The instructors are awesome. Sasha is great at leading groups of people and I really appreciate how positive and encouraging she is. Julie was a nice help to Sasha as well. Everyone in the class enjoyed it!Thanks for coming out and making it a wonderful event.

My daughter went for a trial lesson and was told it “wasn’t a good time for her to dance with the class because they were rehearsing for their show and it would be too chaotic”. My daughter is 6 years old, and wanted to be a part of of a fun ballet class after not being able to do ballet for two years during the pandemic, she was dressed and ready for the advertised ballet trial class and very enthused and was told to come back another time in a way that was embarrassing for her. It was heartbreaking and sad. It was advertised for a trial to see if it was a good fit and fun and a learning experience, clearly we were not given that chance. Really sad and disappointing.-addendum: Cara from the front desk reached out to us to remedy the embarrassing situation we faced at the trial lesson and offered us to come back and was kind to try to explain the situation as a mis understanding. My daughter didn’t want to return back but this gesture was much appreciated. They expressed empathy and understanding.

Instructor Sasha have little or no empathy with the little girls, I took my daughter for the first time and thank goodness it was only for the trial class. The only thing that she know is how to be rude with a 2-year-old.little one I know they are looking to create discipline. but no thanks! thats not the way i want my kids treated. not recommended!!!

We had only one trial lesson with a toddler, but the school seemed very nice and professional. Our instructor Nadia was great with kids

I had a wonderful experience with LaVida Dance Studio. Im a beginner to dance in general, and I took an Argentinian Tango private class with Kristina. She was very welcoming, professional, and friendly. Kristina met me where I was at as far as my dancing experience. She was very in-tune with what new information to introduce me to. Not only did I not feel overwhelmed, but I felt excited about continuing my dancing journey. She also provided me with technical advice/suggestion to help build a strong foundation. Im looking forward to continuing to learn Argentinean Tango at LaVida Dance Studio!

My daughter loves being able to participate in a live class via Zoom during the pandemic! We live two time zones away, but we have a great quality class, access to the recordings, and shes so happy to be in class every week! Thank you!

Instructor made our beginning Tango lesson easy and fun and gave us some appreciation for what it would be like if we got good. She was calm and encouraging and we made good progress!

Super way for kids to learn discipline and effort = results. Teacher is so dedicated to the kids progress.Only suggestion would be maybe a 5 minute get to know you at the end of one class every month would be great.

I signed up for a trial as I originally planned for my kid experienced a few before making the decision, however my daughter refused to try others after her first class, she loves the teacher and always wanted to come back, she said Saturday was her favorite day because she can go dancing. The class is not crowed and the teacher are very nice to all the kids, we already started our second program without any hesitation.

My husband and I had a private bachata class with Julia yesterday and we loved it! The challenge was to introduce bachata to my husband who didnt particularly care about latin music. Julia made an effort to find the type of music that my husband likes and it was very helpful. Julias instructions were clear, she always made sure that we got it before introducing a new move. So my husband started from basic steps and at the endof the class he could do basic steps, turns, hammerlock and some other bachata moves. I will recommend Julia to beginners as well as to advanced level dancers who are looking to improve their performance. Thank you Julia for such a great class!

Loved my first Bachata class! I was amazed at how many things I learned in just an hour, and the instructor and classmates were so fun!

I recently have renting LaVida Dance studio for our Laughter Yoga classes! The space is ideal, and great availability! Highly recommend for Dance and yoga classes!

Fantastic private lesson! It is 2 on 2 with individual attention on each partner. Lots of attention on the basics and to make sure we dont get hurt.

Im currently on week 7 of an 8-week Salsa course here, as part of a Groupon. The class is pretty fantastic, and Ive picked up a lot. In the summer the floor can get a bit hot, but thats tough to fix.The instructors are very approachable and straightforward, and theres a great sense of community to the place. Unlike Century Ballroom in Seattle, I actually get the feeling that I can ask for tips and technique after classes. The instructors (there are generally 1-3 at a time) make a point of keeping everybody at the same pace with individualized advice. Parking and getting there is also a lot easier (compared to Seattle) since there is less traffic.My one criticism would be the pacing; the classes are designed in a way that assumes the students have NOT been practicing. If you practice with a partner between classes, you will feel like the class is moving slowly. This is arguably a good thing, so it barely merits mention.

Natasha is the best Argentine Tango teacher in all of Seattle area. All the Tango teachers are quite exceptional. However, Natashas teaching skills gives her that edge that makes her the best teacher in my book. I am an engineer and I like to have things broken down so I can understand the mechanics of each step.Initially I emailed Lavida asking for help with the close embrace, I was very stuck and I didnt understand what was supposed to be happening. I described my experience similar to black box testing. Its like I was pressing buttons for input but I couldnt understand how the output was determined.Natasha responded and said she knew what I was I saying and that she could help me like she has helped her other students[engineers]; and she did. Ive taken weekly lessons from Natasha and never looked back.

Irina is an excellent, caring instructor and very helpful. Shes taking time to make sure the foundation is in place before moving on. And the social hour after is a great way to firm up what was learned. Stasi was also very helpful and patient with an awkward beginner.

My daughter has recently started classes with Ms. Treena and we are in love. Ms.. Treena is the perfect balance of nurturing/ caring and guidance. My daughter loves going, hates leaving and enjoys class time so much. She has, in her show time, already learned so much. Every time she goes I know she will have fun and come home showing me a new move or part of a dance. Ms. Treena is amazing !!!

Cant recommend this place enough! Recently took a Salsa class with my boyfriend and will be booking many more. I heard the Zumba and Barre teachers are great, so I am looking forward to trying out their classes soon. Btw, the reason why Im not giving it 5 stars is because, for me personally its very hard to get there from West Seattle. Aside from that, good place.
