This place is the real deal. Shane was a very well spoken teacher and makes it so easy to learn. The hands on task throughout the whole course is perfect and helps you grasp what HVAC is all about. By the time your finished with the course, you will have an excellent foundation and, in some cases, will be more knowledgeable than people who have years of experience already. I am more of a hands on learner and The amount of hands on training we did is amazing. Each piece of equipment they showed us, they also had a model cut open so you could see the function of the equipment and how the internals look. I am a current student at this training center and I was skeptical at first being that I am older than most of the students in the course but Chris and Shane allowed me to come sit in before joining the course and I was sold! The classes are fun and informative! The best part is that I get to take the info I have from class and go home and see what mistakes were made on my own unit. They are very helpful with questions outside of class which concern my own home as well! The only negative thing I could say about this course is that I wish I had done this 18 years ago! I came with no knowledge at all of HVAC, Now in my last week of school I can proudly say that i can do everything from diagnose the unit, wiring a condenser or furnace, charge a unit, take the superheat and supercool, Do a pump down or a full recovery and a lot of other things, Its a hands-on school so dont expect to be in your workbook all class, The environment is very friendly and the instructors take the time on explaining everything, Overall is the best HVAC school you could invest your time and money in, It is really worth it and I fully recommended.

This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Coming from the energy sector looking to get into a new career field and wasnt sure if this would be a good choice. The classes are about 13 to 16 people but still small enough that you can ask questions and learn from each person. The instructors are laid back but really knowledgeable and can answer any question from someone that has never touched a A/C system to the tech that has been doing it for years. If your thinking about learning the HVAC trade this is the place to go.

The program is pretty good. You learn the theory behind Hvac and the practical applications. The instructors are personable and accommodating. This is a Great Training A/C Facility. You will learn the complete HVAC unit and how to repair and/or replace them. Walking in knowing nothing other than turning it on, I have full understanding and Knowledge of how to work on Various styles of units. You will come out of this school ready and able to start working for any A/C company. Chris & Shane are very knowledgeable and are great Teachers or their Profession. I honesty wished I would have learned this many years ago.

The Training Center for Air Conditioning and Heating is a fantastic experience and way to get your foot in the door of an untapped industry. From the very moment I was recommended to go down and take a tour, I felt invited and welcomed by all. Shane was there to give me a tour and introduced me to April, Cathy and Chris. After showing me around the lab and classroom, I just knew this was going to be the right place for me to learn. The class holds 18 students and is offered in morning and night classes. I hadn’t met the night instructor until my first day of class and was I ever in for a treat. Mr. David Dooley was to be my night instructor and he sure guided me in the right path to success. After the first four weeks of class we took our EPA test. I was nervous as heck, but no need to be as David told me what to study to prepare myself to pass it. And pass it I did on my first attempt.The amount of hands on labs and projects we got to do has prepared me for the actual job and that I am confident. The 55 part final exam, yeah, I killed it because of the expert advice and training I received. Most importantly, the advice and training is backed by experts from within the field. If I ever have a question or am needing help, I know I have resources and life long relationships that make me feel as welcomed as family.Oh and not to entice you to taking the night classes or anything, but Mr. David Dooley does barbecue challenges and his barbecue is easily top three barbecue that I’ve ever had.

I attended an HVAC school couple of years ago(different school) and decided to do a refresher ( at the Training Center of Air conditioning & Heating) after I got laid off from work early this year and I could only say this to all that are still undecided to which school to take your HVAC training program: This School is top notch with very Qualified and Experienced Instructors they will walk you through from the basics to the advance lessons. This is not just an entry level program. You will learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot every component of the HVAC problems.You will learn how to charge, evacuate, dial in your subcooling and superheat, calculate heat load, calculate CFM, replace failed components, replace blower fan, wire the whole system. install ductwork, check static pressure, check status of (compressor, blower, condenser fan) using not just with a multi meter but also with a megger, troubleshoot gas furnace .Yes you will do all of this and many more and you will do all of this a lot during free lab. Lastly Im thankful to have found this school. Thank you Chris & Shane.

