My children attended CVM for three years. It was great to have many stable staff members over the years to count on and have relationships with both my children. It was fun to watch our kids learn each day. At times I thought they knew more than us!

Would not recommend parents to enroll their children at this daycare. There has been teachers in the preschool room who I recently found out were reported for abusing some of the children that attended this daycare. Their names are Ardana Gross and Lisa Rangel. Also some of the other teachers in the infant room are very lazy and do not interact with certain children. In my opinion due to favoritism. Every time I’ve come to pick up my child I’ve noticed him being ignored and always crying in his crib while the teachers are either on their phone sitting down or eating. Some of the teachers aren’t welcoming and they just want you to get your child and go. I’ve complained numerous times about my son not being changed on time and they always say he was sleeping for a long time but every time I would come in the classroom he’d be in his crib awake and crying. I’m glad I chose to take my son out of this daycare and the owner of the daycare Mary just let’s the teachers do whatever they want and doesn’t give them any type of consequences for what they do to those children and it’s very sick!!

While Ive not utilized this center for my children who are all grown adults, I can say that Ive known Mary the owner for YEARS and have never met a more dedicated person to the heart, soul and well being of the children she provides care for. Everything she does is for the children. When you walk in the door the feeling is that of excitement and joy. As her insurance agent, its easy to understand why the walls are bursting at the seams with happy customers. My star rating is based on Mary as a business partner and observations as I visit the center.

We had both of our kids at CVM from the time they wrew babies. They are grown-up now. We still stay in touch with the center even though we no longer live in Minnesota. Mary Jane, Lisa, Letty are are like family to us and they are an amazing team. We feel very lucky to have found them. The other staff was always great, too. Mary Jane runs a wonderful little Village.

The price is very reasonable and the staff are great. Our daughter started going at 6 months. She gets so excited when I pull in the parking lot to drop her off. Very happy with this place. Side note- not many places are as flexible in the pick up drop off times. 630a-6p is great!

My child has attended CVMDC since he was 6 weeks old, and hes now 4. Its a very close-knit group of teachers there, many of whom bring their own children to school there. Ive gotten to know each of his teachers very well as he moved from the infant, to mobile babies, to toddler, and finally to the preschool rooms. Ive always felt very comfortable knowing that my child was safe and well-cared for there. And its an incredible bargain compared to what other daycare centers charge. Their new facility is beautiful and spacious. Im very happy with the amount of feedback I get on how my child is doing. Im very grateful for CVMDC.

We began sending our kiddo to Childrens Village when she was 6 months old (Dec 2016- shes almost 10 months now). We were hesitant about a center, as we came from an in-home daycare situation that wasnt working out. We were worried it was too big and our daughter wouldnt get the attention/care that she required since staff attention may be divided by so many other kids. We had this vision of an assembly line style of care giving, which made me super uneasy.Mary, the owner offered a long list of references (current and former parents) after our tour. Upon calling ALL of the references provided, I was blown away by all of the positive reviews. Many of my fears about a big bad center were eased by listening to the fellow parents who talked about this place like it was a gold mine. The cost is affordable and the facility is nice (newer). The infant teachers are so sweet and seem to genuinely care about my little one. They spend time playing with my daughter, but also give her space and independence to explore her surroundings and socialize with the other babies. From what Ive seen, and by talking to other parents, the staff turnover rate is quite low. This is a huge positive in terms of consistency in caring for the babes. The infant room is divided into 2 areas- the little baby room (where my daughter is) and the mobile baby room- which is great for the infants that are more active in their walking, crawling, playing. The location is convenient for us. Its located right on the edge of UofM campus, near TCF bank stadium. They have a great big play yard (with a brand new swing set) outside.Im very happy with our decision to enroll our daughter at Childrens Village and recommend highly!

I went for a tour due to the reviews! This place is the worst! Toddlers are locked up ina room with no windows, running around with no shoes and runny noses. It reminded me of sardines... yeah, not good!

We had our daughter in their program for a total of 7 days. In those 7 days, she developed horrible diaper rash to the point of her being in constant discomfort, a respiratory infection, we found her several times crying uncontrollably with no staff attempting to comfort or sooth her. When collecting her belongings, we found a dirty moldy onsie (that didnt even belong to her) in the basket that also contained her diapers. They also never collected our immunization records for her, which we asked several times who we should give them to. Concerning that we now dont know who else they did (or didnt) have pertinent health records for.Since pulling her and placing her in another facility, her diaper rash is almost gone, respiratory infection almost cleared, and not once have we witnessed her being blatantly ignored when upset. The concerns and problems that we witnessed were so bad that a report to Department of Human Services was made.

We love CVM. Our son started here when he was six months old; now three+, he loves his friends and his time at school. Our daughter started at three months and clearly loves her baby room teachers.CVMs price is very reasonable for good center day care. The new building is nice, I like that they have their own playground that is safely right next to the building.

I own a company construction company that built out the children village and still have not been paid from this group. The owners Mary Jane Rasmussen, Mohamed Abdi and Victor Muslani they gave me unreasonable timelines and then decided to withhold money from me. I would not trust this group they have hurt my family and many others. They owe me close to $60,000.00. I am frustrated and annoyed by this group of individuals. If they will destroy me who else will they scam???

My name is Brandon Murdock and i pay for day care at this facility and also a active father in my two childrens life. On December 16th on my daughters birthday i called the Day Care to find out when my kids went on lunch because I wanted to drop of cupcakes to her class. So for the 1st two times no one answered then the 3rd time i called from my girlfriends phone (different number) my call was answered. I asked the staff on the lunch time and was told quickly that my child wasnt there and i paused for a few seconds unsure if i could trust what the staff was telling me due to the attitude and rudeness i was receiving from the phone call. I told the staff OK have a good day and was quickly hung up on.I was texted by my childs mother stating do not contact the daycare about childs name. I was confused on why the staff felt it was their place to contact my childs mother 1 when my child isnt in harms way or sick 2 my children arent even in school 3 it isnt a staffs place to get involved in family issues and matters. It is out of place for a staff to use clients personal information and use it outside or inside work. Extremely unprofessional. So i called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that she would be addressing this to the class. I still as a paying client and father felt uncomfortable with how things where being handled .I contacted Mary DUE TO NO ONE CONTACTING ME ABOUT HOW THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED OR A FALLOW UP.I wasnt allowed to see my child due to the issue that happened with this company and my child on my daughters birthday and needed a incident report on the issue that acured with my childs mother ant the day care and was told NO ? only reason why i see im not allowed to get one because they know they can get in big trouble and it crosses the HIPPA LAW and many more. They are swiping many issues under the rug and i will no longer keep quit i fallowed a report as you can see with the better business bureau and letting child protection be aware of the issue as well notifying the judge on the recorded video i have of Mrs. Mary trying to protect her staff at her daycare and not us clients personal information and privacy act or it being shared and used as a weapon against children seeing their fathers.I would never let my children go here and im working with the courts to get them switched out.
