My son has been enrolled for 3 years now. We love the program, the quality of the instructors, and the efficient management of the office. My son has progressed at a rate that far exceeded my expectations. He gets to play music he likes as well as learn about music theory. Everyone at Music House seems genuinely interested in my sons welfare and making sure he has a positive experience.

Our son started taking guitar lessons roughly two months before the start of the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. Music House made it possible for him to continue lessons via Zoom. Write-ups and videos to further explain the lessons were always shared to help the students grow and feel successful. Within a few months, Music House figured out how to offer in-person and Zoom lessons simultaneously, and they also have kept the students on a regular performance schedule, via livestream, throughout the pandemic. My son consistently comes out of lessons with a smile on his face, feeling successful and motivated to improve. Im thankful for Mr. G and the Music House staff - they have figured out how to successfully motivate and teach students during a most trying, confusing, and challenging year. Good job, Music House!

We have always been so impressed with Music House. Our child started in group piano for ‘introductory’ purposes & has since moved on to private lessons and really enjoys it and is progressing very well. We continue to be impressed with the organization and the quality of music education. Music house is very organized, all of the people are incredibly nice, and the instructors are amazing! We have been with Music House for a little over a year. Our son has made major improvements and is excited to be in his paino class every week. MH put me in band after a few months of individual lessons. We practice at Lenexa location every Tuesday. Great equipment and facilities. Very friendly/helpful staff. Wonderful environment to encourage and teach to us to make music with others. Id never played an instrument with anyone else until MH gave me the chance. Ive enjoyed, learned, and look forward to each and every practice - makes it the best day of the week! Weve performed at least 30 songs over several performances, all with rave reviews. :) Great experience if you have any interest in making music.

Music House is such a great place for children to learn how to play an instrument and play in a band. My daughter started when she was 8 years old. At 14 she continues to attend classes. In fact, she rarely misses one. Music House has a wonderful student skill progression. A new student learns in a group setting. As the student gets more proficient at their instrument they can progress through other group classes and finally can join one of many bands taught by one of Music Houses teachers.My daughter has loved each of her teachers over the years, enjoys playing in front of crowds during grand showcases, and competing in the battle of the band events.

Music House provides an amazing atmosphere for music education. The instructors make the journey of learning music exciting, celebrating the small and big wins along the way. The staff and instructors provide the encouragement and safe atmosphere to allow the student the confidence to perform with others and in front of others. Its an excellent place to learn.

We have taken multiple classes with different teachers and cannot say enough good things about Music House. They give great progress reports, work with students on practice and keeps them engaged and enthusiastic by teaching them songs they know and love. I love going to Music House. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Ive been going there for two years and Ive learned a lot from community classes, group lessons, band workshop, and private lessons. Unlike other music places, the teachers are personable and I feel comfortable to be myself around them.The teachers are also very supportive. When I had my first paid gig some of the staff came to watch and encourage me.I definitely recommend Music House to anyone interested in learning any instrument or genre of music.I feel like they have been a second home to me.

My family has been associated with the Music House for three years. Our entire time there has been exceptional, positive, rewarding, and fulfilling. My teenage daughter takes voice lessons and my 7 year old daughter has taken voice and is currently taking piano. They are active in both group and private lessons. They look forward to their lessons every week. The teachers and staff are talented, friendly, helpful, positive, relate well to my girls, and are excellent role models. The teachers are kind, supportive and instructive. Both of my girls have grown immensely in their skills and confidence while at the Music House. What a tremendous opportunity to repeatedly be given opportunities to get up on the stage and perform and entertain in front of a live audience. My 7 year old has watched her big sister perform for so long that she couldnt wait for her opportunity to get up on the Music House stage. She handled herself like a pro with great pride, confidence and satisfaction. My teenage daughter likes that the style of teaching and music is relevant and current. My daughter has been taking vocal lessons at Music House Lenexa location for the past 5 months. She has gained so much knowledge, skill and most importantly confidence through her work with Esther. She loves coming to the monthly clubs that are offered as well. Music House has provided many opportunities for her to perform and work on her stage presence in front of an audience. Both she and my son have started taking guitar lessons this summer and really enjoy the group classes with Brian. My son started music lessons at Music House a few years ago. He started without any drum set experience and now we are on drum set number 2 because he has outgrown his first one! He started with just a weekly lesson and now he participates in his weekly lesson and is involved in a rock band and the jazz ensemble. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. He has grown in leaps and bounds in his percussion skills due not only to the excellent instruction he has received there but also due to the large amounts of time and energy he has put in to practicing and getting ready for his classes and rehearsals because he is so inspired by his teachers. The community classes that are offered on weekends are an amazing bonus available to students and we take advantage of those offerings often. The reach of his Music House instruction has gone beyond their walls as well. My son is a much more successful band student at school and knows that he can always bring in a piece from school or for an audition and get the help he needs during his time there. If you are looking for quality music instruction delivered by dedicated and passionate instructors, then Music House is your place.

