Joining Kumon of the Naperville-North location is one of the best decisions that we have made for our childrens academics and academic self-confidence. We began this program for my youngest child who was struggling in math and our older child who is successful in math. Both children have excelled beyond our expectations and have experienced amazing success within the classroom setting. My youngest child, who has always struggled in math, is now one of the top 4 students in her class. Mr. & Mrs. Yee are very warm, friendly and motivating with an abundance of patience. They encourage responsibility and praise each child successes. They will also work closely with our family to accommodate Kumon into our childrens busy schedules between school and extracurricular activities/sports. My children, my husband and I are extremely impressed with Kumon Naperville- North and the difference that it has made in our childrens academic journey. My daughter started about a month and a half before school started. She spent second grade with reading assistance. Our goal was to have her at grade level without reading assistance. She moved quickly up several levels of Kumon and successfully started the school year a little ahead of her class in reading. Dont think this was without a lot of work. We struggle with her to do the work, but she is seeing the rewards of it. She is still in the process of learning that hard work pays off and that you can not reap the rewards without putting in some elbow grease.My youngest wants to be like her older sister and had been begging us to start Kumon. She started a week ago in the reading program. She is only 4 so the program starts at a level that works for her. If she progresses the way it appears she will she should be reading before she begins kindergarten.

I have heard about the Kumon program through some of my co-workers because they often talked about the tremendous help for their children. But before I signed up, I have done some research about the program and after I visited this branch, I was very impressed by Mr. Yees passion for teaching as he described enthusiastically and patiently how the program can help my children to build a solid foundation and exceed their current grade levels.I signed up both of my sons (5th & 3rd grade) for reading and math to keep up with their studies during summer time. Through consistent effort of both the students and teacher, I have seen my sons excelled in both subject areas. The gratifying moment came at the beginning of this school year when they said they did really well on their math quizzes. Their faces beamed up when they told me of their successes.My older son was first to solve all the equations correctly in half the time while the younger son was the only person to solve his problem correctly in time. They said that the Kumon practice sets and teacher’s tips have definitely helped them to work faster and be more accurate. I’ve also observed their independent learning skills has improved greatly as they carefully planned their work before diving in.I am so glad with my choice to go with this center and what a wonderful experience it has been! I would definitely recommend your children to come to this Kumon Naperville North Center.
