“Magdiel Fernandez “ aka Teresa and “Ricardo Melendez” violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida’s wire tap law. I enrolled in the school for a 2 week course. From day one, I was at the school for a total of 11 hours a day. I was only given 10 minutes to practice driving the tractor trailer per day. After a few days I complained to Juan, the manager and a woman named Sammy. After a week of my concerns being ignored by all, I requested to speak to the owners which I was denied. I was given a number to call and a woman who claimed to be named “Teresa” answered and spoke to me with my husband on the line. I respectfully told her my concerns about my lack of proper training and was told she would address it. We had a conversation where she raised her voice, made excuses and gas lighted me.. I was told to call her again. Nothing changed. I continued to get 10 minutes on truck and very poor training. I called “Teresa” again and she failed to pick up the telephone to take my calls. I blocked my number after numerous attempts to call her so she would not know it was me calling. I tried calling back numerous times but Teresa would not take my calls or address my lack of proper training. This school is highly disorganized, makes promises to students and then takes their money and does not deliver. They take on too many students and that leaves little time for proper time on truck and instruction. I have witnessed students paying instructors off. In fact, I witnessed, Michelet, an instructor ask a student for money. Most of the iinstructors are egotistical and rude. There are one or two that are half way decent but still don’t care as they do as told or nothing but play with their phones. Sammy in the office was advised of my Veteran status and need for accommodations from the start of my enrollment. Sammy claimed she called the state but was merely told that I was to tell the testing examiner. On the day of both my inspection & parking tests I told both examiners of my Veteran status accommodations but was ignored. I passed my inspection test. I failed my parking test due to time running out as the examiner ignored me when I told him about my rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act and need for Accommodation and violated Federal law. I lost time in the office insisting that Sammy called Florida‘s DMV so I could get my accommodations but Sammy was complacent and dismissive as she said there was nothing she could do as she only worked there. I want to point out that even if I was given extra time at this point, I still would not have passed my parking test as i was not properly trained. A student came up to me and provided a diagram of the offset maneuvers as well as alley dock and explained what I was doing wrong. When I tried to do the alley dock I did not know how to do it as I was never given a visual diagram of the maneuver or given sufficient practice. My parking test was rescheduled in 3 days and in between while I waited to be retested I still did not get sufficient training. I documented my entire day and took pictures of my watch and documented in writing my entire 11 hours at the school. I did not receive any intensive training as told by administration. Not surprisingly, I failed my parking test a second time. Terrible School! Avoid it like COVID-19!

Anyone looking to join this company stay far away.On this day 9/18/2021 one of there driver was found dead in the sleeper. This company reported that they abandon there truck. Not one time did they try to do a warfare check on the driver. There only worry about there equipment. Stay far away from this place there better companies out there that’s family oriented.

1. I called spoke to a nice lady I believe her name was Anna2. Because of her I drove to the location.3. At the location spoke with a guy name Juan. He was not pleasant or helpful4. but I needed to attend a truck driving school for training and signed up on Saturday to start Monday.5. The schedule shared in the beginning did apply when I arrived on Monday. They were not organized.6. I called AMX to share my incident for disputing and AMX recommended for me to speak with a manager for refund since it was one day after another and the charges was still pending and not charged7. Spoke to the Manager her name was Damaris. She was nice trying to find alternative solutions because she was not interested to provide me with my refund request regarding my issue I Shared.She wanted me to go back to Juan and I explain why? Since she is the manager and Juan on Friday was not helpful but rude. I expressed that it would not be a good idea for a manager to send me back to Juan who is not a manager in order for me and he to avoid getting in a confrontation. Not smart.She than came up with the excuse that I need to call corporate.I then asked for the telephone number. She said I need to get off the wall outside and asked if she can please write it down for me? Of course she said no. Not so nice anymore.I got the phone of the wall to call corporate. To my surprise it’s a cell phone number which was off and took me straight to voicemail. Voicemail was not activated and can not leave a message.I sign up on Saturday at 5:40PM with a very unpleasant customer service experience and after learning how the services are on Monday morning which was not explained properly on Saturday. I requested a refund on my credit card that was still a pending transaction and was denied by the manager.This is my experience with this trucking school. I really wish I did not have to write this review but unfortunately this could have been avoided if they could take the time to care a little about there potential customers

Worst school in south Florida, I came all the way from LA California thinking it was gonna be better but it was not, they only care about your money as soon as you paid them youre on your own, they dont care if you learn or not, theres only one teacher for all the students there. i do not recommend this school at all.