Music house is a great place to be to experience not only the way to play an instrument, but to develop the love of music, including performing. My son Matt has been involved with Music House the past six years. He began with electric guitar classes, and then moved into private lessons and rock bands, and loved performing. He then switched over to drums for two years with privates and bands. The encouragement he has received from the outstanding faculty at Music House has been priceless, and he has become a very accomplished musician! Thanks to Music House for all they have done! They really know how to do it right!

We feel very blessed to have found Music House. Our grandson Jason (9 years old) takes drum lessons from Pat, and he both loves the lessons and is learning so much. Jason has some special needs and Pat has designed his lessons specifically for him. I suppose there are a lot of talented folks who can teach music, but I think it is far more rare to find the teachers who truly care for the individuals they are teaching. We are appreciative and thankful, and highly recommend Music House.

My daughter has been attending Music House for private voice lessons for almost a year and a half. I am amazed by how much her voice has developed during this time. Just recently she has joined the Counter Point group and is really working on singing in the group dynamic; harmonizing and blending voices, this group is really amazing. Esther is a wonderful instructor and relates well with my daughter and the other students in the group. Weve attended the clubs, open houses and student showcases.My son attended an open house with us and we ended up signing him up for drum lessons. He has had an amazing time and Im really impressed by how much he has learned from his instructor Pat.The staff is always helpful and cordial and I enjoy staying for lessons because I usually get to hear a student group at practice. Im constantly amazed by the talent.

My son had plateaued in the band at his school. We started 30 minute lessons at Music House and he came alive and really started getting excited about music. He BEGGED to extend his lessons to an hour and he has been doing that for a year now. Besides the gifted and approachable teachers who really care about your childs progress, the music community there and the opportunity for varied performance venues are one of a kind. Music House has been a great experience for our family!

My kids have been going to Music House for lessons for six months and a year respectively and they love it. The teachers are great and we enjoy the extra programs like performances and clubs. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They even attended two camps this summer and loved those as well. We love music, we love Music House.

My son just recently started private clarinet lessons with Russell Thorpe at Music House in the past couple of weeks. I am very impressed so far.We were using another instructor at another studio and I was frustrated with the other instructor due to his lack of organization. Because of this, I began looking at Music House and its instructors for another option for us. On one of my childs last classes with his former instructor, he came out crying from class. Now, my child is NOT the perfect music student, especially when it comes to practicing, but I dont feel that it was quite necessary to upset him that much.Needless to say, we have just completed our 2nd lesson with Russell at Music House and my son has already felt the difference. As we were leaving our last class, my son says, they really care about you here. I asked him to explain and he tells me that Russell had asked him if hed had fun, my son answered yes and Russell said good, that practice was important and all, but that the most important thing was that he have fun! Wow!That is all I want for my kiddo, is to enjoy what hes doing. I am confident that we made the right choice in moving our child to Music House! My daughter has taken lessons and been involved in groups at both locations. To say its the highlight of her week is an understatement. The staff keeps you informed and is very easy to work with. My daughter Gracie is always very excited to go to her lessons. She has a lot of fun at Music House while learning to be passionate about music. Hana and Ester are great at giving positive reinforcement and building confidence in the students ability.

Music House has been amazing! My son started getting bored with guitar, but after an initial visit to the Lenexa location he was re-inspired. You walk in and it is VERY music lover friendly. A wonderful gathering space with a stage set up with all the equipment to put on a live show. There are group an private rooms all tailored around the instrument being taught. My son has done group and private with Brian Kephart (and my son loves his teaching ability, clear, concise and inspirational with his music knowledge and abilities). I cant tell you how much he has improved in just 4 short months of lessons. I think he knew just a small collection of songs and now he is learning a song every 2 weeks. He is on his 3rd year playing guitar and now cant get enough playing time in do learn all the songs on his list. He is playing songs he use to struggle with, but now has complete fluidity. His playing level has improved so much. He is also so confident in his skill level that he loves playing in front of anybody that will listen. It is cool to hear friends that he has inspired because they see what he has learned. We were so impressed that we just enrolled my daughter in group piano. If you love music, you need to go to Music House School of Music!

Music House has been a second home for my daughter. Hana Wishy Burrows, the director of the Lenexa location, has provided top of the line vocal instruction and more importantly, fostered my daughters love for music and performance in a way that has greatly improved her self-esteem. I cant express how important Music House has been to us. My daughter has participated in group guitar lessons, individual voice lessons, voice ensemble, and rock band. Music House has so many options beyond just one on one music lessons that other music instructors just dont offer. Brian Kephart has done a phenomenal job of teaching collaboration in rock band that brings all elements of the students musical and performance skills together. Thank you Music House!!!
