We took the tour after our grandson was signed up for the week of camp and I think he should have fun especially Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday when he gets to ride the horses.UPDATE: He had a wonderful time and wants to go again, but this time he wants to go for 2 weeks. Its more than just horses as he learned to take care of them and other animals as well as archery.

I was told my initial meeting was to go over programs that their farm had to offer. I was never informed that they wanted to do an interaction with the mini horses, or that we would even be allowed in the farm/stalls area. I was not prepared attire wise because of this. We went through everything I was hopeful of achieving and how they’d be able to help, and at the end I was told Libby would contact me to set up a schedule for my family so we could start. She didn’t reach out to me, I emailed her. Her response? Go to this other farm, we can’t help you. Marine Corps veteran. Very disappointed.

We have had such wonderful experiences with Horses 4 Heroes. They have helped our military kids mental health so much during isolation and a pandemic. And they have provided a valuable service to our squadron family. A lot of work goes into this place and my daughter loves it so much she chooses to volunteer every weekend. A fantastic, safe atmosphere in the great outdoors surrounded by barnyard animals where kids can develop a work ethic, teamwork, and build friendships. Thank you for all you do!

I have the privilege of volunteering here (one of 4 organizations I professionally volunteer for, this one being my FAVORITE!). The level of commitment given to the animals and their care is really impressive. And then, theres the true commitment to the folks who come to expose their kids/ families to the magic of the horses at Horses 4 Heroes: its so amazing to witness the capable trainers pair up the right horse to the right rider (even though some of the younger folks dont know it at the time... LOL!), then watch the magic of those connections materialize. I adore both horses and children, so for me, its like the best of both worlds.

My daughter attended her first horse camp this summer and has since developed a deep love for Horses4Heroes! She would live at the ranch I we let her ❤️ The entire staff has been wonderful and such great mentors. She is challenged during her lessons and feels a real sense of accomplishment each week. Our entire family feels welcome at the ranch and it has become a place dear to our hearts!

The theory is great. However as facility owners, headquarters in Vegas is rich off this venture. They keep all donations and expect partners and affiliates to donate all their time. While I love to help people, I cannot pay my bills or employees charging $5 per ride and next to nothing lessons, not to mention hosting BBQs all out of my pocket. The Company keeps all membership fees as well. They need to be able to distribute money to those ranches willing to help.

Horses4Heros is a wonderful organization. The staff is so friendly and take the time to show you the barn, let me meet all the horse, share the animals names and stories with you. Theyll take you to the petting area and let me give patches, the pig, a nice belly rub! Weve visited a few times for their Saturday riding and now my kids take horse back riding there. Carol and the staff that teach the kids are so patient and friendly. We love it here!

As a long time volunteer with Horses 4 Heroes, I must say Sydney Knott her staff and dedicated volunteers are an amazing group of people. Just helped out today December 11th 2019, with a field trip of 80 first grade students. All said and done it was a great day, kids were happy, educated about barn life and Equine. Would highly recommend.

Horses4Heroes is a special part of a historic farm which is now Floyd Lamb Park, administered by the city. The park includes four lakes where fishing is allowed. Huge old trees provide lots of shade to make the visit comfortable even on the warmest days. Many friendly rabbits, peacocks, and geese roam the grounds. Surfaced paths allow strolls around the lakes, historic barns and various well kept buildings. Picnic tables and lots of green grass make for a relaxing day. Every Friday visitors may ride a horse in the corral for a $5 donation. While they wait, guests may pet goats and other farm animals. Dogs on leash are welcome. On the far north side of town, it is a little out of the way, but it is a delightful escape from the city. Visitors interested in the horses should email the address on the website to receive a parking pass into the park.

I went to this park for a perish picnic. There were hay rides to take you down to the petting zoo, and horse stalls. Once we got there, we were very concerned. The horses and ponies seemed to be kept in fair enough conditions, but the other animals seemed to be treated rather poorly.None of the animals in the petting zoo had any clean water. The water dishes were disgusting, and filled with waste. There was a sheep in the petting zoo area. It was clear that the sheep had not been sheared in a long time. Its wool was dirty and thick. There were several ducks in the petting zoo. The ducks were just wandering around the area, attempting to nip children. These ducks had no water to swim in.One of the goats in the area looked starved. You could clearly see many of the animals bones through its skin. Mainly its spine, shoulder blades, and ribs. There was a cage a large cage with animals and chickens. One of the chickens seemed to be missing a large piece if its beak. Another was missing large chunks of feathers on its back. When it came to the rabbit, two to three of them were in a cage. Many of these cages did not have water, and some had no food.I saw no cleaned and water in the entire area, only disgusting water with dirt and algee.