They make discrimination, if you are not Spanish, do not go there. They do not value your time, They put a lot of none necessaries processes, They only care about VIP plan who pay a lot of money. They do not respect themselves. They have only two good and great instructors to be honest with you. Police always go there they always have trouble with students. I went there at the end, I left and I will search for and other school where the priority will not be the money but the TRAINING.

The teachers do their job well and are experienced in this subject, they tell it repeatedly and their teaching styles are successful. Their education areas are wide.

The State of Florida DOT Inspector Office was called about this schools designated road test administrator and they said they have an active investigation into him and the school for malpractice. Also the good reviews are fake they won’t be around long. If you had issues with this road test admin call the state of Florida dot inspection office they are nice and will take complaints seriously about this place.

If u are serious about getting your CDL they have the right teachers to help you get your CDLs but you have to put in the work nothing will be given to you and you also have to have your mind Focus I appreciate this School my mind was focused on what I needed to do and with their help I was able to finish CDL School once again thank you Metropolitan Trucking and thank you to the teachers that helped me

Im a real student and recognize many people that are given five stars in this review . I really dont understand why people would put one star if you get a real CDL at the end. Most people think that theyre going to hold your hand and give you a CDL. You have to go in there and want to get it. They will give you the right tools and good instruction to take the first step to become a professional driver. And thats what I wanted. Im very happy with the results that Ive gotten from Metropolitan.. The main reason it takes so long to get in a truck is because there is so many people there(so what does that tell you when theres lots of people?). Its a great school for what youre trying to get. Anybody who puts one star is just lazy and didnt want to get a CDL. They only dream of it. And Metropolitan help me accomplish that dream.

A good place! As an every place it has its advantages and disadvantages. Trucks are really old and broken, but also just imagine how many people that don’t know how to operate this vehicles drive them every day all the day long. So my point is that if you will figure out how to operate such vehicles, for sure you will be ready for the road. About the lines, if u really need to practice a lot, so come there at 7am and be there till 8pm. And you will get what you need. Lazy people may get one chance a day to drive the truck, so they become mad and write their negative comments after that. Instructors are really great guys, all of them, really appreciate their help. All of them are the professionals! So everything depends from your attitude. But generally I’m fully satisfied with this school, the main advantage for me was time that they allow me to get ready for the tests and pass the test. I came here from Chicago so I needed to go back as soon as possible. And I did that in 6 days. I took a rush program, was there every day from they start at 7am till they close at 8pm. That was what I planned so I got that. Fully satisfied!

They are very Helpful, gave me a lot of Information in order to take my CDL Road Test.

If you want to waste your time and not get your CDL go to them. They take too many students and do not accord enough time to students. If you are not spanish do not go there. Instructors barely speak english. They are gonna tell you lies on the phone until you pay. Of course no receipt is given to you. WORST SCHOOL EVER!! SCAMMERS!!!!

Great school to get your CDL without waiting in waiting list...and an affordable price. Great trainers, very supportive and good techniques if you ask for it! Liz, is an angel, worked hard to satisfy my needs for exam rescheduling. I am so grateful to Sami! She is the best part about school. All students outside say the same thing- if you need help, see Sami! She tries to solve all issues for you and is very nice and understanding. The other ladies in the front are nice too, but they end up always calling Sami to help and solve your problems anyways. I sign up at other school location in 29 st and had very bad experience. The girl in the front made a mistake when putting documents into their system. She never told me the permit was incorrect, did not notice until this school location checked the documents when putting my test. I am from Washington. Sammi is amazing. She called me in the office and explained everything, gave me all my options and helped me call the dmv which is not her job. I got my permit fixed but had to wait 14 day. I texted Sami when I got permit, she programmed my exams that same day so I would have the dates already. She made sure to guide me and help me because mr English is not very well. I am very grateful to her and Damaris at the office for helping me! Don’t go to other school! Speak to Sami or Damaris here!!

This school has great instructors and examiners. They teach you everything you need to know. If you pay attention you will have no problem with this school. Shout out to Robert, Jose,Jesus, Greg, Alex, and definitely Cooper. You guys are fantastic and I really appreciate each and every minute of education you provided to me. I cant say enough good things about this school. The ladies in the office are also very cooperative and very nice.

A good place to practice, learn, and prepare yourself to get your cdl. I started from scratch and got finish in like a month and a half. Great people there willing to help you through. You have to be willing and committed to do your work to learn, study, and practice that’s on you. The staff at metropolitan were nice to me and provided a good guidance.

