After moving to LA we looked around everywhere for a good preschool for our youngest son and we were so fortunate to find WHCA. The teachers are warm and nice to the children and parents . Owners pour their hearts into this preschool. They have healthy balance between learning through play, academics, languages, arts, and music. They have a strong reading program that prepares children for school. They have great outdoor environment.. Also I am impressed by their choice of healthy organic food. Our son has been attending the preschool for 2 years.

My daughter has been attending this school since she is 2 y. o. I see a Great progress in my child’s development. starting from being potty trained from the very begging to the reading and counting skills at the of 3,5 y. o. they put lots of attention on physical exercise. i am very happy with things like yoga, dance classes, zoology classes that don’t cost nothing extra, i am happy with menu. they have soups every day that my daughter loves. i really don’t have to give her nothing extra to eat.Art projects- every day, Spanish class once a week, kids performing for the holidays.i recommended to my neighbors. hopefully the school will have spots available. 👍🏻

My two children currently attend WHCA and love it! The teachers create a fun and engaging environment for the kids, actually pay attention to our children due to smaller class environment and give us daily updates through the AWESOME Brightwheel App. I measure the effectiveness of WHCA based on my childrens enthusiasm for learning and their warm and caring personalities. Ms. Marissa and Ms. Taisia are phenomenal. Even during the pandemic, they kept our kids happy, healthy and safe. Ms. Marissa even stepped up to provide fun activities for a range of ages during the slow open of COVID-19. Finally, the owners have always been accommodating to each family. They always answer our questions to the best of their knowledge and even give sound advice on teaching and managing child development based on their expertise in this field. After 5 years of being here, we just love the school and hope to see it grow further!

EXCELLENT Preschool! West Hollywood Childrens Academy has dedicated, loving teachers and very helpful director, Ms.Julia. As a former teacher, I remain impressed with the extensive, engaging curriculum that have helped my children learn to read, write/trace, count, add, and subtract. But more importantly, my children have learned how to make friends, how to express their feelings, how to respect and understand other childrens feelings, and how to work as part of a team. My son is now happily in Elementary School. West Hollywood Childrens Academy is a wonderful, caring preschool that will help your children grow.

My daughter is 2y 4mo and she has completely exploded in her development since starting at West Hollywood Childrens Academy. She is more independent, more aware, more observant, and much more verbal. She started counting. She learns sounds. She comes home singing songs and is always happy. The place is safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating. The staff is warm, intelligent, and committed. It feels like a family and we are so pleased.

The most amazing child care you can ask for! Both of my kids have gone through this school and actually even through both locations. Check out which one works for you best, theres one in West Hollywood and another one in North Hollywood, both of which again are great. As any parent knows, its quite difficult leaving your child with strangers essentially, turning around, and leaving for work and not worrying about. All administrators, teachers, nannies - everyone at this place have a special touch that just makes you feel comfortable knowing your child is in great hands. My kids blossomed under their care and I am very appreciative. If youre interested in academics, this is also a place to be. Great classes included, extracurricular activities available but most importantly teachers themselves. They have such a connection with kids that teaching them somehow appears to be so easy because kids come home everyday having learned something new. My 4 year old is a year ahead now of her friends by doing nothing extra, just attending this school.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My daughter has blossomed and grown socially and academically over the last few years. Every week, they have special instructors come teach various things...yoga, dance, music, and it seems everyone’s favorite is Friday Zoology day! The students get to learn about animals by touching and experiencing them at the school, and there is a different animal/critter brought each week. So cool. My daughter can count to 100 by 10s, 5s, and 2s, but “3s are still a little tricky”. She can read practically anything I put in front of her! Those kids are ALL very well prepared for the upcoming years!

My son has been attending this wonderful pre-school since the age of two, and I have been extremely happy with my choice It features friendly family-like atmosphere, small classes and personalized approach and strong educational program and fun extracurricular activities. My son has been reciting long poems, in both English and Russian, since he was three years old, and now, at four, he does simple arithmetic (counting and addition), knows alphabet and phonetic sounds associated with every letter, and is starting to read. The extracurricular activities include yoga, painting, and dancing. The school also pays a lot of attention to the free play time. There is a wonderful very well-equipped playground behind the school, where kids are welcome to play for a few hours a day. In addition, they provide three full meals and make sure that kids nap throughout the day. I really love this place. It has become like a family to us. And my son and I have made life-long friends with children and parents, respectively.

West Hollywood Childrens Academy was established in 1991, providing services for the community at the current location since 1998. It is sad to notice people writing ridiculous reviews to tarnish business reputation just because there was no availability to enroll...or someone applied and was not hired as a teacher. Also, West Hollywood is upscale and trendy city nowdays. There is no ex convict living in the nearby apartment building at this point as written in the fictional review of non-existing person. We checked with WeHo city officials and the landlords.

My son has just graduated from the West Hollywood Children’s Academy.I did a lot of interviews before I decided to enroll him in the WHCA. When I came to the WHCA I was really impressed by a very serious, enthusiastic approach - the school provides a multitude of various activities, focusing on various angles of a child’s brain development. Dance classes, music, zoo class (live animals visiting the school every Friday), learning various skills through games - you name it.My son has spent 3 consecutive years, attending the school and I have never heard him saying that he didn’t want to go there. Facilities, small classes and an interesting program were my “selling points” while enrolling him, but the most important thing for me was to see him having a desire to go back to WHCA every day. It was the biggest indicator that whatever WHCA owners have been doing - worked - my son felt safe and loved. This stems from the culture of the school, built by the owners and centered around kindness to both kids and parents and a desire to help children develop in the most positive environment. He is now 5 years old, he knows letters and numbers, he knows countries and planets, he has participated in several shows, staged at school. He has learned to be polite and be respectful of others. But - he also made close friends and it has become his second home. which is as important as academics and development (if not more sometimes).I highly recommend it to any parent, happy to provide more details if needed.

West Hollywood Childrens Academy (WHCA) is an amazing childcare facility. The love and care they show for the children are light years ahead of other programs. They accelerate the children academically to a level where the kids dont even realize how far advanced they are. My son was only able to spend one year with them. In that time he learned to read, write, solve math equations, recite numbers, colors and many other words in Spanish. Weekly yoga lessons, weekly animal class, gardening, botany, school theatrical plays and musicals,...the list goes on and on. When children leave for kindergarten they will be prepared and ready for the next stage.Thank you WHCA for such a great experience

This place is awful. Julia showed up 30 minutes late for our tour and then started talking down to her staff. She ignored med. I chose to leave early then i found out afterward from another Mom who was on the tour she said rude things after i left. Do not waste your time with this place
