Probably had the most powerful affect on me than anything else in the last 40 years. Indeed a true Transformation like no other. Its a joy and a blessing, that l even get to go back and visit with ex instructors. This place brings me alive.

I took automotive classes here. The training shops are well equipped, the instructors are experienced, and all staffs are helpful.

Eastfield is undergoing a huge reorganization under the Dallas college one college merger. Many services have slipped, there can be long eaits for answers as staff learn who does what now but, and a very nig but, the remaining staff still have the heart that makes Eastfield the family feel spot where the people support you and help you turn hope into I did it!

This is the Best and Greatest College that Ive ever attended in the Spring Semester 2020

Went for 1st Covid shot. The wait wasnt bad but the shot I didnt like. Good set up they have. I think the ppl giving shots ought to get a bonus. They r working quick and hard. All was real nice.

These people cant even get me registered for school correctly and my financial aid done after 3 months of messing up and making mistakes they still dont know what theyre doing costing me valuable time. I decided better not even go to school since it would be a waste of time like they wasted 3 months of my time. These people dont care about anything but their little paycheck. They wouldnt be in business would it not be for tax dollars supporting them. Thanks for screwing me once again Dallas County. I hope you are all FIRED!!!

The purpose of my visit was to cast my early vote for the 2020 election. I was ecstatic with the professionalism and the politeness of the staff/poll workers! Also, I was even more excited about how quickly I was able to cast my ballot due to minimal lines!

COVID vaccine center was a great experience. Very well organized.

Early voting was a breeze. The setup was well structured, the line moved quickly, and we were out in 30 minutes. The volunteers were very respectful of my SDiT and made no moves to pet or speak to him. It was wonderful.

Voted early here. No line, very clean, plenty of sanitizer stations, everyone wearing masks, and plenty of parking. Very pleasant experience. Took 5 minutes.Drive-thru COVID-19 testing was also quick and easy, although tests arent expected back until 3-5 days later.One-stop shop for all things 2020, and was clean and easy. Would recommend, but hopefully wont have to in the future.

Went for my 1st covid vaccine. Took longer than expected.

I don’t see why there are so many low ratings. I started in 2017 and I will be graduating in May. This is the best experience I’ve had. There are a lot of good professors here, and they don’t want you to fail. They offer you extra credit. I highly recommend!

In my 50s. Going to college for first time and everyone helpful with choosing classes, maneuvering their website and all around guidance. Advice Counselors could be more on top of their game with students who arent sure what the want, AND ADVISE STUDENTS THAT THERE IS A TESTING DEPARTMENT UPSTAIRS FROM The Hub TO HELP YOU!!!

Like I said below, more concerned with their support of cultural causes than customer service. I emailed, zero response.This place has always been more concerned about the cultural causes they stand for more than the customers they have. Consequently its poor customer service and educational standards will always keep this place from becoming a valuable and viable community college.

Ive attend a few higher education schools, military and civilian; Eastfield College changed my life. Its business program helped give me the tools to become a successful business owner and my arts class have lead to years of great hobbies. I cant recommend this school enough. Dedicated teachers and very affordable.

It’s too bad google does not allow to rank 0 stars otherwise this school would get that rank. I’ve never had an issue with any Dallas county school except for this one. It’s rhetorical to advise a student to run to the dean with professor issues if all we’re going to get told is, “I cannot interfere between the professor and the student. Email your professor again” if the only the professor was to respond to her emails then I obviously would not be reaching out to incompetent staff for help. Horrible customer service skills. They could careless about their students.

Great school so far. Very warm welcome was given to new students taking classes in the fall. They offer many student services and an amazing library. Lots of parking, subway restaurant for a quick bite, and lots of places to chill around the campus to study or hang with friends. Eastfield is the closest thing you can get to a full college experience within the community college districts in my opinion. Ive been to El Centro before and I definitely prefer this campus more. Much safer, lots of activities happening, and lots of school spirit. Financial aid is the only problem, its always full especially during the beginning of a new semester because students are still trying to sort out their classes. They told me about a 2 to 3 hour wait one day so I advise going early in the morning or maybe setting an appointment. I also called one time and left my number so they can call back but no one answered. Just be smart when going to financial aid okurr. Met some great teachers here though!

I went in to inquire on a few things and they were very helpful. The first lady I spoke couldnt answer much, but she did take me to someone who had more information.Not only did they answer all my questions, they also showed me other colleges that were better for what I was looking for.

This College is great Community college to go at. I am currently an Alumni at this College and it was pretty good getting my certificate that I completed in just 2 semesters (Fall 2016 and Spring 2017). Also I would like to say Thank Yall so much Eastfield College and looking forward with my future goals! Go Harvesters!!

