I have been there multiple times and have been seen by multiple people. If youre just getting a hair cut theyre a great place to go. If you ever want your hair dyed I would suggest doing it at home before I ever suggest having them do it. Everytime Ive gotten my hair dyed its been a waste of time and money and O end up having to fix it myself or pay someone else to fix it.

I have no complaints. Friendly, thorough, reasonably fast, but more important, not rushed. I just get a uniform 6mm or 9mm cut with clippers, so its not too demanding for a beginning student. No frills, no sales pitch, no chatter–just as I like it.

Today I got my hair done/fixed by Johnny. & I can honestly say he was AMAZING. he for sure transformed my hair from being so ugly & bad to beautiful & the PERFECT color. it was left shiny looked so healthy. he was seriously amazing. I’d trust him with anything & everything.

While it depends on what student you may get for a haircut, it is always a good value and they always do a good job, and there is an instructor there that will double check for you that it is what you wanted and that they did a good job.

AJ did an excellent job. The instructor ensured the job was done right.

Absolutely wonderful teaching and learning environment. Had better service from a student with a teacher guiding her than some professionals that have been in the business for over 50 years.

The gentleman who normally answers the phones and who was at the front desk is super friendly and has such a positive attitude! I went in for a European facial with felicity and she did great! The only minor issue i had was that it was really cold in the room. Aside from that the facial was very relaxing!

I went for a shampoo, cut and style. Second time visiting and received excellent service. Expect a longer time for haircut, but the students take their time perfecting the style. Will be returning.

Sad that theres not many good reviews. I was feeling skeptical because its a school, but the cheap prices helped make my decision easy. I got a body perm there and it turned out great!The students are supervised very well. (the teacher came around at least 10 times to check on them) They can spend a lot of time making sure everything turns out just how you want them because they have a little bit more time than a regular salon too!

I graduated from here, requested a copy of transcripts so I could apply to get licensed in Va for massage therapy. They are going to charge me $250.00 for a copy. So please if you graduate from this school, keep the one copy they give you safe and secure. This is ridiculous... Teachers were great 🙂

Horrible service. I got a pedicure here and it looked like a toddler painted my nails. As I got shellac and they are unable to remove it here I was told to go elsewhere if I want good service and left without a refund. All the students told me how bad their products are Im surprised I dont have an infection from their dirty facilities. I wouldnt wish my worst enemy a pedicure here.

I requested Balayage for myself, & paid for shampoo and style for my little girls to pass the time. They styled the girls’ hair very quickly, before my color was even mixed. I was in the chair over 4 hours. The instructor, Sandie, told my student to use a 5 or 10 developer, and my hair turned out ORANGE. They don’t even have the very basics down. On every level, skill/professionalism/service/diplomacy, they fail. When I asked for half of my money back, since they didn’t complete the service I paid for, they refused, saying they never refund. They are charging for services not rendered. The management and instructors are failing their students.

First time going to this place. Hannah Bosley cut my hair and did a fabulous job! She took her time and listened to what I wanted!! Really recommend seeing her for your beauty needs!

The past 2 times I went I was shocked and surprised at how awesome of a job they did on me! They made my hair look just as good as my regular stylist (who charges over 100$) for a fraction of the price!

I had a good experience and would recommend. The staff was friendly, the haircut was great and cheap. $7 for a haircut, cant beat the price.

I had such a good experience with my stylist, Allison. I would deffinatly recomend goong here as long as youre okay with students cuttinf. I had no problems and am in love with my new hair. Everyone was exceptionalky friendly as well

I went here for a simple trim and saying I left completely dissatisfied is an understatement. I was only supposed to have 1.5 inches cut off and ended up losing 3 inches of hair at least, not to mention, the cut is completely uneven and the front of my hair looks terrible. In addition to this terrible haircut, I also had paid for a shampoo and blow out which I never received and because of being so upset about my haircut had forgot about until I had left and got home. I called to ask if I could be refunded the money they charged me for the shampoo and blow out but they told me they dont issue refunds. NEVER GO HERE.

I’m not sure why the instructor would let someone with such little experience cut bangs. The instructor didn’t even bother to help guide the student. If my friend wanted her bangs like that, she wouldn’t have spent $15. A 3 year old could have done it for free. I honestly think she shouldn’t have even paid the $15 but she was a nice person, so she didn’t say anything. But hair is one of the first things people see when they meet you. She shouldn’t have to feel embarrassed with her hair, but now she is due to the terrible haircut, thanks.

Awful! I can not believe what they did with my hair, it is just terrible and ugly now, and they are so rude, never ever would go there again.Even a kid can do better jobs than them. Dont waste your time and money!

My husband and i went in about a month ago. He got a cut and i got a cut and color. My hair is long and it was much lighter at the ends. I wanted it dyed black from a light/medium brown. The ends were sort of blonde. They took around 25 minutes to consult about my hair which i didnt mind at the time because they wanted to make sure it was done right. I appreciated that. The student came back to me and started working without stating what had to be done. About 5 minutes in to her putting dye on my head i asked her what was up. She told me she was doing a filler process so that my hair wouldnt fade. I was told that by doing this,i wouldnt have to worry about fading at all. It was a 3 step process. Two fillers and them the black dye. Without twlling me what was happening (again) she got another box of dye out and started using It. I know at other places it costs more but they usually tell you. I ended up having to pay extra. It took over 4 hours. Mind you i had my 2 month old with me. I had pumped enough breastmilk for him to have one bottle thinking that would be plenty seeing as to how I had just fed him before we left the house. He was starving by the time i was finished. I had to leave before she could even style my hair completely. I left with my hair half curled. I was told repeatedly that by doing the filler process it would prevent any sort of fading.Im not a rookie at dying my hair, so i know to wait a few days before washing and to also use cool water when rinsing. Guys, my hair faded to a dark brown after the first wash. I could have done a better job with dyes from Sallys. It has kept fading with each wash and is now a medium brown with dark brown areas. Im not impressed at all.

If I could give them zero stars I would. All I can say is I learned my lesson on going here and that you get what you pay for. I told the stylist I wanted to color my hair dirty blonde. When I told her this she explained shed have to bleach it first... I was a little apprehensive given my hair is already blonde but I decided just to trust her. WRONG. So she bleached it and colored it. After first washing my hair it came out ORANGE. so she went back and colored it again and it came out YELLOW. she told me this is all she could do and that I could come back and pay more money to get highlights... Then when she was finished she rushed me out before her instructor could come over and grade her. She left my hair so fried and damaged. A few days later I had to go someone to get it fixed and had to pay 3 times what I paid there. Would not recommend to anyone

They dont know what they doing i pay $40 for gels n hair that i did not let them touch me they suck at teaching there students the correct way😐

I was a previous student there & the owner not only broke my confidentiality but slandered me by calling me a crackhead. so i don’t recommend that school at all!

The students do not know what they are doing. They agree to do hair coloring that they do not know how to do and the instructer allows it!!

The owner, Mr.Sodomick, is rude and unprofessional. Anyone wanting a cheap haircut to help out a student should go to LBI or literally ANY other salon or beauty school.

Horrible place, students are rude, manager and owner encourage it. Was my first and last time ever going there again. Full experience is listed on YP review. Totally unprofessional.

You can go here to get any beauty related service for a fraction of the cost due to students getting hours in. Good deal for similar quality places that youd pay 2xs the amount for.
