Ive been at OHLA School in Brickell on May last year and it was a blast! The staff is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is positive and the teachers care for their students individually. Its a family-based school and you can feel and experience it because youll be welcomed in a personal way. My personal plus is the school building itself, where you have all what you need for a perfect language course: two huge pools & jaccuzzis (!), a gym, a small nice café where you can eat delicious empanadas, an affordable nice Sushi Bar & bright & spacious classrooms with a supernice view on Brickell!

Back in 2009, when I was assigned to the TOEFL preparation course, and it was my first trip to the USA within 4 weeks and up to the present 2017, we had been sending our students to OHLA many times, I would strongly recommend OHLA in order to improve English skills, enjoy staying in Miami (nowadays they have more location in other States), as well as save money and time by working with professionals.Starting from application processing, OHLA representatives were really fast and answered my letters item by item. Im 29, it is suppose that an English school is fully of only young guys. This one isnt an exception but there are also guys that are working and come there to refresh their English. I really like the instruction received there, during the week is very similar to the education that you can receive at a normal school, but on Friday the school is open to other people from the interland and the lessons have very varied topics, in this moment you can meet people with an high level of English. Not all the teachers are from us but, in any case, they are very professional, I really appreciated the lessons of Areli.The activities for the students organized by the school arent so much, but I appreciate the help of Fabian, the activity director, in the organization of my private trips.I appreciated how the direction follow the students, Lisa is very gentle and fast to answer to my emails.The residents of the residence are usually younger than me, in any case it is easy to find friends among them. The cleaning service is very good.

I am very disappointed in this school. The management forces the instructors to move the students through the book levels no matter what. It is literally a factory of getting students through their program. I am a first generation immigrant who sought out a school that I thought would best teach me the English language and American culture, unfortunately OHLA didnt meet those standards. They only care about if you show up to class on time so they avoid harrassment from Immigration services. They literally could care less what you learn and any of the instructors who go outside their agenda are not renewed for next semester. I seriously would not recommend anyone attend this school if they value their money and education.

OHLA its one of the best English institutes in Miami, so if come it will be like 2 in 1! Nice weather & good school. Talking about the class its so amazing because each level divided into 3 months and every two weeks you have to take a quiz. And most of students are sociable so it will be easy to practice your language with them.I prefer to live in Brickell because you are in the downtown and if you want hanging out you will save your time and money than if you live far from the school.Mr. Fabian, hes the person in charge of orginzaing activities in OHLA he is one of the best orginzer activities.Thanks.

I would like to share my experience at OHLA. First of all, the people there are simply wonderful. And they are really professional at what they do. They have excellent teachers and very good and convenient accommodation. I spent a week in Miami with 2 students who studied there - they had One to One lessons of English. Both girls were so happy after finishing their courses that I received many grateful words both from them and their parents. The girls who studied there used to study in the UK before coming to OHLA, so it was not their first visit abroad to study English. I remember that while we were discussing the courses with the Director of Studies before our visit it was a truly individual approach. I was asked about students preferences and even features of character in order to choose best suitable teachers.During our stay there we were surrounded with smiles, attention and very good English. Since I have a Cambridge degree of an English Language Teacher I seem to understand what a good command of English really is.What is more - the school is very well organized. The classrooms are well equipped and clean, full of light. The building is situated in a good district of Miami, Brickell. It is a very nice building where students also have access to swimming pools and gyms. I remember that we really enjoyed swimming pools. I studied at OHLA Miami for two years and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. On one hand, I improved my English skills, which allowed me to find a better job and to get a better grasp of the American culture; on the other hand, because of its truly international environment, with students from around the globe, I had the chance to build longtime friendships with amazing people from different cultures and backgrounds.
