My son(8) has been taking piano lessons for almost 5 months now, he’s mastered at least 10 songs. While his teacher and day of the week changed due to things beyond control, the quality of the lessons hasn’t. I’ve seen busy and slow days and within that half hour we’re there, Maria and her front desk help are always kind and compassionate towards everyone. We have absolutely no regrets starting my son here and look forward to continuing our lessons.

I got back drumming about a year ago and needed some ‘bits and pieces’ Lockport Music Center was/is extremely helpful. They take their time with you and can order something if you need it.

Did an excellent job repairing my old guitar and the staff was extremely kind. Highly recommend to anyone who needs their instrument fixed! Thanks for everything.

Ralph J Fava will be missed. This was the only place in Lockport that actually cares for its customers. My brother and I were loved by Ralph. He even displayed my brothers guitar after his passing. He was a father to everyone who walked in! After school Id hurry down just to hear Ralph jam out. And man he could make any guitar and amp talk in such ways no one else could. After learning about Ralphs passing, it tore me apart. He will always be an inspiration to me and others that met him. If I visit Lockport, I will stop in. I hear great things about his daughter and am sure Ralph would be proud. Keep it up LMC!! Yall rock!

The owner was very rude. Shes taking the stuff the comes with the instruments out and charging extra. SHE IS ROBBING HER CUSTOMERS. Her father is rolls in his grave, Im sure.

My family has been studying 3 different instruments there. Everyone has been kind and accommodating. Excellent teachers for all instruments. Ive been to other music studios. None as good as here. Lockport Music Center comes highly recommended.

Outstanding!!! Although my son didn’t continue with piano lessons Maria was extremely gracious. Maria truly worked with me to give my son full opportunity to try and pursue piano. She allowed me to pay for just a few lessons at a time. The piano instructor was also excellent. Although a short experience it was an excellent experience.

My two sons, ages 14 and 11, have recently started taking lessons at the lockport music center, guitar and ukulele. The owner, Maria, is extremely kind, personable, helpful and just all around wonderful to work with.This shop was previously owned by Maria’s father who was a well respected and loved musician. He clearly instilled a love of music and a dedication to sharing the gift of music with anyone who has an interest in learning or playing.The boys teacher, Matt, is also wonderful! After the lessons the boys are excited to come home and practice throughout the week. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone interested in lessons!!

I can only comment on my experience with renting an instrument for one of my children. The store itself is beautiful, the people are friendly and they provide a wonderful service to the community... We paid over $30 a month for five years exactly. That’s over $1800. The instrument we rented, at most, should have cost about $800. This was not something that I oversaw as my wife usually takes care of these things. When I went in to exchange the instrument for a larger one as my child had gotten bigger I was told I had a credit of over $1100 . It ended up that I kept an $800 instrument as I now own it and had a credit balance. Not that I would ever use the credit balance as my kids are now done with instruments for their school careers but I should have been given a refund. Why didn’t the billing automatically stop after the instrument was paid for? On my paperwork the credit balance was just crossed off like it was an even trade. So I lost $1000. In my opinion. My fault for not keeping an eye things.

Just wanted to respond to the review below about not being open, we deeply apologize for missing you, the day you posted was the week the owner of LMC passed away of brain cancer so we had limited hours for a while due to that. Great place if they were ever open when they say they are going to be. 5 times!! In two weeks and I can’t pick up what I ordered from them. Higher rating if they start opening and staying open when they are suppose to be!
