The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

Osher has been a life saver for me. Ive enjoyed the many classes that I signed up for and have met many interesting people and made more friends. Cant wait for things to return to normal.

UWM School of Continuing Education offers a wide array of professional development. I have had the opportunity to take courses ranging from digital marketing to project management, from foreign language to leadership. The instructors here are subject matter experts that teach skills with immediate, on-the-job application. SCE is fantastic!

For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. Ive enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. But Ill admit, Im looking forward to the day that we can meet, travel, eat, and learn together in person again.

Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her tips helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!

Osher at UWM has provided a plethora of stimulating programs for lifelong learners in a community of fellow students who have become colleagues and good friends.

There is such a wonderful variety of courses offered, and a great way to spend time learning, especially when we cant be together in -person.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didnt miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. Im proud to be a member of an organization that recognize me as an individual and values my input and membership.

I have enjoyed many Osher courses. I especially have gained insightsfrom Paula Friedmans book discussions and Kathy Johnsons film analyses and other courses. I have also been happy to teach classes on art history.Osher makes retirement fulfilling!

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is OUSTANDING! It offers classes on History, Literature, Art, and even current events. Zoom classes have been offered since the Pandemic arrived along with many other class options. Osher even offers tech classes to learn how to Zoom with a Tech Support Team to offer personalized assistance. You wont regret your decision to become a member!
