Being raised in the city of Macon Ive had honors of seeing the good, bad, and the ugly of Macon State College, now Middle Ga. State University is such a site to see as it blossoms into a Major University! This school will change the community and lives in this area for the better!

I love the school so far, but why does the financial aid office have to be so short & rude when I just have simple questions that I cant find online? Amazing University until you need to make phone calls.

Came to this school for my freshman year, this is the worst school ever I do not recommend it . Living in the resident hall at Lakeview pointe they want to give you fees for anything . Feel like my space was invaded several times . They are very rude and disrespectful towards students .

As a college student of 3 years, this is a recommended school to start with if you live in the Middle Georgia area. The staff is very friendly (most of them) and it came give off a friendly environment. Signing up for classes is straightforward while your class sign ups are flexible. My only complaint is the constantly rising prices for certain things but it can be resolved by other means.

The conference center is very modern, clean and a great place to attend a meeting or workshop. The food was good, parking was not an issue, and there were no technical problems in the room we were in. The staff was also very pleasant. This was my first visit to this college campus and I was quite impressed at how nice it is. I also like that they have a recycling program. I also liked the two paintings by Steve Penley in the building we were in.

The Cochran campus is the most nastiest and trashiest school I have ever been to. There is trash all over the parking lots and the cafe is not sanitary. Half the ladies in the cafe do not wear gloves and the people who work at Papa Johns are incredibly rude. The lady who works in the police department is the rudest lady I have ever met. The teachers however are really good people and care about teaching. This can be a really good campus if the people who work here care more about their jobs. I DO NOT recommend this school to anyone.

Transient students STAY AWAY! This school is unorganized with their admissions and financial aid. They will not take the necessary steps and leave you scrambling at your parents school for financial aid. While the teaching staff is great, the overall running of the school sucks! I advise going to GMC or another college that has its stuff together. Would rate lower if there was an option!

Student Life Center is nice. We there for a job fair and they even provided food. Not many places provide breakfast and lunch for job fair employers!

I can only speak for the Macon campus, the professors are great. Its a very inexpensive school. The financial aid office can be a bit disorganized and unhelpful. If you must deal with them do it in person and NOT over the phone.

On the Cochran campus almost all of the administrators are some of the most impolite people I have ever dealt with. I have had so many troubles with this school; when you have a problem and you call, they either are so unbelievably rude to you or just put your phone call straight to voice mail so they dont have to deal with you. I wish I wouldve known better than to go here or at least had a little sense to go to the Macon campus. The only thing good about this school is the many wonderful teachers I have come across.

Staff is not very helpful and things change so much they dont know whats going on or what information to tell you. I dont even understand why we have to see advisors, they are a waste of time and not helpful AT ALL. I was advised to take a class that I made an A in, call that some wonderful advising. You basically have to figure things out on your on. Its about how many dollars and students they can get, the staff does not care about you. If this is your only option be on top of EVERYTHING, or go somewhere else. I wish I would have.

I attended this campus in 1985 and 1986 when my name was Linda J. Foley, and I received my first degree an Associates in Business Administration when the campus was Macon Junior College. I was the President of the Student Government Association, and I along with other worked hard to promote the idea that Bibb County Georgia needed a four year affordable public college. So now, it is a University! I hope this new group of students understands the cost their education that taxpayers support, and work hard to keep the standards high like they should be. The professors that I had were top notch, most had docorates. When one graduated with an associates degree in the mid eightees, he or she was ready to attend and college or university in the United States, in my opinion.

If you have an issue or need help, dont expect to resolve the issue or receive help in a timely manner. Just like one of the previous reviews-stay away if you are a transient student. The staff are not knowledgable about the policies and procedures which results in missed deadlines and students being putting into financial crisises. Even though the majority of the teachers here are great, I am extremely disappointed with this school.
