I am at this school currently,In my opinion its a good school. I know it has its great opportunities,for all students.I read in some of the comments that Its a bad school,the students are rude Thats not the schools fault,its the students and parents..The students here [Majority not all] have to learn to be more wise and take advantage of the great opportunities offered here at slam.I really love my school,I have fun everyday.I enjoy being part of the singing club and soccer.

There is a place where students get involved learn and see a future ...SLAM.This is the one place where they get motivated, encouraged and passionate about.The place that is always looking forward to improve and serve.Thanks to all staff and the people behind scenes who makes possible such a great difference in our community.

SLAM MIAMI HAS A SUMMER CAMP THAT GETS BETTER AND BETTER EACH DAY. ONE OF THE ONLY CAMPS AROUND THAT SERVES BREAKFAST, LUNCH, PLUS SNACK EACH DAY! THE FIELD TRIPS ARE COST FRIENDLY AND FUN! THERE IS ALSO A GREAT COUNSELOR TO CAMPER RATIO SO YOUR CHILD WILL ALWAYS BE UNDER SUPERVISION. GREAT PLACE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD SPEND THE SUMMER!

For a school called SLAM (Sports leadership), they don’t teach leadership, sportsmanship, or integrity. They do teach to win at all costs. They don’t care about the officials, other athletes, or other fans. They don’t play clean games and set out to purposefully degrade and physically injure their opponents. I know because I am a parent of an athlete they did this to. We dread playing Slam because we know they play dirty.If you want your child to learn leadership, sportsmanship, and integrity, don’t send them to this school.

It is a great school it gives you college credits and yeah i know the school doesnt give great food but its not a restaurant its a school so chill out.... I go to this school and it is amazing.... all you say is that the staff lies.... one person said that and now you want to say it... come up with your own comment and go to this school before you say anything.....

Like everything, it needs a little improvement, but I did have a lot of fun and I love the staff. The school is usually clean, but with over 900 kids, theres no surprise to see a little trash often, i only wish they improve the food, but the school is pretty educational and has a lot of programs. I enjoyed SLAM.

It was great to hear that other SLAMs are opening in Florida as well as nationwide.My grandchildren go there and my entire family feels blessed to have them learn with caring teachers in a state-of-the-art facility.They are very well connected and my grandchildren are always excited to go to school - everyday!Hope they continue on their mission to educate and nurture children in one of Miamis toughest neighborhoods, Way to go, SLAM!!!!

From the beginning this school has made promises but never commited too them. This school hides the flaws in the program, because if they dont they wont have the ability to expand in other locations. For 2 years, a large quantity of students had to be taught in the hallway or gym, because there wasnt enough classrooms for the large sum of students and that they hadnt finished the new buildings in time. Both occurred for almost half of the year. Weve had teacher with student relationships that never gotten publicized because they want to protect the image of SLAM being a good school. During the 2015-2016 school year it was a female student with the gym coach, and now in the current 2017-2018 school year it was another case with a female student with a security guard. No one knows about it of course, except for a hand full of students, but rather not say anything due to fear. Both members were never shown to authority to prevent them from doing it again, they still have the ability to work at another school and repeat their actions. Ive seen roaches and mice in a school meant for kids. Some teachers get fired if they try to speak up about problems with the system. This school cares more about profit than their students. Please reconsider enrolling your kids in this school, itll be a liability, rather than an opportunity.

This school is awesome and totally worth it it helps u improve your brain skills and helps you with active learning it would bring your child joy you should always look forward to coming

Good school very athletic school but the subs have to be a bit more nicer to the student try to achieve in their goals and teachers have to be a bit more nicer and fun, although the school is very net it’s faculty and staff are very kind, expected for subs

This School is Great ! Most teachers have Masters Degrees and really motivate the students. They take a sport approach where they are truly the childrens brain coaches...Looking foward to next year when my son will be able to partake in as many sports as he desires tuition-free.

This school is highly unorganized, my son is currently apart of the first graduating class and they do not have the senior events properly prepared for the class of 2015. They changed the dates and do not abide by the printed documents that state when events should be held. They are inconsiderate of the students and the family abroad who have to come from out of town to participate in these memorable events. This institution needs a complete REDO!!If you want to enroll your child into this school consider all the pros and cons stated by parents. Go to the school and talk to everyone. In addition, since this is a Sports themed school be prepared to fully sponsor your child in the event he or she would want to participate.

