Excellent experience at Omni Salsa Studio!! Mike, the studio owner and main instructor, and the other instructors have been awesome. Mike makes sure to teach you how to dance. Whenever I make an error, he is there to clear it up without sugar coating it so I can get better. I have learned a lot and my husband went from 0 dancing to be a very good Salsa dancer. We always have a good time and the social events are very fun.

Omni is the best place to learn how to dance Salsa. I’ve tried other studios and Omni by far is the best value for the money. Where else can you go and try it out for three classes free, no obligation. Who else gives you the opportunity to continue and repeat those classes three times a week at the lowest price in the area. They also have socials twice a month that are free to students and that are a great place to practice and improve one’s dancing skills. It’s not just about the money with Mike, he really wants to teach people to dance. Other studios rush you out the door when your hour is up to get the next class in, Omni gives you the chance to practice before and after class. You will learn how to dance here.

I noticed there didnt seem to be many recent reviews. I think Omni has been a great place to learn both Salsa and Bachata. The instructors and very thorough and knowledgeable, and even the group classes are small enough to where you still feel that youre getting individualized attention. Mario, Joana, Emilie, and Mike are all great dancers to learn from, in my experience. This was my very first time taking dance classes so I was a bit overwhelmed with choosing which studio to join, but a close friend of mine swore to me that they were legit - and he was right. The studio itself is a bit cozy but thats more or less the feel of an actual dance club so its great practice. And they have free classes the first week of every month and a social every third weekend of the month.

I cannot recommend Omni Dance Studio enough! I have tried out multiple salsa studios in Houston and it is by far the best studio. Whether you are brand new to latin dance or a more experienced dancer, Omni Dance has something for everyone. They can teach you everything from scratch or improve your existing technique and styling. Omni Dance has an extremely structured and professional approach to teaching dance but the environment is also super welcoming and comfortable. Not only do they have the best latin classes, but their classes are reasonably priced and worth every penny. I loved taking classes in-person at their studio (pre-quarantine) because the classes are big enough that you get to dance with a lot of different partners which is good for your learning and they also had super fun monthly salsa socials. The very first day of quarantine, they wasted no time rolling out wonderful online lessons over zoom. I was superΒ impressed with how quickly theyΒ leveraged technology and adapted their policies to practice healthy social distancing guidelines while still encouraging dancing fun.Β Online dance is a great way to stay active duringΒ quarantine and you can even go back and watch recordings of the lessons between classes. If you have been thinking of trying Omni Dance studio or need a new hobby, do yourself a favor and sign up! You wont regret it.

Mike is one of the most experienced salsa teachers, and best male lead, in Texas. He does a great job of making group classes fun while teaching technique and style. But I recommend taking privates with him if you can. I did when I was first learning to dance and he helped me take my dancing to a whole new level. If you are looking to get in some practice time or just make new friends, I highly recommend checking out the socials at Omni.

If you are looking for a professional fun salsa class; this place may disappoint. The skill level of the teachers is good; their mannerism is awful. If you dont mind being disrespected, screamed at, pinpointed, or kick out of a class for making a simple mistake, this is the place for you. The instructors are extremely rude. On multiple occasions, people have walked out of the class. I feel awful for the females, they are always targeted out loud in front of the class. Also the Mike guy, I cant speak the validity of this, well everyone says hes so crazy when teaching because hes always drunk. I wish my salsa experience was better here but, they will not allow me to enjoy the class without being yelled at. I recently checked out Amaya and dance factor! Very friendly instructors and professional.

My boyfriend and I have been taking bachata classes at Omni Salsa Dance Studio for 3 months now. We both enjoy the classes very much! The instructors are extremely fun and friendly. They have social events, great way for us to meet new people, socialize and practice our dance patterns and styling. I highly recommend this studio.

I think Omni salsa has the best salsa instructor in Houston, and i think that because I started taking salsa lessons at Omni back in 2011. After a year I decided to try different dance studios and different instructors after trying 3 other studios I realized Omni salsa was the best place to take my salsa lessons, I noticed Mike had something different from other instructors, he really cared for the students to learn their lessons, I felt his way to teach the lessons was very clear and easy to pick up the patterns, I think he is a natural teacher or instructor and very talented dancer and on top of that he is a very nice person, he’s always improving the studio and looking the way to make feel his students comfortable when they’re at the Omni Slasa

I read other reviews saying how the instructor was rude and condescending but I thought, how bad could it be? Wow, as it turns out, bad. Normally I am all smiles at dancing classes because I love dancing and find it fun. He sucked any joy out of the whole experience. He yells at everyone which is only half (if that) joking but the worst part is that he mocks his students and his demeaning attitude was mirrored by some of the people attending too. I have never experienced such derogatory behavior at any class before and to pay money for that seems just crazy. I gave them 2 stars because they can teach you the moves but so can any other salsa teacher in town of which there are hundreds, only minus the attitude. Save your money and go to Dance Heights or another quality dance studio.

Tried their social for the first and last time. The flyer said ladies free which was a lie. Then I get there at 9:30 to get the early bird price and it took me 10 minutes to find the entrance. When I found the entrance it was 9:42. After trying to explain my situation the girl at the was rude disrespectful to their customers, and showed a total lack of professionalism for people. You want to learn for real contact me. I know just the place.

Comfortable, cozy and fun is how I would describe the learning enviroment at Omni. Professional, attentitive, patient and friendly would best describe the staff. Coming upon my 3rd month in level 3 (Salsa), Ive learned so much in regards to timing, footwork, leading and style. If you want to learn how to dance and if you can take instructions from people that know how, this is the place to be.

I was very much looking forward to the free lesson they offered via Houston Meetups. After reading details it was $5 for males and free for ladies before 7:30 pm. We were in line and at the table at 7:29/7:30 pm. The person collecting money told us it would be $15 ($5 for females, $10 for males). I stated I thought to the contrary and we only paid $5 but I was unimpressed by how rude those at the front were. The dance instructor was fun and gave good bachata lessons. However, the dancing afterwards was almost all salsa which left my wife and I in an awkward position because we didnt learn any salsa that night as it was our first lesson in latin dancing. In summary, the folks in front of house were pretty rude. The lessons were good, but it didnt make any sense to give bachata lessons and then have almost exclusive salsa dancing. Those who never have had lessons arent going to do well if they dont know the dance. My wife and I were considering going here for lessons afterwards, but that was before our interaction at the beginning. I cannot give my money to a business that is rude to potential students.
