Fernando is the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He works hard to make students feel comfortable and open to communicating in Spanish. UNAM is a great value and fun environment to learn Spanish. A textbook is also included in the course. Highly recommend.

I took a semester of classes two years ago at UNAM Los Angeles and totally enjoyed the experience. The class was small, it was very intimate and engaging and with only a couple of of us it was very interactive. I learned a lot and it provided the foundation for further on-line learning since. I was keen to continue but my work travel schedule has gotten a bit hectic since. I look forward to re-enrolling again in the future. The tutors Aida and Fernando were amazing, they had a lot of patience, and it was a pleasure and very rewarding to be in their class.

Decent Mexican food with a nice salsa bar. Consistent/solid food and service. Dependable if not extraordinary. You can customize any items on the menu, which is nice.

UNAM is the best for Spanish. Highly recommended. Fernando is an awesome teacher.

I recently started taking a course taught by the university and sincerely it has been an excellent experience, in addition to the services that they offer as language classes or some online degree.

The program that is advertised as preparation for teachers in Teaching Spanish for Foreigners, is much more complex and complicated to enter than it seems. Something that does not clarify on its UNAM LA page or UNAM Mexico.We think that there are more ways to raise funds than to deceive students who will not be accepted by the great demand to pursue the diploma in the distance mode, and the candidates who enter are those who obtain the highest scores, which does not means that those who do not enter have failed the exam. In the words of the Coordinator of DIPELE, América Delgado who wrote to me today. In addition to not answering to me why the vast majority (the vast majority) reside in Mexico and the majority are graduates of the UNAM.It seems to me that if they better explain the directives of UNAM to accept candidates, then it is the applicants choice to know what to spend their dollars on so that UNAM graduates can study.Fortunately this led me to find more serious foundations that offer preparation for ELE. Do not waste your money by further promoting the nepotism of UNAM. There are better options.