My family was excited to go here. Knowing that this was for a good cause to upkeep the facility and the animals, we donated significantly more than the cost of our two kids. What turned us off was when my daughter wanted to ride again, the guy immediately said thats another $5, as if we were trying to pull a fast one on him. Given we donated more than the cost of our two kids. That should not have been the response. In addition, the animals in their petting area do not look well. They do not seem cared for, and they are just walking all over what looked like 3 or 4 weeks of their poop.I hope the animals get better care and better owners, as we will not be coming back there again. Maybe if they acted more professionally they would not be in this position where they are struggling to keep open.

We visited the ranch at RanchTule Springs last weekend and were in love! My 6 year old son took his first horse ride and everything went perfectly! The staff was so warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable and instructive in such a great way that made my son feel very comfortable and able to really enjoy himself and get the best experience while riding for his first time!! We are now looking to start the mommy and me program to introduce him to taking lessons soon and I couldnt be more excited that we found Heroes 4 Horses!! The petting barn and bounce house also added to the amazing environment and I would definitely recommend this great place to everyone its truly a hidden gem great for getting children and adults out to enjoy the beautiful scenery and some amazing wholesome natural fun with animals and nature, a beautiful breathe of fresh air!!

I visited this place. My grandkids are coming to town soon and I thought they might like to see a horse. Boy was I surprised. They have over 60 Animals on this small piece of ground, WAY to crowded to take proper care of these animals, Horses (22), a Bull (steer with huge horns), a pot bellied pig, a donkey, goats, a llama, an alpaca, sheep, some chickens and rabbits. It is a lot of large animals for such a small size piece of ground. Next, I asked how long they had been open and they told me they opened here in December. When I got home, I looked them up on line and the DO NOT have a business license! It appears they are trying to fly under the radar. One horse looked very sick, there was animal poop everywhere and the stink was overwhelming. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my grandchildren here. This is an area with single family homes. A business seems out of place here. Wonder if they did not apply for a permit to be here? Id guess not since they dont have a business license. Best advice I can give is STAY AWAY. There are other horse riding stables that are clean and have a business license (and probable insurance). I will never go back here, it was disgusting.

Horses4Heroes in Las Vegas is a great opportunity for families to experience first time or entry level Horse Back riding. I especially like that every Ride is conducted in a controlled and well managed environment with experienced and trained handling Staff. Kids just love riding the Horses, heck at the price, $5 per ride on Friday, $10 on other days and considering the overhead, expense and safety rules these days, that is absolutey amazing. It is the most affordable and least expensive entry level riding experience I have found. Not glitzy, posh or upscale, just a working Equestrian Facility in an old ranch setting at Floyd Lamb Park. Oh, and the park is a quiet and comfortable place to wander around (Trees, lakes and grass, in Vegas?) Good break from the frenzy, crowded downtown..

I’d like to dispel some of these negative review comments about the care of the animals. They are all unaware of how hard the staff works to keep this ranch in operation. Horses and all animals are well cared for. They offer a great service and do the very best they can to offer a great experience for all their guests. Had a great time there.

Horses for heroes is a wonderful chance to let your kids experience horsebackriding at a reasonable price. We scheduled a party for our grandchildren and the loved the individual attention they received, learning the horse names and all about horses, culminating in a tour of the stables and rides on the ponies and horses. Even the little ones enjoyed the afternoon. I highly recommend it!!

My 8 year old son spent the last two weeks of summer at this summer camp and fell in love. He only wants to come back to this camp when school is out! The kids are allowed to be kids. They are able to run around, get dirty, interact with the animals and just be kids! We started weekly private lessons after camp and he is doing great. He loves doing chores in the barns with the horses, and the respect he has learned to have for the horses and the entire upkeep process is awesome! Ive seen a big difference in him, almost a maturing, since he began. He loves his riding coach, Mr. Dan, who is so patient, gentle and kind with him!

In my neices words, BEST. SUMMER.EVERRRRRR! They rode horses, played on large water slides, learned how to care for the horses, and the other animals. They saw lots of barn animals, (my nephew has a serious thing for goats) and saw a lot of wild ducks and geese.THERE WAS EVEN PEACOCKS!! They were not allowed to touch the bunnies but my niece said they were the cutest things ever. The bunnies were everywhere and it was wonderful! They were taught to care for animals, tie knots, fish, and many other survival and responsibility skills.

Was at Floyd Lamb on Sunday July 2 the day after my husband passed away. A guy named Jim told me and my friends not to feed the animals. A stupid womans dog was loose chasing bunnies. I got into it with her because she accused me of abusing the animals. Jim was watching and when I said something to him about the dog running loose he said he did not see the dog loose. The woman had 2 dogs but his nosy self was just watching the argument. When I told him that he said The park closed 5 minutes ago. I was with my 2 African American friends and I am mixed. A little while later I saw several white people walking back near Jim and the woman with the dogs was still sitting in the grass. Not once did he say anything to any other person about the park being closed. I went back and asked his name and who he worked for and told him he was racist!! Prime example of Racism at Horses4heroes by Jim. It will never end. SMH
