I love my experience at Acumen! The workers are SUPER NICE & caring !!! U recently studied there for my CNA license, The class was 3 days long but it was supposed to be 4 & the owner, gave me a free refresher course, because we didnt complete day four, but no complaints! I PASSED MY CNA SKILLS & written portion, I honestly studied my butt off ! But I couldnt of done it with ACUMEN! Highly recommend!!!

Im only giving a 3 star because I wasnt able to complete even a day of class due to illnesses within my family that ended up being COVID w my 4mt old at the time and 2 yr old at the time. So it was not a good time. I was told I can reschedule when i would like to continue on with the program but I wasnt going to be given a refund. So when the timing is right Ill be calling.

Dont test at this location. Passed written and failed clinical. Supposed to be 2 nurses present, only one observed who seemed to be having a bad day. No I wasnt perfect but for any mistake I made. I did state correction to either explain what was done wrong or redo correctly. Thought about challenging but it may not be worth it. Will test at the other location in Arlington. By the way I failed on measurements even though I know how to measure liquids. successfully passed biology chemistry and anatomy all with labs just to put things in perspective

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. My aunt, who has been waiting half a year to take the CNA exam was treated horribly for not knowing English. While her written portion was in Spanish, her clinical skills test was in English, even though she had also requested for it to be in Spanish as well. Not only was the instructor, who I believe is named ANGIE, rude to us as soon as we walked into the building, but she was also disrespectful to every other person who took the exam. Simple questions were responded with attitude and unpleasant expressions. How are people given a fair opportunity to pass an exam with a proctor who is impatient and judgmental? For the amount of learning, studying, effort, and money that goes into taking this program and exam, someone who is professional and behaves in an appropriate manner is only expected. Do something about this.

INTRUCTOR ROD WAS EXCELLENT MADE SURE WE HAD THE CORRECT MATERIAL AND KNOWLEDGE ALSO RECIEVED MY MED TECH HERE. GOING BACK TO GET MY PHLEBOTOMY .

After waiting over 6 month for a Testing Date I decided to get a refund. Acumen promised a free refreshing course and they ended up charging $50.00 for the free refreshing course that I didnt take. I asked for a partial refund and of course that wasnt possible. They knew that the testing where closed for over 3 month and didnt say anything. Just want to collect your money and do Not care what happens after. Take your Money somewhere else.

I went to Acumen for my CNA...Phlebotomy...CPR...and Med Tech I Love this school the instructors are the best and yes I was new to the medical field and past my state exam

I took the CNA course and the BLS course. Let me tell you guys. This place is it! I passed my state test with flying colors. They give you a website at the end of class to practice and study. An then at the beginning of the class they give you a book. You study that book and pay attention to class. You will pass the test no problem. I didnt miss anything on the clinicals and only missed 8 out of 60 questions on the written. You will do great if you come to Acumen I highly recommend.

I don’t know what else goes on here but for the people who have to get fingerprinted Identogo is the last service I’d go with. $50 for them to take a picture of my thumb and they pulled a McDonalds “our machine is down” move. Ridiculous. Would not use or go to unless FBBE was mandating it, save yourself the hassle.

Great trainers and school who wants to see their students successful. I recommend this place. It had been 10 yrs since my last CNA training course. I never did take the test at the time. After taking the refresher with my awesome instructor Rod. I passed with flying colors on my first try on the written and clinical. I have nothing but positive vibes to say about Acumen!

This school was recommended to me by a friend. She said she had enjoyed the small classes, the personal touch and well prepared she felt ready for her exam. Her words proved to be true. In my class there was only 3 of us, we were given time to ask questions, practice and share encouragement with each other. Mr Rod, our instructor encouraged us, listened to our concerns and worked with us as needed. I passed both the CNA and Basic Life support classes certification the first time. During the clinical tests I could hear the instructions that we were given in class replay in my head and helped me pass on my first attempt. I would recommend others to this school. The staff were all professional, caring and encouraging, answering all my questions and calls prior and after my classes.

Lets just be real. If you are new and a beginner, you do not want to come here. Im only giving 2 stars because it can be helpful if you are already a cna and just need a REFRESHER or your licence lapsed but if you are new to the healthfield game, you will be taking your test BLIND if you come here and yes I was a student and have a certificate but I did not learn what I needed to pass my state test.