Damaris is the best person working for metropolitan, she is amazing, always try to help, kind, she is the only reason I write a review, when I did my route test I recommended everybody to ask to don’t be tested with Jose, this guy is rude, he rushes the students, when he tells you right or left you can barely hear him, it is really unsafe and unethical rushing a student while driving a truck on traffic, I wanted to wait for green light to turn right but Jose rush me to turn on red .

This school was amazing. The instructors are great and the office staff are very helpful.The prices were ridiculously cheap.You cannot find those prices anywhere in Miami.The classes were very informative and the instructors are patient with the students.I did not know anything about driving trucks and they taught me everything I needed to know to be a good truck driver.I am ready to start my career and go on the road. They are for sure the best school in town.

Im thankful we chose Metropolitan for our CDL. Affordable, with unlimited training and test retakes whats not to love. Just make sure to speak up and theyll take great care of you. The teachers are great and the company is one big family.

This school is not a good school to attend. They are quick to sign you up and take your money. 1st of all their school is not recognized by majority of trucking companies. 2nd, When you sign up for the school they will never explain to you the hours you supposed to complete to receive a certificate due to the fact that they cause over $3000. 3rd, It would take you so long to receive the hours in order for you to get their certificate due to the fact that they are so many students there and there so many teachers that do not even speak English that good. I attended that school last year and still having hard time getting with a company.

This is the most unorganized place ever! There’s no parking, the classes are overcrowded, and English is a 3rd language. You literally have scream at people to get some type of understanding. They take your money and send you outside. No schedule or anything. You have to demand a schedule and did I mention there’s no place to park! They just take your money and throw you to the wolves. They should have a class limit but they don’t. Therefore you’re in a overcrowded situation with little to no attention! If could give them a 0 star rating in still wouldn’t be enough! My personal experience with metropolitan. I began this school no more than 3 weeks ago. I was referred to it through a family member not knowing, that this was going to be the biggest regret of my life. Initially, the office staff is the biggest disappointment. They are so unorganized its sad. Ive had my paperwork lost, appointments not scheduled, given false direction, lack of information upon commencement of school, terrible communication, and constantly left with confusion. Secondly, I would have to speak on instructors. Out of the load of instructors on staff, only a handful (or less) actually knew what the hell they were doing. Between the instructors and examiners, I dont know who lacks patience the most. I hate being rushed or pressured when attempting to do something new to me. Sadly, this is how you will be treated. For my pre trip inspection, I had the roughest time. On of the horrible instructors would leave our group to go talk and laugh while we stood dumbfounded. It was so bad that I ended up teaching myself the entire truck which was entirely stressful. Upon my last day, I had a road test (which was my worse day might I add). I received a call the day prior while at work informing me of my test the next day at 1pm. So, that following day I arrived at metropolitan an hour prior. Shortly after, it ended up being 1:10pm. I asked when would I be given my test. The office workers told me what test. I stated that I had arrived early and havent been shown any attention at all. They checked the system and it reflected the time of 1pm as well. One of the workers called the examiner and they told me he would be there in ten minutes. The examiner came at 1:50pm and told me he didnt know why they scheduled me for 1pm when the state had its own appointed times that you could drive. I failed to understand why this wasnt communicated with the office staff. Overall, if I had to personally give my feedback towards this school Id say this, DO NOT GO TO METROPOLITAN IT IS THE WORSE TRUCKING SCHOOL. I do not know how they received almost five star rating but its a joke. Take it from someone who finished 07/15/2017.

I stop by to get some information . I went to the information desk I waited 15 min wile the. Employe finish he’s conversation with another employee about food . He final made eye contact and look upset that I intervene on his conversation about pastelitos . Very unprofessional doesn’t care about potential customers he speak to you with no respect . I am extremely happy with my experience here at Metropolitan. I did a five-day Rush package. The price was fair and I felt more than capable of passing all of my exams once I was done after the five days. The staff here is incredible and bilingual. Very friendly very knowledgeable and very accepting to experience. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is getting their CDL.

They sell lies and have no order or schedule. They pick select people to give good service to and everyone else doesnt matter. Some of them doesnt even speak English an refuse to help you. AND THEY DONT TEACH, unless you raise a lot of hell.

