I think the teachers are great. However, I think it looks in poor taste to have parents sit outside on their lawn chairs in the afternoon on school property. I understand that this is considered a Title 1 school, but it does not mean it needs to displayed. If parents are not allowed on campus during school hours, why do some parents feel having a picnic on school grounds is ok!?! It seriously gives the school an awful look and have always wondered why the administration has never done anything about it.

My child has graduated this year but it was a very tough year. I feel like the teachers purposely made it so. I understand it was the last year for the 5th graders but it was too much. My child had anger issues all year, we had teacher issues which is another long story. Now that school is out his anger has calmed down alot. I see a big difference. Dont make the kids hate school and hate teachers by picking on them and pressuring them. This is what my child went through this year but Im glad to say mine is done with Starlight Cove. The school labeled my child a behavioral issue but didnt feel the need to test him or talk to me about testing him for any type of disorder. My childs situation was handled all wrong!

My child was left with an entire chorus ensemble unattended. The chorus director had no assistance setting up or attending to the kids. I walked in the cafeteria at 5:15 for the 5:30 show. Was told it was postponed till 6:30. Kids were screaming on microphones, jumping off the stage and tables. Running rampant. The chorus director told me my child was unable to sing after months of practice. Because she wasnt listening to instruction. Which weighed heavy with me after seeing the other kids behavior. Went directly to the office to get some awnsers... no one to be found. No one was in charge. Found the after school program instructors after wandering the halls. No awnsers. I am calling the super intendent in the morning. I will be taking my kid out of this school not to return after winter break. This is my final straw in a long list of grievances I have with this school.Update. I went to talk to the principal Bout this and a few other problems. She was too busy to help. Too busy to discuss a child being assaulted, bullied and left unattended. Shame.

It is ok but i dont like the fact that if a kid comes to school with extra supplies the teacher tells the kids give me all your extra supplies parents pay money for their childrens supplies a kid shouldnt half to give up there extra supplies the kids could use their extra supplies for next year. And fyi i go to that school i shuld know also im in 5th grade

Inexperienced teachers, no communication. Principal is new and unobtainable. Asst Principal should have gotten that position. Mr. Payner knows my children and I only have a handful of teachers help. This school should be turned into a charter school and wiped clean of all the wasted time. The Aptt nights; The Principal require the teachers to do a song and dance. More allotted wasted time. I want to talk about my kids. not get to know other parents. Its not a social. Im setting up my kids to go elsewhere. This school didnt ever think to realize maybe my son needed to be tested for a disability. Instead, they just continued with a behavioral child. The bullying continued for a month! Zero tolerance????
