I was a student at this school. What more can you expect from an American school? Of course football and basketball are going to be put of the highest importance. Education is the last thing this school considers of importance. They set up a program where athletes must maintain good grades, but of course their grades are manipulated and given a huge nudge to achieve this criteria. I will give that attendance is valued at this school, but they only count the third period so that the school can receive money. Furthermore, money only goes to the athletes and faculty parties. Teachers give absolutely no effort or encouragement because they are surrounded by students who can care less about their lives. Not to mention the drug, gang, and sex activity going on inside the school. This place is dangerous for your health, mind, and safety physically.

Literally one of the worst schools ever, dont send your child here, one of the aps who used to work there always had his arm around a female student flirting with them, numerous peoole can confirms this and the other aps harass students in the halls, i went there a year ago and i had some problems with an ap named ms martin and a year later after i graduated and went to drop off money to my little sister who now goes there and mrs. Martin was still harassing me, most of the aps there are so unprofessional, galena park really needs to hire new people with a more positive professional attitude who truly care about students

Good school but the counselors dont really do much about fixing schedules. I lived it!

I went there 2 yrs not going to say there bad or good because they actually did help me graduate despite alot of bad influence students that go there some teachers dont respect the student confidentiality, Yet most teachers do teach you great lessons & challenge u.

School athletics are horrible they pick favorites and don’t give any other student a chance to be great at the sport mainly for the basketball coaches, and they don’t even tell you what to work on if you do not make the team they don’t care about anyone but there favorites
