Great place to train. The instructors are top notch, They are invested in the success of thier students, knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging.There is a sense of community here where we as students grow, help each other learn, friendly as we all progress under the guidance of the instructors.The mats are clean and great to train on.Andre(owner) is one of the best martial arts instructors I have known.

My kids (8/6) were introduced to jiu jitsu here under Andres instruction. Let me tell you, he is an amazing teacher. Great with kids and thanks to him they love joy jitsu. They learn very well in his environment and hes very fair and generous with pricing. He has a passion for people that you can tell runs deep. Definitely a great experience we will never forget.

This is a just great gym! I remember being a little intimidated when I walked in on my first day, but all the instructors immediately made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxed and interactive and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable!

Ive practiced martial arts most of my adult life and it is rare when you find a school like this one. The instructors have an incredible skill set and can teach as well !If your looking for a school that teaches realistic self defense in a safe environment, this is place !

Excellent place to learn Gracie Jiu Jitsu! Andre is an amazing instructor! Great with kids and adults alike. The facility is nice and clean and spacious. The atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and skill levels and there are no jerks with massive egos. You will learn the most effective self defense in a safe respectful atmosphere!

Andre is a great instructor, whether the student is 5 years old or 85. He truly cares about students progress and about creating a safe and encouraging environment.

Not only he has a good soul and positive energy but he really knows how to teach people and keeps them all safe at the same time.It was nerve racking for me to try out Ji Jitsu for the very first time but André was extremely welcoming and the students are super friendly too. This is a tremendous place to be if you want to learn Jiu Jitsu, build confidence and healthy mindset. 100% recommend! 👍👍

I absolutely LOVED training at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Mukilteo. I trained there for about a year before COVID hit, as did my young daughter.Andre, Dan, Mason, & Nicholas are such great instructors. Patient. Dedicated. Encouraging. And they made it fun for the kids, too. Unfortunately, we had to stop in-person training because of the governors lockdown.In the end - after nearly 20 years in Seattle - we made the decision to leave WA state in favor of a more conservative area. It was a sad day when I walked out of GJJM for the last time. Its a great school, and I miss the friends I made there. Cant recommend it highly enough!Love you guys - wish I could have taken you with me...

I had came to this gym a couple years ago looking for answers within myself and not only was I able to push myself to find those answers in the mat and off the mat but I was able to make great friends along the journey.

My two kids and I train here and love the curriculum and the positive energy. Andre, the instructor/owner, does a phenomenal job at teaching the art to both adults and kids. He makes learning fun for the kids, and mine cant wait to come back to train every week. I enjoy the safe, no ego training as Im more interested in the art and learning for self defense purposes rather than for tournaments. I also have injuries and am able to train around them safely.

I started going to this gym in the beginning of January 2020 and so far its been nothing but great. Ive been doing martial arts throughout my whole life, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best places I have ever visited. Despite my competitive nature, I enjoy how friendly everyone is, very eager to help and it really feels like everyone I trained with has left their ego at the doors of the gym. Its worth noting that André, gym owner, is a stellar example of what a gym owner should be like. When I stepped into the lobby, he noted me from the other side of the gym and came up right away. André made me feel extremely welcomed, and I am truly looking forward for the days when I have classes.If you are looking for a place to learn a classic Gracie (Brazilian) Jiu-Jitsu that focuses on self-defense, this is a place to go. I am also planning to bring my spouse in the future for their Women Empowered self-defense program.
