We dance academy is the most professional place that I’ve danced at. The teachers are incredible and really strive to help their students become the best they can be. From the quality instruction to incredible performance opportunities, this academy is perfect for dancers of all ages. The environment is very welcoming and I couldn’t be more proud to say that I am a part of such a wonderful academy.

My daughter is thriving at We Dance Academies. Classic Vaganova ballet training, competitive ballroom technique, numerous traditional ballets like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, and community service events make for a well rounded dancer.

Attending WDA (previously MCDC) was one of the best experiences I have had. Mr. Artem and Mrs. Katia truly care about each student and their progress. Their passion and dedication to helping young dancers become the best they can be shines through their instruction constantly. Their studio and the environment they create in all classes has made WDA a second home for me and so many other young dancers. WDA truly is the best place for young dancers to grow, in so many ways other than technique. Mr. Artem and Mrs. Katia teach their students discipline, and commitment that shape each child into a hardworking, determined individual both inside and outside of their studio. They are totally unprepared. When you tell a six year olds parent to arrive there at 5 and you dont even have the first dress rehearsal costume there and then back track and say no we said 5:30. Wrong way to try and fix your mistake.

I am so impressed with the level of education and training given to our children. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to be trained by the best. Owners are also the artistic directors of Melbourne City Ballet Theatre and our children are given opportunities to dance in world class ballet productions alongside international stars at the King Center for the Performing Arts. Studio staff is extremely friendly, family oriented. I feel my children are not only benefiting from superior dance instruction, but they are learning the important traits of self discipline, motivation and determination, which will help them succeed later in their chosen life path. Melbourne City Dance is a beautiful studio with great ballet and ballroom. Mr. Artem is an amazing ballet teacher. He is able to bring the best out of every dancer and knows how to help them grow both artistically and technically. His attention to detail and love of teaching really set him apart from any other teacher I have ever had. He is patient and works with us to get every little detail just right. Melbourne city dance is like a second home to the students there, and is a great option for both serious and recreational dancers.

We came to MCDC nearly 1.5 years ago and intended to only stay for a few months for ballet. 1.5 years later we are still here and I am beyond pleased at the progress I have seen in my daughters. Melbourne City Dance Center is hands down the absolute best dance studio with the most amazing world renowned instructors you could find anywhere. Our son and daughter started taking classes at MCDC when they first opened 2 years ago and from the very beginning my husband and I were completely impressed with the superior level of instruction they were receiving. Artem is the most talented ballet master there is, having dedicated his life to ballet, graduating from the finest ballet school in the world, Vaganova Academy, and working as a Principal dancer at the San Francisco Ballet, First Soloist of Mariinsky & Bolshoi Theatre, just to name a few. That is who you have pouring into your children day in and day out with the utmost dedication and professionalism! I admire Artem very much for standing his ground, being strong and being fair. He pushes his students because he believes in them and wants them to do their best. Katia is a 3 time world ballroom champion and she takes her students under her wing and invests all of her talents into teaching them the most high quality dance instruction you can find anywhere. My children have been blessed to have Katia as their ballroom dance teacher for these past 2 years and we’re just named silver medal winners at the United States Danceport Championships in the Open to the World International Latin Championships!!!! That is an amazing accomplishment in just 2 short years. She was there with them from the very beginning taking their very first dance steps and now have a very incredibly bright dance future. The combined ballet and ballroom training makes an incredible dancer that is really hard to beat! On a personal note, I would also like to say that Artem and Katia have always been so supportive and very involved with our children. Katia comes with us to EVERY competition and is there with my kids coaching them, encouraging them, and just being such a dedicated loved filled teacher! This last comp Artem was also able to attend and he cheered louder than us parents for his students! We have true gems in our dance community, support them, and come check them out for yourself and give your kids the opportunity of a lifetime.

Artem Yachmennikoff is the most attentive, detailed, patient instructor Ive ever had the privilege to learn from. He teaches our adult class with as much dedication as he gives to the younger students, encouraging each of us to continue to develop, regardless of our age. He sees our individual potential, and helps us achieve what he knows we are each capable of. We are all so thankful for him as our ballet master, and so thankful that he and Katia, chose Melbourne!

This studio is a blessing to our town. The studio itself is beautiful and very clean. Beautiful windows with natural lighting. The instructors, Mr. Artem and Mrs. Katia, are gifted in their crafts. Mr. Artem is the ballet academy instructor, and he provides the best teaching in the county. His background in dance is helpful for simulating a company. Mrs. Katia is great with little ones and is the best in ballroom around. The studio provides many styles and has great diversity to be a well rounded dancer.

A beautiful studio owned by two of the very best instructors around. Artem and Katia have incredible training, professional experience, passion, and dedication. If you are looking for the best teachers, a beautiful environment to learn in, opportunities to perform and compete, and a place to make new friends you will cherish for a lifetime, MCDC is the place for you.