Is a really smart school and helps the students learn new things they didn’t know and it is a really beautiful school

Hands down this is a very good school to come to if you want to do sports and other electives, I use to go to this really bad school and this is a 10/10 improvement. This school gets so much hate for no reason, if you get in trouble for something you probably did something wrong. Teachers are super nice and always care about the students education. Administration is hands down the fastest and best administration there. In my old school it would take a whole month to get a parent teacher conference confirmed. We get so many resources to learn and to use. If you dont have a computer, stop at the computer lab and use the computers there to do your computer homework.

This place is disgusting and a prison. The staff are the most disrespectful pigs I’ve ever met. Not only to my children but to me as well. The assistant principals are careless they only want to do things that are better for them. Teachers are so inconsiderate. The athletic director is just incredibly disrespectful. Teachers don’t care about making the kids better to help them out.... for god’s sake if YOU choose to teach you better teach. Stop complaining and harrasing kids. They complain to much about their low salary. So they get on the kids cases to psss the class just so they can increase their salary. WORST SCHOOL EVER!!!!! I am currently in the school Im a student and I saw that so an year or two years ago I saw that people were giving bad reviews and sending hate to the school now I think that this school has improved a lot the FOOD Is the best food Ive ever had and Im not kidding Im for realz. They give nachos and hotdogs and pizza only on mondays the food is healthy because with every plate there comes a fruit they either put a bannana or an apple to be healthy and the staff is great the teachers are awesome totally has improved the teachers are so nice and they now Have New I-PADS to do the homework and ive heard that Pit bull the singer and many other ppl that are famous come and visit the kids Im deffintely excited for my first year of middle School ya wohoo go Slam Academy

This school is awsome, every pep-rally, every activities, every time someone special comes to meet us like magic Johnson is awsome, and the schools basketball games and soccer, tennis, track and field, baseball, dance, cheerleading is very competitive and unique. Which makes slam fun!!

I have 3 children in SLAM. So far so good, They like it, I like it. I live in Miami Beach and I rather drive to Miami to have my kids go to SLAM than have them in the schools in Miami Beach.

It smells like sweat all the time. I went to the bathroom and there was a puddle of pee right in front of the toilet instead of inside the bowl. I had to hold the bathroom stalls door shut for my friend because they were all broken. The stairs are rickety and feel like they are gonna fall off. And the children there are uncultured swines. AND HUGH JACKMAN WENT THERE INSTEAD OF MY SCHOOL AND I AM VERY ANGRY. WHY CANT I SEE HIM HUH?

This is by far the worst school ever the students caring back packs like of they where travelingfor 2 weeks they are super heavy !!!!!! And knowing kids have to go up the stairs to 8 floor its ridiculous!!! Teachers are careless and never respond to emails!!! Front desk are always a whole bunch of kids and the 2 ladies front desk there are rude dont like at all dont have a choose if not i would have change my kid!!!!!!

This school is horrible. My son has been going there for 2 years going on his third. And it is the worst experience I have ever had. First of all, to get a hold of this school you need to go in person because calling them is impossible. they dont even pick up their phone calls or respond back to their parents. Also the teachers are non chalant... I heard so many complaints from different parents regarding their children with horrendous experiences.....Also, I had several unpleasant calls from teachers over stupidity that could be solved with the parents. Mind you, my kid is a fantastic student and a non trouble maker. If you are looking for a good high school.. I dont recommend Slam High School... I have no choice to keep my children there due to my circumstances. But if I had a choice or options, I would of taken them out of there a long time ago. Their staff are rude, non chalant and if they dont even have noone picking up their calls, imagine how the set up really is... just saying. Dont believe the hype .. ... this is definitely a non 4 star education.

Im a student at this school and it sucks. Some teachers are nice but the lunch is like prison food. That stuff is half frozen when served.My parents and I hate it because it is located in a very negative area. Its not the charter school I thought it was. There are even students in this school who GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND EVEN JAILLL. If you want your childs middle and high school life to be ruined by seniors that steal your stuff and throw it in the trash and always being humilaited by horrible teachers and coachs, this is the school to be in.

I went there on 10/5/2015 at 12:30 to see if I can put my son in this school and I was sitting there for 3 hours the assistants principal and he was in a meeting then he went to lunch and then a fire drill and into of that they told me I had to leave my number because he couldnt see me after 3 hours I know pitbull build the school I dont care all I want is for my son to get a good education and play sports