Professors at this college are so helpful and knowledgeable but Staff that work in the office areas are another story at this college. My last experience with staff was the worst. I needed to have my transcripts transferred over to my home college in Denton and wanted to know the process for that but the people here are so rude and service was so slow. Everyone had an attitude and nobody would tell me where I need to go to get my transcripts sent to me. It was like a wild goose chase and I didn’t even know half the time where I was supposed to be (* because every staff member was telling me to register and find out but I’m already registered!). One lady in particular I didn’t get her name. * mind you she wasn’t even wearing a badge*. Talked down to me in the most absurd way instead of actually doing her job. She was chatting up one of the students nothing in particular just about regular outside of work stuff. It really bugged me because a lot of people had things to do and places to be and it would make the process go a lot faster if you were actually doing what you were supposed to be doing (lady). So I took it upon myself to just go ahead and bypass her they were at a table in front of the hallway that leads back to student counseling and setting up appointments didn’t really know why the tables there but I knew I wasn’t getting any help from them so I decided to just go around them. Immediately as soon as I did that the lady stopped talking to her friend and snapped at me like I was a dog or something lower than her she told me “ Hey if you want to get somewhere you need to hold your butt up and wait in line!” I was so taken back by her tone and demeanor I completely checked out at that point and proceeded to turn around and head for the door. That day I didn’t get anything done I really wish I could’ve done something more I wanted to yell in her face and asked to speak to her supervisor. But I feel like it wouldn’t even be worth it if somebody can hire staff so lazy and rude it only tells me what kind of person they are honestly Eastfield need a new management otherwise nobody’s going to take you guys seriously.

I had the worst experience as a prospective student. The staff in the testing area were not helpful, spoke to me like I was an idiot, and brushed me off. I was so embarrassed I never went back. I enrolled in another school and will be going online. I wish I had a better experience because I really like the campus and I have heard excellent things about the teaching staff.

Dont waste your time. I did everything they told me to do several weeks before registration was open for classes. Even went up to the campus multiple times to make sure all was good. When registration opened, it said I have to have taken the TSI (college readiness test) before I can register, I HAVE A BECHELORS DEGREE AND SOME MASTER LEVEL CLASSES already under my belt! Why do I need to take this test??? Yes! You have ALL my transcripts and my college is accredited. I just dont understand why yall wasted my time. This probably has me set back another freaking semester. Just wanted to take my basic psychology classes here instead of paying tons for them at Texas A&M (where they accepted my accredited bachelors degree). Incompetence.

Where my dreams started and rocketed beyond the universe.

A great place to take a walk, play basketball, soccer and other sports. It also has tennis cages where one can practice hitting tennis balls.

I have been asking for my transcript from eastfield for months now and all I have gotten back is attitude and people not knowing what to do. My credits are not being transferred over and it is now holding me back from graduating at my current school and it is completely unacceptable. I have just contacted FERPA and they say I now have the right to sue which I will be doing very shortly. Go somewhere else where the staff are more professional with your records.

Good service

The professors really want you to learn and are available to help. This is overshadowed by the fact that admissions sometimes loses paperwork and isn’t transparent with all the documents you need. I’ve had to come various times to turn in paperwork I previously HANDED to them. Not to mention the staff in the testing center treats you as if you’re incompetent.

This place is horrible and should be shut down. My daughter has been attending this school as of Spring 2019. They are trying to charge her 761 for a class because the teacher said she was not attending, but she has a final grade of an A. This is BS and dang near all of the staff act incompetent from the teachers to the administrative staff. BS, if you spend your money spend it wisely and dont waste your time with EF.

They never return/answer calls. It would be easier for you to just show up at Eastfield and wait to be seen. I have been trying to call to ask questions about registration for weeks and the welcome center does not answer. It would be better if you actually interacted with a real person instead of a automated system.

Got a free Covid test

I’ve been attending for nearly 3 semesters now and everytime I’ve ask any staff memeber for any kind of help I just about leave in tears I’ve been waiting months to get my Financial Aide situated and when I think I’ve finally got to the last step I of course have to wait again for some unknown amount of time for my loan adjustment to be fixed I’ve already signed up for classes and only have until 8/1 to make sure they’re paid for if not I’ll be dropped and have to hope I’ll be able to get back into the classes I need. And lastly the man in the financial aide office as a secretary or whatever he is has no business being there as he clearly has no clue of what’s going on half of the time and just shows you the same sticky note with some kind of illustration drawn on it and it’s apparently supposed to be the reason everything takes so long, and the last time I went for help to register for classes the adviser literally left for lunch without warning and left me on the computer to figure it out myself I only knew she left after I got up to look for help.

