Kumon has been a great resource for our son to further his development in reading. He is passing our expectations greatly which is why we are also enrolling him in math as well.

Jinmi and Josh are amazing to work with, they have my child’s best interest at heart. I have seen my child make so much progress with both math and reading. It is a great place for kids to learn and develop good focus and routine. We absolutely love it!

My child went into Kumon Leawood barely knowing all of his alphabet and numbers. Three months later, he is reading words, sounding all the letters out and trying to read books to me! Mathematically he is onto addition too! He is so confident in himself now that he loves to read words to me. We are so happy with his progress and the staff at Kumon Leawood for their persistence.

Our kids standardized test scores have gone up, they are more confident and happy students who enjoy school now rather than dreading it. Can’t recommend enough!!!!

My four year old has been doing Kumon for a bit over a month now. JinMi and Josh are very dedicated, answer all my questions promptly, are very kind and do a great job with their center. I trust them and feel great about them working with my son. My son really enjoys the learning process(although its not always easy) and I feel confident to have a well traveled path to help my son develop and maximize his academic potential. I plan on enrolling my second son when he is able to begin the process. Big thanks to everyone there. I really appreciate the opportunity.

Our daughter is the youngest age possible that can join the class. As parents, we were nervous to have our child starting academic work. Staff were very accommodating during placement test and made us decided to sign our daughter up for both Math and Reading classes. Since joining, our daughter is aways enjoying Kumon time both at home and classroom.

Jinmi and Josh are terrific! You can see that they truly care about the progress of their students, and work hard to foster strong communication with their families. A very welcoming place!

It is not tutoring program. They don’t teach the materials or help school homeworks. It is all about learning by yourself, and they simply guide/praise/assist it. In our case, they give 30 minutes daily homework and 2 visits to the center per week. This daily homework helps to build a confidence and a good habit in problem solving by own skills and to avoid simple errors on her school math assignments. During the visit to the center, instructors do NOT lecture/tutor but review and make sure my kid is on the track. This fact would confuse you at the beginning. You have to remember that it is not tutoring program.

I signed up my son for Kumon classes this past summer after the center opened. Im so glad I did because son has benefited greatly from the instruction and homework. The owners and teachers are extremely friendly and responsive and truly care for their students. The center is located in the same shopping center as Emler Swim school where our kids take swim lessons and, even though it is 15-20 minutes from our house and there are other Kumon centers a lot closer to us, I dont mind driving a bit further to the Leawood center for lessons. My son really enjoys everyone he interacts with there.

We love this program. Our daughter is 3 and shes learning so much, she loves going to Kumon. The teachers are great.

Jinmi and Josh are best teachers and very creative. My son really enjoys and learns a lot. He is so motivated to go there and progressed a lot.

I enrolled my two children, who are in first and fourth grade, over the summer, thinking we would just have something to keep them on track over the break. They have made such great progress, however, that we plan to continue with KUMON for as long as we can! Just the other day our daughter did a mental mathematical calculation that she would have not been able to do a few months ago. And our son has not only made great progress, but he has also learned good study habits and focusing methods. The staff is very helpful and accessible for all of my questions, patient and kind to the students, and help to make the student learning fun through celebrating all of their achievements.

We started looking for Kumon in our area and so glad we found this center which is so close to our place. The staff are very encouraging and suggest the right things for the child to move forward. Appreciate everything you guys do😊

I had checked out other Kumons in the area before this one opened, and I am so thrilled I chose this location! Besides that it is conveniently located (next to Emlar Swim and Price Chopper), the owners are the most quick and enthusiastic to respond to any questions and following up with us and other parents. Moreover, the owners’ background are in education and teaching which I truly find it to be an extra bonus for us, because they are personally passionate for your child’s progress.For parents who are thinking about Kumon but unsure, I want to tell you Go for it because it’s an investment that will bring you the biggest ROI in the long run. Your kids are signed up for soccer, dance, gymnastics, music, etc— but will any of those activities prepare your child long-term to succeed academically for school NOW, high school, and college? This would be where I think Kumon will be a gift you’ll be giving your child— it’s like Tae Kwan Do for the brain. Ms.Jung and the teachers will be teaching discipline, stamina, focus, critical thinking in math/reading so your child can rise beyond their grade level. Our 6 yo child is only a few months in, and we have already observed a significant improvement! Thank You Kumon for your patience and your dedication in motivating while still challenging our kids to be their best self..