In the yard they teach the right ways to do your maneuvers, the instructors will also have you do maneuvers that will cause you to have to correct the mistake(s) you made.If you need your CDL A, then I would hands down highly recommend taking a flight to Miami Florida.Good luck

Decent school. I passed all my tests the first time. Cheap prices also they give you discounts if youre lucky. Also all the ladies in the office are very beautiful so thats a plus.

It’s so sad that I have to write this but we have spent so much money and the quality of service that was presented to us at the time of paying was not provided. Drove every Saturday because that was the only time it was available for me they had told me my course was an amount come to find out all the major companies require a 160 hr certificate of you driving I had asked the young lady attending me if that all I needed she told me yes and NEVER mentioned anything about the 160 hr course, let alone when you go Saturday’s they are always short staffed and take almost all day to get you on a truck, very unprofessional, to get a test schedule was a nightmare had to wait almost 2 months - they don’t teach you the correct requirement that are needed for you to go in the industry. All they care is for the money that you are paying and not providing the service that it is required. The staff was very rude, never answered your questions always stated they will call you back and never do. The instructors never on time and very understaff - I would honestly really think about coming here and go somewhere where you will pay and have someone really dedicate there time with you and show you what needs to be shown. I would never recommend anyone here at all.

I liked this school very very much.The price is I think the most fair price in US and even in FLORIDA, thats why I saw people from all over the US, which is I think the down side, lines are too long, but the instructors and exzaminers are very nice, and because tere are so many students they have no reason to fail you in a purpose. (My nephew was in Palm Beach school they did that to him...)I was going only on Saturdays, I was able to practice only 2-3times a day, but before to do the exercises I would ask the instructors how to do the exercises correctly, and then do it. Before the tests they explained and practiced with us very well so well be ready for the test.I practiced for only 6 Saturdays and passed the tests.Im very happy I chose this school, saved a lot of money and got the license very quickly.

This was a real blessing to attend this trucking school. You get all the on hand help that you need. I would recommend Metropolitan Trucking and Technical to anyone who is looking to drive trucks or buses. Theyre the Best!!!!

My experience at Metropolitan Trucking was great. Everyone out in the yard was helpful they treated me with patience. The office staff always helped me with everything.I would recommend this school to anyone.

I loved the school I give them one hundred stars. When I first came here I couldnt even turn a truck on. Now I can drive them and I know all the parts of the truck inside out. Highly recommend they will work hard stay late with you and give you all the help you need. My first driving test I failed they explained my mistakes worked close with me and helped me. I am so proud I went to this school, if you want to truly be a truck driver and take pride in trucking..... this is the school for you.

Dont believe this fake rating. This school is completely disorganized with broken equipment. Rude stuff which dont want to listen to you at all. If you pay money for service you expect to have more less good service. Theres no service in this school. The condition of trucks are absolute mess! Dont waste your money and valuable time!

School has fulfilled its obligations in full, in principle, I am satisfied, all it took 1 month. now I get right and I am glad teachings. instructors very competent and explain intelligibly. the staff are friendly and helpful. I put 5 stars.

From day one I felt very comfortable.The office personel really helped me inchoosing the appropriate program for me.Out in the yard everyone helped me achievemy goals from the inspection classes to theparking training.In overall I will recommend this School toeveryone.

I have a trainee from this school and he knows nothing. As you can see from the pictures they have no room to back in the backing lot. They dont train with a sleeper truck or 53 foot trl. That is why my trainee can t back . Dont waste your money at this school.

My experience at metropolitan CDL school has been one I will always remember. The staff always gave me the best information about what course I needed for the trucking services I plan to provide. The instructors had the ability to inform me on how to properly identify all parts associated with trucks. And safety was one of the key factors in the training course.

This is the best I have ever been they give me great service. I am very satisfied great practice all of the worker are very friendly they see you as family. I went to another school they treated my as a nothing I spent 3 months there they charged me almost $3000 when I came to metropolitan they charged me under $1000 and I spent only 3 weeks I learned much more than what they did on the 27th ave. I would recommend everyone who needs to have their Cdl licensed or a cheap price and good service to metropolitan.

Please! don’t go to this school. once you graduate. it is hard to get job with good trucking companies. most of trucking companies don’t accept students from this school, and they don’t answer the recruiters calls to verify your hours you will be definitely regretted. please do a lot of research before going to this school. there management is unorganized most of there instructors are unprofessional they don’t care about you all they care is your money, and this school is not credible to any trucking companies anymore. That is way this school charge you $1800 there is no CDL license for $1800 try to find a better school please
