Nice facilities. Front doorman could be a little more friendly. Had to walk thru the building to get to the soccer field in the back.

I love this place. It is bright, clean, airy, and has wonderful classes and instructors. Everything you want under one roof and with a friendly and courteous staff. Whats not to love?

Sadly, this organization outlines extensive guidelines on how players and parents need to act but when their organization and coaches act disrespectful they hide behind a contract and steal $3325 of pre registration fees for a season that hasnt started and tell you that what you experienced never happened. I have never been involved in an organization that has absolutely no thought about doing the right thing and conducting themselves with integrity. Run from this program.

If you like low key workouts this is the place. Not too big. Not too many muscle men. The lockers are so clean and easy to use. Very nice showers and the saunas are the best.

Lower end weights machines than I had hoped, and there is much less equipment than I expected. On the up side, its all new or will maintained. Just packing in variety and quality for that trade of. That makes it a toss up.Has town service, and clean locker rooms, as well as steam room and sauna. Sadly, there is no hot tub in the locker room.(So there is no gym in the area that has a safe hot tub for women (duo gender hot tubs are ALWAYS occupied by gross old men who stare, and make women feel very uncomfortable.)).Has outdoor pool (82° year round), and outdoor soccer field (which can also be used for running laps - 6x around the goal posts =1 mile).Price wise, and for the equipment, 24 Hour Fitness wins.Cleanliness, JCC wins. Also if you want tennis, soccer, and social programs, or need the gym too wash your shower town, JCC wins.If you dont need those services, well, youll pay for them anyway.Locating, if youre near downtown Los Gatos, or in the Santa Cruz Mountains, JCC is closer. For 24 Hour Fitness,, Id recommend the club on Almaden Rd in San Jose over the Hillsdale Ave in Los Gatos location.Notice that the Los Gatos club downtown, next to the high school does NOT factor in. Its pricing is comparable to JcC, but is facilities are awful. Their equipment is essentially the same line as JCC, but very old. So is very maintained, not high end. Locker rooms have had three same broken lockers and tagged out carpet for AT LEAST a decade. Their staff is true, and think too highly of themselves. Their attitude is that they are Los Gatos, so you should pay for the snobbish locating. Yet is one of the worst clubs Ive ever been to. Sure is location is perfect of you live down town, or in the Santa Cruz Mountains. But thats it. Oh, it does have a hint tub in the womens locker room. Its depressing, but it has one. Thats really the only reason to join.Youll pay ridiculous fees for the privilege of their name. Sure, they FINALLY are renovating, or say they will. But they upped their price, for you to use it based on promises. They*should* renovate, THEN raise the fees. Instead theyre ripping people off, and have created a bad name for themselves aground town. Then probably eventually recover, super because of location. But honestly with JCC fairly clue, there is no reasonable excuse or reason to support the Los Gatos downtown club owners. If you can afford that price range, definitely choose JCC over downtown LG Club. JCC much friendlier, and offers more.If both are out of your price range, or you need more equipment variety/quality, choose 24 Hour Fitness. Though depending on which location you choose, it may have more traffic, and you might need to bring your own towel. Also, 24 Hour Fitness membership can give you access to ALL locations world wide. And dozens just here in the bay area. Some are as bad as the Los Gatos Fitness Club. But some are even nice than JCC.Unfortunately, jCC does not offer a limited membership, giving access to just the workout rooms and locker rooms. (with extras such as tennis, pool, activities), at a lower price. But I guess that keeps the small gym less crowded, and easier to maintain. Also, maybe filters or less desirable members. Its would be too difficult, and less friendly to have to monitor people once theyve gained access anyway.Overall, I recommend JCC ! 😃

I have been an APJCC member for several years. I enjoy the programming and special events, and am a big fan of the Wellness Center. The Center has all the equipment and classes I want. The place is not crowded, and I am able to get on the equipment I want with no issues. The Center is clean and well maintained. I give high marks to the trainers, massage staff, and the recent locker room/shower upgrade.