They really taught us the fundamentals of hvac as well as character development. So we would have an idea what to expect once we got into the field. No matter if its installing a Schrader valve, connecting a 521 hard start kit, or connecting common,start, run from the condenser fan and compressor to a capacitor or how to recover refrigerant. Attended a free session for homeowners that presented a wealth of information on how to get competent HVAC service that is fairly priced. Chris did an excellent job of presenting a lot of really useful material that would benefit any homeowner. It was 2 hours very well spent by those of us who attended.He is not selling anything, but just seems dedicated to educating consumers on how to get the most out of whatever money they have to spend on HVAC. I attended a Saturday morning homeowners seminar. It may have been the best short course Ive ever attended; full of useful information, practical advice, and exposure to the real equipment in the training workshop.The information about R-22 system maintenance and possible replacement refrigerants vs. whole system change out for R-410A alone may save me thousands of dollars over the next few years.

When I chose to change my career to learn HVAC, I was looking into many facilities and colleges. I end up choosing HVAC training school because of the 95% hand on work. Although, this class is only 16 week long but I have leaned a lot. I like the instructor, Mr. Shane, he makes learning a lot easier and make it fun and interesting to learn. It is a good size class. I get to work individually and also as a team we work together. I felt comfortable approaching the instructor when I have questions or need help. Overall, I enjoyed learning at this facility and glad I chose the right place to gain my knowledge and experience.

I attended a two-hour homeowners class the school offered this morning. Chris was the instructor and very knowledgeable with lots of show-and -tell. It was all wonderful!

Excellent school and very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere! The instructors there are laid back and easy going with a lot of knowledge to dish out if you are willing to learn! I recommend this school to anyone thinking about joining the HVAC trade!

Attended a short course for homeowners at Chris training center and found it to be very useful and informative. Learned a lot and would highly recommend anyone wishing to gain entry into the HVAC business, to attend his classes. Excellent presentation and hands-on experience is what he offers. I will use some of the new knowledge I learned in his free homeowners class he haled. Highly recommend him!

I finished the class in 16 weeks, I passed my EPA exam with flying colors thanks to the help of the very informative instructors. I’ve received plenty of hands on training, I now feel very confident with what I’ve learned in class, and can’t wait to start my new career. This school is the best in Houston to learn HVAC. It is a hands on training school. The instructor Shane is very helpful with each student. The classes are small which makes it easier to learn. The office staff are very professional. If you are considering to learn HVAC, this is the school to attend.

First, I want to say that I was never a fan of trade schools. I’m a middle aged man looking to change careers. I searched the internet for possible HVAC schools to attend. As I expected I read review after review with negative comments. Until I stumbled across “ The Training Center” . I read all the reviews and decided to enroll in the January 15th class. I am pleased to say that this school has changed my thoughts about trade schools. The course is completely informative. It is hands on from day one through the last day! You will learn everything you need to know to install or repair any unit. You will earn your EPA card and receive your certification. When you graduate you will be a completely qualified technician. We began working with The Training Center of A/C & Heating last year to design and build their new generation website. They are a great bunch to work with and run their business on a platinum level or professionalism.

I came into this class not knowing anything about a/c, leaving this class I am 100% confident in going to find a job and start a new career. This class is very hands on, you learn about 24v, brazing, duct work, and plenty more. I highly reccomend this school to anyone intrested learning about the A/C industry!

Everything about the class is 100% worth the time spent driving to the school and sets you up for a good career in the HVAC field.

If your looking for a quick way to learn pretty much everything about residential Air Conditioning this is the school to go to. Gives you tools and a learning experience that would mimic the real would as much as possible.

I recently attended the training center. I learned a lot. The hands on training was awesome. Mr.Dully is a very knowledgeable teacher. He made sure we understood everything before moving to the next step. I am confident that I will be a good HVAC technician.

Prior to attending, I heard nothing but the “BEST” of this HVAC Training Center from my neighbor before checking it out for myself. And I’ve got to say, he was certainly correct about everything he told me! Great school to learn HVAC trade from! Great staff in the office! They were very informative from day one prior to my enrollment! The Instructors are experienced and very knowledgeable! Instructors make sure us students understand before moving forward! And about 90%-95% of class is HANDS ON! It’s a 3-month program. I’ve been only attending for a month. And I’m well confident in all the multitude of material that we’ve covered thus far! Not to mention that I’m also EPA (Universal) Certified as of now! Awesome HVAC Training Center!

Tremendous amount of hands on training, I’m definitely thankful I stumbled upon their site.

The instructors are very informative, with step by step hands on training. Ive learned a lot about HVAC systems, and within 16 weeks I passed the EPA test becoming a registered universal technician. I cant say enough great things about this school. I will say this, I feel very confident about getting started in my new career !!