I never thought I would be writing a review about this place but today I have been driven too. I graduated from this dump in May 2016 and today I received an email from them saying that I owed them money. I know this is incorrect since as I said earlier Im a graduate and when you owe money for classes or havent paid while on a payment plan you are either automatically dropped by the system for non-payment or you get a quick email stating that youve missed a payment. So, I check my econnect account and come to find that they are claiming that I owe almost $3,000 for Fall 2015, if I owed that money then I wouldnt have been allowed to register for Fall 2016 or Spring 2016 or Summer 2016! Im honestly furious, I never really liked this place when I was a student because frankly I consider their advisors to be terrible but now I absolutely despise this place. I DONT OWE THEM MONEY! Frankly, I would advise anyone considering going here to look elsewhere. Id even suggest vocational school or the art institute versus going here. BE WARNED! DO NOT GO HERE! Their staff is rude and unprofessional, if you want to go to Community College then go out of district. Yes, itll cost more but Im sure youll have a better experience both personally and educationally. I wish I could give them ZERO stars!

Called admissions office at 12 pm to see if they had sent my transcript to the college I’m applying for. I was told there was a restriction on my transcript and they would transfer me to the lady over the transcripts. This lady was very rude and NO HELP at all. She told me she didn’t know what the restriction was and gave me the (wrong) number for the business office. Finally got on the phone with the business services and was transferred back to the transcript lady. Transcript lady then transferred me to greenlight hotline, who had no idea what my issue was and was telling me how to request a transcript (which I couldn’t even due because of the restriction.) The man then transferred me to admissions office and NO ONE ANSWERED. This took almost 4 hours to get resolved and an admissions office guy finally called me and was super helpful. Wish I could’ve talked to him 4 hours ago.

I started my second year at EFC this year. I can say with all honesty that I love this school! I love the professors and faculty, my fellow students are all great too. Easy to talk to people here. If you ever need help in a subject you can just visit the Prof. during office hrs and theyll help you. The librarians are great too! The Business Office ladies are amazing, I had a problem with my tuition money and they were happy to help. STEM division is great also. Ms. Phyllis is so kind and helpful, and the STEM Academic Dean is friendly. Oh, and cant forget the janitorial team, they are the best!!! So kind, never grumpy, and always have the place clean. >>Im sure they appreciate a hello or thank you from time to time.

Admissions is pretty clueless about everything. Financial aid guy belongs in a circus, he is about the weirdest creature I have ever met. Receptionist for the advisors is a very mean know-it-all that tries to pretend shes an advisor.

Ive been utilizing this school for over a decade for different reasons. Its cheap and they have quality professors. Id definitely recommend this place!

You wouldn’t believe half of the stuff I could tell you about Eastfield. Eastfield’s The Pit (now called the Hive, for whatever reason) has some really odd concerts and parties. They once brought in an indoor bounce house. The celebrations almost always disturb classes. I love going there, and it is sad that I will graduate in just under a year. My favorite teacher is Robert Felder, who calls me Two-Can Willy. Sadly my Scuba class got canned, after I was really looking forward to it.

I was going to let my daughter come here but after reading the reviews I dont think so. Their response is email social something. Why cant they speak to smeone face to face. Ill pass on these problems. This isnt a good look eastfield.

When I first visited EFC, attending the Law Enforcement Interchange Program in 2014, had one of the Best experiencies of my life. Thanks to Chief Horak and His Staff, everything went very well and entered history!

This college is nice, but just doesnt have college/university feel. I suggest going to Richland if you can, if major classes permit.One very negative thing about this school are the police. I think they are harassing the students in the parking lot more than they are there to do their job. I see them pull them over almost constantly. Personally, I havent been pulled over but I dont stand for the feel the police give of as if swimming in a pool of sharks only there to enforce traffic tickets more than they are there for actual security. Shame.

The admissions office is horrible and lazy! The counselors will misguide you, so make your own decisions about your degree plan.

Academic Advisors are a joke. I waited for 2+ hours just to be told I couldnt switch because the class was full. I let them know on arrival that my econnect was acting funny and wouldnt let me add the class I wanted and drop the class I didnt need due to work reasons. Whos going to reimburse me for 5 weeks of no work? Not Eastfield. If you value your time go to richland where they have a lot of academic advisors at all times

I work late and just wanted more information about this college before I actually take some time off work and go out there but they dont answer their phones, at all. If you press the option to speak with someone it still does not go through, all you get is an automated recording that transfers you to another automated recording every time. It is very frustrating.!

It IS small but it LOOKS big, gigantic, humungus. Cool clases good cafetirias aswem rooms and clubs and I went there in a field trip today 2/3/2017 (january friday)im now in 4th grade
