If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only do they have an extremely nasty new director but they have a problem with student attendance. While its understood that you are receiving service from students, it doesnt explain why they have such a high student attrition rate. They blame the pandemic but other local schools like Toni & Guy and Paul Mitchell dont have that problem, because they are good quality schools with quality staff. The fish rots from the head down.

So thankful I decided to take the Advanced Manicuring Program at Advance Beauty Collège.Everyone there is extremely nice and helpful. I was always told that I wouldnt learn much in Nail School, but this is not true here. Every instructor is extremely professional.They are talented and can also give great insight into the business side of being a nail tech.I was also impressed the way the school handled the pandemic. I always felt safe. The school is always extremely clean, including the restrooms.Also, the whole staff is really helping so many people from around the world become successful with the skills the we have learned.Whenever I felt confused, Thao in the office always made me feel comfortable. If it wasnt for her, I believe I could have easily become discouraged and quit.I am thankful for her support. Working fulltime and being a parent, ABC can work with your schedule and whatever life difficulties that come up.I wouldnt have chosen any other school. I toured many and was glad I picked ABC!

ABC has been a big supporter of our Fashion Shows. We’ve worked with the staff, instructors, and students for our fashion shows for over 5 years and they are all so helpful, organized and patient. Our shows are always a challenge, and to be able to do 100 models’ hair, makeup, and nails in less than a day is incredible! Amazing team and amazing people.

I used to have my hair colored but decided to let it grow out silver. The instructor would look at my hair and instructions were given to the student. When the haircut was completed the instructor would Inspect the cut and show the student if hair cut needed to be improved. The teachers pay close attention and every student I’ve met wants to make sure you have the best experience. They are personable and remember you when you return. I have spent years trying to find a hairstylist I trust and who can work with my extremely thick, curly hair. I always spend a large amount of money and come away disappointed. This was not a dry curly cut and Im not sure if their services are Curly Girl friendly if you use that method, but Im SO pleased with my haircut. It was done by Julie and her instructor, both of whom were so professional, and friendly. I have not been this happy with a haircut in years and I will definitely be back.

I was so impressed with the professional service l received at the Laguna Hills Campus. Kristen Kelly was my stylist. She really took the time to hear what I wanted and utilized the expertise of her Instructor Jason to make a plan to do a pretty involved color correction. Leah cut my hair and let me tell you: SHE DID GREAT! She was so open to any suggestions I had, and gave her own opinion (with her expertise, of course). Went to ABC in Laguna Hills this morning for a color. Makayla was my stylist. She was confident and made me feel at ease and welcome. You can tell that she is passionate about color. She took her time to apply the color and made sure not to get any on my face. She has a warm and engaging personality, was confident and took pride in her work. If you need an over all color or root touch up, ask for her.

Had an amazing experience with Kaylee! I’ve already been back as she’s become my go to girl. I haven’t had bangs since 2nd grade and she confidently guided me in what would go best with my facial structure and gave me some stylish fringe bangs. I recently went in to see Jessica L. for a facial at the Laguna Hills location and she did an amazing job! Its now been several days since my facial and my skin is still holding hydration and feels continues to improve. Im pregnant so I was able to get the organic facial option they have and it was the perfect choice. I highly recommend Jessica and you cant beat the pricing for a high-quality facial.

Even though the prices may be extremely cheap for acrylics I would not recommend getting them done here they did such a sloppy job glueing the acrylics to my nails that they came off in exactly a week and other than that the lady who did my nails took from 4:30 to 7 to them. Decently never coming here again.

I write this review for AJ Alforo who has given me a wash & blow dry at least 2x a week for about 2 mos now (after my surgery). He is the nicest, most caring person and did a great job blow drying my hair. This place is very clean and nice, as are all the people & students who work there.

I had Victoria cut my hair. She is wonderful..I got an excellent cut/shaping. I highly recommend her. On another note, I had a pedicure here a couple days later and it was NOT a pedicure; merely a polish change. I would have to rate the Pedicure at 1 star.

This was a truly surprising and AMAZING experience. I say this because more often than not there are certain stereotypes attached to different things. My long time hairdresser retired and my hair was in desperate need of cutting! My neighbor loosely suggested this place and said she heard a lot of good things about it. I have to say I was a bit anxious and stalled on getting my haircut here because of the negative thoughts in my mind drumming up wild crazy things that would probably never happen.I did take it upon myself to walk in there and talk to the people to get a feel for the vibe of the place and people. I didn’t want to go to a place I didn’t feel comfortable with. Plus, with hair it’s one of those things that you can’t exactly do over right away once it’s cut if you don’t like it.First impression – absolutely beautiful from décor to layout and brightness.Receptionist Alexandra was fantastic! She was super friendly and just really made you feel welcome and explained how the process worked.A woman named Sherry cut my hair and her teacher was Miss Mimi. They were phenomenal from start to finish. Sherry was a doll. Super friendly, paid attention to what I was requesting, and if she didn’t know how to do something she wasn’t afraid to ask the teacher for assistance.She was super gentle and really concentrated on making me happy.I do feel like I was a challenging customer with the haircut I wanted which was pretty much a pixie bob. They welcomed it of course, but I still felt kind of bad because it took some time to do. I didn’t want to be too picky since this was my first time and didn’t want any student to feel overwhelmed.I have to say it was well worth the time – I LOVE MY HAIRCUT SO MUCH!I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this experience all around and it made it that much better knowing that if was affordable!Some helpful hints I learned from other Yelp reviews were to bring a photo(s) of what you want so they can try and replicate it as best as they possibly can.Be patient because it does take a bit longer since the students are learning.Be kind and tip the students because they work really hard and are deserving of their work.I think the only thing that I would consider a down side in certain respects is that I feel it was way too bright in there.If you are looking for a win-win experience this is definitely the place to go! The students get to learn who are all really eager, and your wallet will love you for the affordability.This experience was an inspiration and I got way more than what I paid for in return.Keep up the wonderful services you provide!

TERRIBLE waste of time and money.The students are NOT trained to professioanlly do simple tasks like blow drying hair to a style. When trying to explain what you want courteously, you are told my a teacher that you should go somewhere else because you have hurt feelings or have too many expectations. VERY unprofessional enviroment and NOT customer service oriented.CONSUMER BEWARE. You will need to rectify the situation by getting your hair done somewhere else, so dont waste your time.

Professional results with beauty school prices! I had a washed out balyage and I wanted my hair to look more ashy blonde. I went to get my hair toned with Drew Sabus and he did a wonderful job. He listened to all my concerns and thoroughly answered all my questions. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted it to look and it was so soft and healthy! This place is trash! SHAUNDA acted like my curls would be cute, putting in a Texturizer, but instead, it made my hair straight and it fried my natural hair! I look like a man now. All the Texturizer did was take out my natural curls. I was forced to shave it off and now I look like a rooster. This place is garbage, and I would never come here again, and now Im currently preparing for a law suit. I literally left this place in tears. DO NOT GO TO SHAUNDA KING IF YOU WANT YOUR RESULTS TO END UP LIKE MINE DID.

The receptionist kit didn’t know anything about their services which was quite concerning considering that is her job to know them... so after getting zero information from the receptionist I decided not to give them my service and go somewhere else.
