My application got approved on 8/28/21 and still have yet to receive the funding. I have emailed the worker Dianey Cavazos at least 10 times have gotten no response or even a hey I got your email. Everytime I call the number listed the agents say well you just have to wait and the worker doesnt have an extention to transfer to. This is so crazy because landlords are filing evictions left and right and it doesnt seem like any of these so called Help systems are helping anyone. There are always stories everyday online where people are losing their home, cars, and livelihood for not being able to catch up to get out of this madness from covid-19 and those who control the help and funding are sitting there as if they do not care and anyone that needs help just have to wait until they can find the time to get to you.

Was approved for funds in August. Was supposed to get a direct deposit which “didn’t get accepted by my bank” they said in the voicemail on September 2nd, 2021. I was given a phone number by my specialist Cefenay Garcia and was told to go pick up my check. When I called the number they said they can only “send a request” for a check to be sent from the finance department. Cefeney told me she requested a check on the 2nd and all I had to do was go pick it up. A week later I never heard anything soo I called the number back and I was told all they can do is send another contact request. I contacted my specialist letting her know I was getting the run around and I have not heard from her since. It’s been 2 weeks since I later contacted her with no response still.I have decided to screenshot all of these reviews that have had the same problem and submitted a claim through the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I would definitely suggest y’all do the same.

Do NOT work for this company. This company doesn’t care nor respect their employees. Communication is none. Respect is none. To say they care about our community is so far from the truth the only thing they take pride in is being the biggest Non-Profit organization. This is a warning for anyone that is seeking employment with them. You will not have security in your line of work no matter how great you are or how many clients brag about how awesome their experience was with you. I personally loved what I did for low income families opt to work in the office during the pandemic never had a complaint from anyone I had direct contact with but I’m still seeking employment because I don’t trust them.

Just got a call back and not even 48 hours later like said on the voicemail. These people that work for this company are a buncha CLOWNS. I see why the reviews are horrible. They arent telling lies. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! BE AWARE!!!!

My case were approved 3 months ago, landlord has yet to receive payments from bakerripley. What a shame! 1 month of constant excuses why my rental assistance havent been paid. No good.

They run through those cases so quickly, helping people isn’t their goal. Denying the cases seems to be the goal, they help who they want to. They talk in circles to get you to withdraw then make it seem like it was your choice.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program...Reaching out to Judge Lina Hidalgo; Mayor Turner and Congresswomam Shelia Jackson-Lee as its unbelievable this process is being ran minus any due diligence. Landlords are providing w9s, etc and tenants are being told the landlord isnt registered although they are listed as participating on website. Then told landlord doesnt own property when that information is on hcad.org that a Specialistcan easily confirm. In times such as this no one needs the added frustration - especially a documented COVID long hauler. This is beyond overwhelming unnecessarily.

Company is mismanaging distribution of public funds. Company continues to incur errors causing more and more delays of funds desperately needed by the public. Terrible communication and no empathy to needs of the community

The most rudest people in this entire building ignoring people and walking by like if there were starring at a wall, to begin with be sure to respect people like you would like to be treated and I hope the owner finds better opportunities for better workers and dispose of those that don’t need this job without looking at people less than them

I wish the application process of assistance would not take so long. Its very discouraging that they ask for so much paperwork and your application is still not complete. Apply to the salvation army instead.
