I absolutely love The Imani School! I have a toddler and elementary student who currently attend. The teachers and administration are warm and welcoming and I know both of my children are receiving an awesome education. Over the years, I have made several referrals to The Imani School and have consistently received positive feedback from my family and friends. I just wish it went up to high school!

Great school. My daughter has been here since kindergarten. All the staff including the principal Mrs Williams are exceptional. Currently my daughter is in Mrs Lincoln class and I cant use enough superlatives to say how great she has been. Phenomenal teacher. Before that she was in Mrs Banks class and she also is phenomenal!!!our daughter is assertive, smart and knows that everyone loves her.

I have two children who are currently attending The Imani School. I have a 1st grader who started in the Infant and Toddler program and a toddler enrolled now. As a repeat parent, I wouldnt change a thing! When I drop off, I know that my children are being well cared for. The teachers are nice, nurturing, and in tuned with my children. Also - I can tell how much is being taught even at the earliest of stages. My experiences with the classroom teachers and administrative staff have always been friendly and professional which is why I have recommended the school to other families who have shared their own positive experiences. Go Imani!

Exceptional school, with an amazing Bible-based curriculum. We have been apart of the Imani Family for approximately 5 years, and we have a genuine love for the teachers, staff and the community. The parents, staff and students all feel like family. My children are exceptionally smart, & the teachers there work tirelessly to enhance their intelligence. Students are taught ahead of their grades, in some instances, which, in my opinion better prepares them for the grades ahead. My children come home reciting Bible verses, and singing praise and worship songs on a daily bases. The faith-based environment breeds positivity, humility and togetherness. I would recommend this school to anyone in search of an exceptional education for their children!

Things started off great, but recently weve dealt with unprofessional teachers at the infant and toddlers school. Yelling at parents should be unacceptable and call for immediate disciplinary action however teachers are allowed to do these things (on multiple occasions to different parents) and are never forced to take responsibility for their actions and apologize to parents. Everyone is expected to just accept and move on but trust that their children are being care for without any negative impacts. Quality of care is inconsistent and teachers are often seen on their cell phones in the classroom when they should be watching the kids. A better communication protocol needs to be put in place between parents and staff. Unless questions are asked, not a lot of detail is consistently shared on daily reports for the little ones. And if questions are asked, some teachers automatically assume a parent is complaining or questioning their ability. This gets old after awhile of always have to justify why you are asking simple questions. Not all teachers are bad but there are a couple that just get away with this unacceptable behavior and leadership appears to look the other way or make excuses for their personality flaws. Cleanliness has also been an issue. A parent should not have to ask for the equipment kids play and lick on to be deep cleaned. Some of the items were so dirty and caked with old grit even after a basic cleaning they had to be pressure washed by the maintenance staff. There are a lot of little things that happened over our time at this school that we had to look past but the recent behavior of staff and lack of discipline caused us to disenroll our child. I would NOT recommend this school after our experience.

The Imani School has become a permanent fixture in my life and are now a part of my family. We experienced the best 11 years of my sons life at the Imani School. From the Infant and Toddler School to the Primary School, the Imani School is truly a home away from home for its students on a daily basis. The Imani School provides a family environment and ensures that the students are prepared to excel academically beyond elementary and middle school years. Our children were given a spiritual foundation during their years at Imani that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Mrs. Lincoln starts off this extraordinary journey in academia in Kindergarten and Ms. Y. Smith finalizes the journey in 8th grade, ensuring that all of her students are prepared for high school academically and emotionally. The Head of School Mrs. Williams, embraces all of her children with love and ensures that they have a nurturing environment, by encouraging them to be their best and do their best. Mrs. Garner and Mrs. Gray are always available with a smile to provide any assistance needed in the front office or with parent relations. The Imani School will forever be engrained in my heart as family and part of my village in educating and raising my son!

The Imani School for Infants and Toddlers is horrible. I first notice an issue when I was bragging on how great the school was and showing my co-workers the camera of watching my child at school. Then while we were all watching it, a teacher inappropriately yanked a toddlers arm (not my child) and threw him in a chair. I did tell Shawn Williams and she said, Well I will talk with that teacher, but she didnt seem a bit concerned. I will not recommend it to my worse enemy. My son attended for 9 months and at first it was a really great school until all the good teachers started leaving. Now the staff, particular Taylor Williams, is beyond ghetto. I had to file a police report and child neglect report on her to the Health and Human Welfare office and Houston Police Department. She is still a teacher at the school. When I brought my concerns to Shawn Williams, she tried to cover up the abuse and neglect that goes on there. They are only worried about money and not the children. Very unprofessional and rude. Shawn Williams husband, Ben Williams, is very unprofessional, childish, and rude and I wouldnt trust him around any of the children. (pervert) I wouldnt trust him with the familys dog. Horrible business and horrible people. Shawn will smile in your face to get your money and act like she is handling a situation when in fact she is only sugar coating the incidents. When Shawn Williams was useless, lazy, and not helping, I reached out to the schools principal Patricia Williams and she promised to call me back, then the next day Shawn and Ben Williams lied and said she went out of town for 10 days. The next day I called the police to write an incident report on the teacher Taylor Williams and guess who pops up from out of town or should I say walked across the parking lot from the big school...Patricia Williams. I called the police because my son had scratches on his face and also told me that the lady Taylor Williams pinched him. The school is full of family members who are all liars and only care about money. Bad business and money hungry family. They are over rated and over priced. I say over priced because the tuition is expensive yet they have horrible people working there. They dont even serve breakfast for the children. Now I pay $400 extra per month then I did at Imani (which is not a problem as long as my son is in good hands). Please watch the cameras closely, ask your children questions, and always check them out.
