My kids attend this school the academics are very challenging. All the teachers work hard for their students to succeed. My kids really enjoy this school. The principal is very nice and i love that the school works hard to encourage good behavior and good manners. I plan on my kids attending this school until they are forced to move on to middle school

My son came from a horrible charter school. He was so behind and I was so worried about how he would do in a new school. The school principal took her time to meet with us to discuss our concerns and our sons needs. We came up with a plan. Ms. Hallmark ( which is the best teacher ever!!) was amazing with my little, wild, smart, and inpatient 4th grader. He loved her class . He Never complained about going to school and was excited to learn again. I am so grateful for the entire staff at monte vista!! Im so glad we get one more year here!!

This school has one of the most disrespectful teachers I have ever met. Ms schoessow is only there to collect a paycheck. My wife went in to the school to ask my sons teacher about how she handled a situation of theft in her classroom and why she felt it was ok to blow my son off. As soon as my wife walked in the door and asked her, ms schoessow started yelling and speaking down to my wife. Then she stormed off to speak to the principal, as soon as they got in the principals office, she changed her tone and changed her story about how she did everything in her power to help my son and how my wife was blowing everything out of proportion. My wife asked the teacher to leave so she can speak to the principal alone. The principal basically told my wife too bad and there is nothing he can or will do. My wife left in tears. We pulled our son out and are keeping him out for the remainder of the school year. We try our hardest to raise our children to respect every one, and how can we be successful if his teachers are teaching against it. Now we are looking for a new school to enroll both kids in. This school sucks!
