I cannot recommend Mr. Bennett and his team more. My daughter can be hard to focus, but here they keep her motivated and engaged. Shes learning to police her own actions and take responsibility for her own practice. This place has been a fantastic for her attention and sense of self-worth.

My two kids and I take class together and also in our separate group classes. We love it! Thank you Mr. Bennett for fostering courage and respect as well as teaching great life skills. My kids walk taller now and have greater confidence to go along with their compassionate hearts.

I have taken Tae Kwon Do from Mr. Bennett for several years now and I can honestly say hes one of the best teachers Ive ever had, in any subject. I started at Hi Yah as an adult with my children. Im going on three years now, and its been great the entire time. The workouts are substantial yet enjoyable. Im more flexible and Im in better shape, than I have been in a long time. We learn all the fundamentals and discipline of martial arts as well as self defense in a way that well paced for your development.

I cannot recommend Mr. Bennett and his team more. Everyone does an amazing job keeping her focused, teaching her to control herself and actions all while making it fun and challenging. There have been noticable improvements in her discipline due to the class structure, and her personal accountability for moving forward in her training has improved her self control.

Hi Yah Taekwondo is the best martial arts school in Southern Oregon hands down. Mr Bennett and his teachers are fantastic. They make learning Taekwondo fun while instilling discipline and self worth into every lesson. Mr Bennett strives to make a meaningful connection with every student. They do not rush through the training like some other schools might. The teachers want to make sure the students have a good understanding of a movement or technique before moving on.Hi Yah has more than once won awards for Most Courteous School at tournaments. The students who choose to compete always bring their best attitudes and behavior to tournaments and community events.

Ive been training for nearly 12 years at this school. It truly is more than martial arts, its a family, a community, and a lifestyle. So many students learn great life skills from respect, self control and confidence. Hi Yah is truly amazing.

My son started when he was 6 and I love that parents get a month free trail. Mr. Bennett makes learning fun while also keeping the kids accountable. His attention to detail in how he is teaching the kids ensures they are getting quality training. Mr. Bennett was also entered in the Martail Arts Hall of Fame recently which makes me feel super proud to have him as my sons teacher. His skills are spot on and so is his sense of humor.

We have been involved in Mr Bennett’s tkd classes with our grandsons for over 7 years now. Hi Yah is a wonderful place for kids to be introduced to martial arts! Mr. Bennet flawlessly mixes fun and discipline! Kids not only stay interested, but are motivated to work to be their best selves! The facility is clean and well kept, and the fee is a reasonable, no contract deal. My daughter had a fabulous experience here, and when the sport season is over we will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend Mr Bennet and his studio!

Ive been learning here for nearly ten years now and Hi Yah! has lived up to its motto Teaching More than Martial Arts. The school is like a second home and everyone is friendly and helpful. I love it here!

When my now 11 yr old son was around 6 we had a two week trial at a local karate place and I was very intimidated by how serious the environment was. That made me hesitant to check out other places. We discovered Hi Yah just over a year ago and instantly both my boys (10 and 5 at the time) loved it! Mr Bennett and the other instructors are great with the kids. Highly recommend this place!!

Head instructor does an amazing job with all students. Specifically works well with my aspergers daughter in teaching discipline and self contol. The two classes per week with one being semi private and the other a larger group setting is a well balanced mix of interaction for self defense and forms training.

I began classes here when i was 32y/o with no formal martial arts prior. Being in the Marines over a decade ago i started looking for an instructor who would show skill, dicipline, and structure in the lessons. Mr Bennet went well beyond my expectations. Learning TKD through Mr Bennet has been an inspiring experience to say the least. He is someone i look up to greatly and i strive to perform my best for him as he does for me, and the rest of his students.If you are an adult interested in martial arts you cannot got wrong here, you get back what you put in and will learn a lot about yourself physically and mentaly.

We love Hi Yah Tae Kwon Do and all the instructors, everyone is always so supportive and encouraging, no one is ever made to feel like they arent good enough or cant get it because everyone takes time with each student to help them improve :-). Mr. Bennett is also always doing fun stuff for the kids especially during the summer!

Mr. Bennett lives up to his word as a fabulous instructor. Hes amazing, patient and very comical. My boys have learned so much about themselves in the time since starting. He not only teaches them Taekwondo but also how to self respect yourself and others, as well as behaving at home and at school. I wouldnt recommend any other instructor than him.

Hi Yah! Tae Kwon Do is a fantastic martial arts school run by a great instructor. Mr. Bennett has been a great role model and leader to me through my 10 years of martial arts training. He has a calm and excellent attitude when teaching. If you are looking for quality martial arts training, Hi Yah! Tae Kwon Do is the place to go.

My 9-year old son has been going to Hi-Yah! for about 2 years now. I must say, Mr. Bennett is an amazing instructor for the kids and hes developed a team of assistants who follow his lead. Hes very patient but very firm with his students. Its obvious that he loves teaching TKD and you can see his excitement when the kids do well. When they dont, well, hes not giving them a trophy just for showing up which I appreciate.I think if you have a child who is looking for a fun activity that will teach them teamwork, discipline, motivation, goal-building, and truly build their self-esteem, I highly recommend you check out Mr. Bennett and Hi-Yah! Tae Kwon Do.