SVJCC is great. State-of-the-art fitness center, sauna, steam. Great trainers. Friendly staff. Outdoor pool is great for laps because the water is pretty warm (83 degrees). Only issue is that sometimes the parking lot is crowded.

Clean, friendly and plenty of equipment. But I have to say my expectations were maybe too high. The fees are higher than any gym Ive ever belonged to but the quality of the instructors and class offerings werent quite what Ive experienced at the many other gyms Ive belonged to that were less expensive. Specifically, one of the Monday evening instructors seems to dialing it in and the workout doesnt vary from week to week at all. Im Jewish and the idea of being part of a JCC was appealing, but I have to say that I think this JCC maybe needs to decide of it wants to be an all out JCC or a commercial gym. If the fees were less, my expectations would have been tempered and Id give a much higher rating. Hope this wasnt too harsh...

There are many things to love about the JCC other than the outstanding fitness facilities, including after school classes for kids, adult classes and a truly outstanding preschool.Because I have two children in elementary school, my favorite things are the family-friendly events: The Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival, Float Nights during the summer, Jewbilee, holiday celebrations, etc.The Summer Camp program is also excellent. My children have been attending for the last 5 years and though we sometime try other camps, this is by far their favorite and the one they want to spend most of their summer at.

We moved to Los Gatos from Montreal, Canada in 2006 and the SVJCC made our transition a pleasure. The facilities are excellent, the environment is welcoming and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Two of our children have attended the excellent preschool and we have another child starting in 2014.It really has become our home away from home! I highly recommend becoming a member of this amazing community center.

Pilates is the only good thing. For the rest, the employees are not really kind and some of them dont even acknowledge patrons, they just scan your member card and keep chatting among themselves.Tennis is the worst ever. The director needs to learn some tennis etiquette. My partner and I just cancelled our membership.

I have been a member of the APJCC for many years, and it is our second home. The preschool is incredible and the summer camp is my kids favorite place to be every summer. Both are excellent because of the wonderful, caring staff and fantastic programming.I work out at the gym almost every day as well and the trainers/instructors are helpful and fun. The equipment is state of the art.In addition, the overall programming at the J is interesting, stimulating, and much of it is free or low cost for members. Some of my favorites: Jewbillee, the Jewish Music Festival, Readers Theater, South Bay Teen Idol, and this year, Hannukkah on Ice.I could go on and on!

I love the JCC and love the diverse atmosphere. I am worried that any feedback communicated to the JCC which is intended on helping them improve their offerings especially their summer camp is then redirected as criticism towards ones family. So, beware of providing your feedback or be ready to deal with the consequences such as them showing you the door out. I am hopeful that the JCC will adopt a more open stance so that families will feel welcome at the campus.

The JCC in Los Gatos is where you go to if you want to be demeaned and disrespected if you are a tennis player. While they have tennis facilities, it is deemed to be not worthy of the JCCs responsibilities of cleanliness, maintenance, or such.Example issues:- The courts are so dirty that even the public courts seem shiny and clean- Health hazards abound in the form of bird and rodent feces splattered all over the courts and benches- Leaves all over the courts in Fall which remain there as a hazard to playing, as the courts are never cleaned- When lights get fused it takes months (in plural) to fix, after multiple folks requesting multiple times each- Staff makes up stories to insinuate and bring down tennis players; staff is openly disrespectful to players, eg. Erin who takes it upon herself to humiliate tennis players- Broken nets take months of complaining to fix/replace. The last time the nets were replaced, they were left hanging lower than the requisite height and it took the staff many months (in plural) to fix the heights of the netsThe two biggest issues to highlight are: (a) it feels really icky and unhealthy to play at the courts because of the amount of bird and rodent poop on the courts and on the benches, (b) on every complaint through the last few years to the leadership there is an answer (a lie to ward us off) that the issue will be taken care of (for example, wash the court), but it never ever gets done.
