MPS is the worst school district in the nation. They do not have a handle on Covid-19. Cases continues to pop up since school started on 9/2/21. Bus transportation is low staffed due to Covdi-19, hours, and pay. Keith P. Posley is the worst Superintendent to have for MPS. What are you doing to address these issues? Children are missing school due to no transportation. Virtual learning is a joke. Is this the new normal for our childrens future? I wish Keith P. Posley would resign from his position. So tired of seeing people thats supposed to be in leadership not doing anything for the betterment of our children.

My 4.0 sophomore daughter commented I should start failing in school so me too can be allow to go back. There are students who are working hard to keep their grades and represent MPS well. Give all the parents and students the option to choose or keep them all home. Thanks for the exclusion. Great amendment Baez.

I was pleasantly surprised today on my visit, the female security guard was extremely friendly and the staff working in the GED/extended learning department were great as well. I’ve had not so great experiences in the past but this gave me some hope for MPS. It only takes one nice helpful person to improve and brighten someone’s day, thereby improving the overall experience.I hope someday this place is able to get a brand new, up to date building.

This school board allows teachers to fight with special needs students and return to work. Children should always be protected even if they have a disability that causes them not to be a perfect student they should not be punished for a untrained teacher loosing her cool and spitting back on a child and hitting them in the face. Thanks for not treating my child like she matters. My 11 year old is scared to go to school because the 50 years old lady was allowed to spit back at her and fight her like a grown woman but because my child has disabilities and it was the teachers first offense it was justified.

The most rudest people I have ever dealt with since I have been a MOTHER. I quickly got my children enrolled with private school choice program. I refuse to put my kids in the hands and care of schools where they have employees putting their hands on students. Not to mention the enrollment services employees HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDES TOWARDS PARENTS!

While there are a few wonderful teachers, administrators and other staff here, your best bet would be to not enroll your child here. There are major physical and mental safety issues that prevent teachers that actually try to do their jobs from teaching. Too many staff that are content with doing a mediocre job or the bare minimum. Try to address an issue and you get bounced around like a little rubber ball. I have been waiting for nearly a month for someone to return a phone call regarding my child not receiving instruction in courses imperative for him to advance to the next level, as well as the loss of his cumulative folder - all of his grades and accolades from the beginning of his time with this place. They really should shut all of the brick and mortars down, retain the best teachers and administrators and make it an online only situation.

Graduated in July 2018 with many of my friends. Have not received high school diploma in months. Can not find any decent jobs that do not require high school credentials. I have to work my butt off at minimum wage and work extra hours just to make a decent check, not enough to move out of the basement though.

The school board used to be trained to help parents and students with a school that is best for that families needs. Today in 2019, they are more so of protecting there own. They not answering any questions. There are rules to follow they say, what about the safety and well-being of that child. Children are commenting suicide because of bullying, I can point out one school. That is so bad and the staff rewards those children whom are the bully’s. I will fight until there’s no more life in me.

MPS lowers the standards every year in hopes of bringing up their numbers, it makes getting good grades easier, but what also bothers me is the fact that they block every website known to man, that isnt deemed educational, you cant play games, you cant listen to music, the only thing you can really do, is go on a few group of websites that are educational it also bothers me that the budget that goes into lunch is so low that every plate of food you receive within the district taste like chop liver, or worse. All in all, the district of Milwaukee public schools, just brings me to insanity and madness. I would leave, but Im afraid I have nowhere to go.

Grantosa has high rates do to not disciplining students for bullying and fighting/hitting students and staff. Their more concerned about attendance than the safety and education of the students thats there to learn. Its so unfortunate that those parents, students and staff that is there to work together are the ones that suffer do to keeping up a record that is not at all accurate. Just like politics some things are just for show.

Going to the central office for help to enroll youre kid is a horrific and extremely enraging process at this location. The staff thats there to help you only make you do circles and all you want is for youre kid to be enrolled. I understand that sometimes its a parent fault for being late in the process but Im there to get the help I need to enroll my son who has special needs and theyre there to do their job and cant even get that right. I understand that theres alot of people in need of theyre services but if theyre not helping what are they doing? Ive come to this location 3 times and get told something different every single time! And at the end of the process still tell me to go do my own research when I dont even know what Im supposed to research wich is why I was there in the first place for help...

MPS has some of the worst schools in the nation. We have lived in many states and this is by far this worst school district we have ever encountered.Very biased and racist toward students who are not African American. The teachers are understaffed, over worked, the children are horrendous and allowed to run wild. They are allowed to be on their phones, recording and harassing other students, staff and even parents w/out being reprimanded. The food served is mediocre, lacking in nutrients, and the staff refuses to adhere to dietary restrictions or allergies. And lets not even start in on the current superintendent (who thankfully is leaving for Detroit) b/c wed be here all day.

A lot of the inner city schools have gotten bad, but it goes both ways. Ive witnessed the bad behavior of children of all ages, and Ive seen first hand teachers and staff major frustrations. After awhile, staff attend for a paycheck to support their families, and the parents send their children off to get out of their hair. I had my youngest child enrolled at Elm Street School of The Arts, and it was a beautiful school, children smiling, they would put on shows, then three years later, the halls smell of marijuana from parents smoking while driving children to school, their kids cursing out teachers, parents not getting involved in their childrens school work or activities, parents disrespectful to staff in front of their kids, so after awhile, the staff are tired. They want to educate, but how can u when ur getting cursed out by a 3rd grader or hit by teen for asking them to begin lessons. It goes both ways. Silver Spring school and Parkview are the best mps schools, they care and the children and parents are Awesome!
