An amazing place to work, but an even greater place to learn.

A great school district. Would recommend Longview ISD. The staff are great especially Mrs. McCray in Human Resources.

Some of the teachers & some other staff are great. Others are rude & snotty. They expect to tell you what you need at the last minute & if you cant afford it right then they talk down to you & tell you well you have to do it on their timing. I will not put the school before paying bills & feeding my children.

Theres always a current of tension in the district. Theres a distinct lack of trust between parents and the schools, between teachers and administrators. Part-time leadership in the central office delivers a confusing message for everyone involved in any aspect of LISD

As a father of a student who is about to graduate and attend an Ivy League university, I am VERY pleased with Longview ISD.

As a student who actually goes here, I just hate how some of the staff are. Some of them cant even do their job and often let us just take notes and not help us. I understand that teaching is hard and I am just a teenager but theres more. I once had a school counsler in elementary school who lied about me having ADHD in which I dont. A lot of parents are having problems with that counsler and the school isnt doing ANYTHING to fix the problem. Now despite all this, not all staff in the district are bad. Sure some may be strict and all but AT LEAST they know what they are doing. Some staff would actually care about your child and how they are doing and would want them to be succesful. If anyone, at all, who is in charge of the district reads this, please fix your system. Hire teachers who CAN teach. If youre getting a rating from a teenager who goes in your district, you know that you need to fix your mistake.

Was calling to ask a general question about how much longer will it be before the bus dropped my child off. Was out on hold for 19 mins, of course 1st day of school everything is behind, finally hung up. I used my work phone to call, only to get a msg that they were closed. Very pissed!! School has been out since 3:15p and its 5:27p still no child...I wish i could pick my child up from school but my work sched conflicts. Please find ppl that want to work! Longview is so janky!

Absolute worst communication skills possible. I wish I could give 0 stars. Wont return emails or phone calls. Lady who answers the phone is ALWAYS rude. Thanks LISD for appointing this unorganized and rude group of people to rep our schools.

Longview Independent School District needs to improve on the Special Education Department, because there are students who does get lift behind.

Disorganized, staff who doesnt show any interest in being there. Late bus stop offs. Zero security measures.

The rudest people ever bus drivers say one time and pick Kidss at another time bus drivers are super rude bus barn attendants are even worse nobody ever really answer the phone they really suck
