This school is amazing and highly suggest auditioning if you are interested in art forms. This school also has a great academic program and will learn everything you need!

Fantastic school. Been there for 2 years. In the band program. Its a truly magical experience and you get very attached to your peers, almost like theyre your family! Great kids, great teachers, amazing arts programs. I highly recommend to a passionate artist seeking to grow, not just as a student, but as aperson

Im going on my third year in the vocal department and I love it. Certain students do bring down the mood though, saying how the school is terrible or how it doesnt give the normal high school or middle school experience. Now I will admit the school has some flaws in other peoples eyes, but I dont like the people who talk about the experience. Its an art school its not gonna give you a normal high/ middle school experience cause its not a normal school. I came from a terrible school before I went to ocsa so ocsa seems like heaven to me, but thats just my opinion. If you are considering to audition I highly recommend it, but if you are going to be like one of the kids who want a normal high/middle school experience then dont bother cause in the year youre here its gonna be absolute hell. Alright that is all I have to say if you read this thank you and if you disagree with anything I said then so be it I just wanted to get my opinion out there. I wish you a good day or a good night.

While the school has a variety of different things and you get to make a lot of friends, the administration and teachers are...terrible. Now I knew this place wasnt going to be like the show Victorious, but what I didnt know that there would be pressure upon you. They want you to focus more on academics rather than your art, which I can understand. But, to be clear, its a school for the ARTS. You might as well call this school a regular school with more pressure and stress. I dont like the fact that it has hour-and-a-half classes, allow immature middle school kids and that the teachers are very antsy on some details. For example, when I was ready to go to Disneys Candlelight at Epcot for a performance, the chorus teacher stopped me because I had very dark brown knee-high socks instead of black socks. Not all of us can afford things. I got angry because your socks wont be noticeable when youre wearing black pants with a robe that covers your ankles. Also, the chorus teacher is very strict and can be very rude at times. I was actually a freshman attending this school last year, but left to go back to my zoned high-school, and Im glad. I didnt even have that high-school experience there at OCSA either. They also want you to go to other peoples art performances because not enough people arent showing up. Honestly, while I do think it should be good to go to someones performance, we all do have a life. And some kids have family and school things to do. And I hated how they turned up the pressure of stress that you NEED to go to someones concert or festival to get a good grade. I find that very sneaky. While the school is very clean and open, it needs to be improved. Improve the administration and the attitudes of teachers, and lower the pressure of homework and projects. Im never going back though. Hope this was helpful. This was from personal experience.

Our family is very appreciative to be part of the OCSA family. Its a supportive and nurturing environment that is run by a caring and competent staff.

I havent really gone to this school other Tha. For concerts, and chorus competitions. For an arts school the campus is really bad. When I first heard I expected to come to a school that was huge and well manored. I thought the campus would be better than mine but it turns out not. My cousin went to this school, she didnt really like the administration but other than that it was pretty good.
