This is our first year at One School of the Arts, and our boys are loving it there. Our kids get to take Chinese class, go to open mic and attend chapel weekly. As a parent, I really appreciate the heart of the teachers and staff. Even in our short time there so far, the concern and commitment the staff has for the scholars is evident. Coming from the public school system, I really appreciate the small class sizes, and love that they have PE every day (every day! remember those days?) I look forward to One School being part of my childrens academic and spiritual development for years to come.

I have read some of the other reviews about this school and Im not sure where these other people had their children going to school but it certainly was not here. My child was enrolled in a Seminole County Public School and was not doing well. She was in the first grade and the school was just interested in pushing the common core agenda and not on my child as an individual. Not all children learn the same way. To think that a first grader can do algebra or geometry to me is preposterous. They expected her to do word problems and that was just frustrating her. I decided to pull her out of the public school system and I enrolled her at One School of The Arts. This child is a completely different child. She has been there for one year now and has been on the honor roll all year. She has had straight As consistently all year long. She is always busy, they keep here constantly engaged. She takes Spanish, Chinese, Math, Science, History, PE, Dance, Music, Language Arts, Reading and this child has an A in every class. She reads fluently and has no problem getting up in the middle of the class to read when called upon to do so. She is excelling all of her subjects. Shes eager to learn, she loves the environment and she is allowed to be herself. She is encouraged to be a free thinker and she is celebrated as an individual. This school is the best thing that has happened to her and our family.

We just started at One School of the Arts and I have seen a marked change in my child. The environment is loving and the curriculum is challenging. All schools will have things that parents dont agree with but we need to be respectful of the policies as they are put in place for a reason. It is also important to vocalize concerns appropriately. I am surprised by the number of inappropriate and rude comments on this site. One School is a fun, happy place for kids. For the parent that complained about the uniform, your child is attending a private school and attending means buying the uniform that the school requires.

As I wanted my son to learn within a Christian environment, he attended pre-K here.Unfortunately, I have to say, this was the worst school my child has ever attended! Teachers, and office staff were extremely irresponsible with the true welfare of the children. It is very obvious that the school is very much about the $$money$$ they bring in.. very sad. Was more like a babysitting environment. Lacked focus in academics, creativity, character building, encouragement etc. My son refers to the school as boring. Was easy for the staff to be critical of the children, but very limited availability of these teachers for follow up. They were more engaged with their personal lives and used the school time to prepare for their own time vs. the children. Difficulty in consistency of staff with the development of the child. Cannot say enough about what a disappointment this school is, especially for the money the parents pay. F- FAIL!

Best school decision I have made for my kids! I love the support, the creative freedom, the genuine care and love from the teachers and staff. My kids are not bullied and receive encouragement from their teachers. They will be starting their 2nd year.

Im proud to say this was/is my HIGH SCHOOL! The memories we created I will carry with me for the rest of my life! The negative comments on here are ridiculous and in my opinion, petty.Complaining about uniforms? Really!? Wow! If that is the only thing someone can complain about then thats great! As for the commission, please! THINK! That little percentage goes back to The scholars! If you miss a tuition payment, the administration would NEVER EVER kick you out! THINK!As far as the academics! Those were completely in MY control! Because I was the one that was responsible for being prepared for class! If I failed that was on ME!My teachers were great and they made SURE that I stayed on task!Performing Arts were the best! I attended an outstanding school and I will defend it! I cannot wait to graduate from my Masters Degree so that I can go and give back to OSOTA exactly what it gave to me!Class of 2016Lion Pride!

Over the past two years of attending One School, my daughter has been thriving academically, artistically and spiritually. She has had an array of elementary school experiences including private schools in Lake Mary, Costa Rica, and most recently an arts oriented school in San Diego where she was happy, but an average student. So when we returned to Orlando, I was looking for a school that would challenge her academically without squelching her creativity as she progressed into middle school.I have found the leadership and teachers to be not only loving and energetic, but very dedicated and gifted in encouraging her to reach her highest potential. She has had to buckle down and work hard, but the results have been beyond expectation: Honor roll three quarters in a row, excellent training in the upright bass, learning photography and placing first in a state photo competition, dance and performance training, and realizing her dream of becoming an entrepreneur in the school’s annual “Shark Tank” competition just to name a few of the highlights. Not to mention that this is truly a Christ centered school. Probably the greatest benefit of One School has been that they are teaching her to understand God’s purpose for her life within the school environment. We are incredibly happy with how this school has encouraged and challenged our daughter to really tap into the gifts that God has given her.

Middle and high school s complete uniform must only be through Lands End or Dennis Uniforms, including sweaters and light jackets, and cannot be embroidered through an outside source.Scholars who are sent to school or choose not to follow dress code will be required to call home and change into appropriate attire. After an initial warning, dress code violations will result in administrative action. Please note that clothing must be clean, neat and in good repair. Fading, rips, and wear and tear should be not visible. All scholars are expected to arrive at school properly dressed and to remain so throughout the day. Here are the Top 5 Reasons We Celebrate Wearing Uniforms at One School:[ School Spirit ][ Sense of Belonging ][ Character Building ][ Bullying Deterrent ][ Relieves Peer Pressure ]

I have read all of the reviews on here. Im sadden by the negative comments. My daughter is a 7th grader at The One School (OSOTA) and my son graduated, first senior class in 2016.Our daughter who was diagnosed with dyslexia has had the one on one help that she has needed. She has made the honor roll 3 semesters in a row.The years our children have been at OSOTA have been memorable and wonderful. Our son is thriving in college and is well prepared to excel in EVERYTHING because of the educational opportunities that were offered to him at OSOTA. The staff is well prepared and I couldnt ask for anything more. From the administration to the aftercare volunteers, they have cared for my children, I did not have to take their word for it. Ive witnessed and experienced it first hand.