10 out of 10. Guys I have extreme anxiety and I worry...ALOT. I’m also a bad test taker to be honest.I took my exam today and I passed with flying colors. A bit nerve wracking but honestly it’s the easiest thing you’ll do! I had Rod as my instructor and he was amazing! He really helps you and gives a great pep talk! I would recommend ANYBODY to come here to get CNA and BLS classes done! If you think you are a bad tester and or have really bad anxiety,don’t worry,because I promise you 100% that you WILL pass! I also had Jasmine for the refresher. Both Rod and Jasmine are so so amazing and I could not thank them enough from the bottom of my heart. Please go here y’all I promise you it’ll be the best decision you ever make!

ACUMEN is an amazing school to attend for all of your training needs. I had not taken a CNA class since 2014 at that time Mr.Rod was my instructor (he’s great and take his time). I finally decided to take the actually test, prior to this I had not opened the manual that Acumen provided during my initial class. Let me just tell you, you may want hands on training but if you have particularly taken the class here at acumen and still have your manual and not able to set aside time to take a refresher READ READ READ this book. It literally gives you step by step on all skills and is 100% accurate. Give yourself enough time to study or take a refresher course and you’ll pass. I took my test this morning and passed both the clinical and written. 🙂

Im taken this class now, tomorrow will be my last night, I have really enjoyed the class Rod our instructor was great with going on your pace and answering any questions. I will tell any and everyone to go here for your CNA training. Thank you and your family for what you do.

I took the 4 day CNA training course and it was exactly what I needed to know for the CNA state exam. All of the instructor are great and the owner is incredibly nice and very encouraging! I would highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to become a CNA. I took the course at the beginning of the month and passed my exam yesterday!!!

Acumen is the best place in jacksonville and surrounding areas to get your CNA training!! I went to two other places for various reasons and was not impressed. Everyone at Acumen went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed to be 100% prepared for my state test. The staff is not only friendly and knowledgeable but also very warm and welcoming. It truly feels like I had the upper hand during my exam over students that went to other training centers. My instructor was Tracy and I can’t say enough about her. She knows her stuff!!!!!I would highly recommend Acumen training center to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career as a nursing assistant or maybe wants to eventually go to nursing school and just needs to get their foot in the door. I LOVE this place and would recommend it to anyone who is starting their carrier as a CNA, caretaker, and getting extra skills such as CPR courses and Med tech class ! Signing up was super easy and I showed up for my class 15 min early to fill our paper work on my first day and started class that same day and had Jasmine as our instructor and she was very helpful and just a great teacher all around ! Omg let me tell you about my experience at Acumen ok first off I took the course back in 2016 I went through the whole process but I let my nerves got the best of me. Ok so I tried it again just about 2 weeks ago I took the refreshers course and this time rod was my instructor and he went through the whole course asked if you needed him to redo any of the skills over just let him know, but I’m saying this to say that we talked about life and things pertaining to the actual test I told him my fears and his exact words was you got this. I was like ion think so because I’m afraid of failing he said without fear where would the world be it’s okay to fail try again but you’re not gonna fail trust yourself and you can do it. So with that been said I took the test today I was so scared my nerves was taking over he said calm down you got this. Well I can outta the exam room super excited and I gave his wife Mrs Lisa the biggest hug because the both believed in me when I doubted myself I’m so honored to have train at their location because they make sure you are truly prepared for the state exam. Took my test today and passed both parts !! ....class was made fun and the entire staff was nice and willing to help and answer all questions ...I would definitely recommend this site for your CNA TRAINING, and everything they have to offer ...even the finger printing process was quick and easy !!!

Four years ago I took the class and my test and it was fantastic Rod was a great teacher,learder and also a brilliant friend to me and I just enjoy my experience with him and I learned so much just an a couple of days. And now Im the best CNA ever 👍🤞👌

Acumen is by far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Im almost certain they have after school children running the business. They completely lack intelligence and certainly could benefit by returning back to school themselves. Ive never experienced so much ignorance and inconsistency. I strongly recommend NOT patronizing the owners, the program or anything they have to offer. There are far more better programs through out Duval County to take advantage of.

No pleased with paying for a test and finding out I have to wait all day for the lady to process it and risk the money not being there if a bill hits or anything. Not ok with the way they do things at all. It should have been taken out right when I paid for the test and gave my bank information.

This school was a really great school for me however, Im know longer living in the Jacksonville area and I am in desperate need of a replacement certificate, when I called someone told me that they dont mail certificates that I would have to drop by and pick it up but unfortunately I moved to Orlando and had I known that it was going to be this difficult I wouldve gotten 2 copies before I moved.
