I was looking for a nail school since March 2021 and came across Mafy’s Nail Academy. I loved the fact that they are family owned and operated and treated us like family. Mafy’s is definitely one of the best schools for nail technician license! On the first day of school, I remember coming in, terrified and feeling like there was no way I would be able to pass the test and actually become a nail tech. Ms. Mafy teaches you so much and makes sure that you are completely comfortable! You are also able to sit down and have serious one on one help and conversations! Mrs. Mafy was a great instructor and was attentive to everyone. You never felt left out because she made sure everyone was able to understand the task. She was very organized and helpful. I can also say the same thing about the assistant instructor, Thami who was just as great. She was patient, super nice, and was willing to help you until you got it. If you are looking to learn professionalism and skills (sanitation, design, application) this is the school for you. At mafy academy they care that you learn the fundamentals of sanitation and professionalism in regards to the industry. They also provide up to date nail design techniques. When I was deciding on what school to choose, I went based off the rates on google. All the previous reviews were nothing but positive things. I called the school, spoke with Mrs. Tammy and I knew right away this was the place for me. When comparing schools not only was I comparing price but also comparing what I would be learning. I did a lot of research before a friend of mine recommended Mafy’s Nail School. I have never done nails before, except on myself, so I needed a school that would actually teach me techniques, as well as basics. Well, I will be forever thankful to my friend for the recommendation. Ms Mafy is the most compassionate, caring and patient teacher I’ve ever had the pleasure to learn from. We learned not only the basics, but a lot of acrylic designs as well. Ms Mafy has outstanding dedication to make sure we will become great nail techs, knowledgeable and confident.

Ms. Mafys academy really prepared me for the nail world! Massachusetts requires the least amount of of hours in the US at 100. So its not a lot of time to ever master something but she does her absolute best to set you up for success. I have witnessed another nail program in my first cosmetology school before her. That nail program, as well as others Ive heard, will just do state board drills the entire time. They will barely focus on sanitation or disease. They never teach you about any nail art, just how to basically apply acrylic. They would just give you a book for half the time and youd do everything by yourself. Ms. Mafy actually spends the time to personally teach you how to apply acrylic, so even if you dont get it down, you know what youre supposed to do. She teachs you modern acrylic art techniques, including 3d flowers and encapsulation. She actually teaches you about diseases and sanitation and shows you photo examples. She answers all questions knowledgeably. She also will help you get a job after you graduate! Once you are apart of her school, youre family. I never heard of an advance or medical technician before I met her. Nearly year and a half later after graduating, I am an advanced nail tech. Trained in aseptic care and treating chronically ill patients, working towards my medical technician certification. I have just been offered a job as head nail technician at a readers choice award winning salon and I couldnt thank them enough. Ive been to 2 cosmetology schools and seen a lot of another nail tech program and she is hands down the best teacher I ever had and she really cared about us and our progress. I highly recommend this school to start out your career

They make Facebook groups for their classes, which makes it easy to ask questions outside of class and get updates from the school! They CARE about their students! Yes, they had a wait list, if anything that speaks to how in-demand they are. I knew their course was worth the short wait because of their great reviews and because of the exclusive aspects of their course. Literally the only things you have to bring with you to class are a roll of paper towel, a notebook and a pen, the course is all-inclusive. Mafy’s gives you high-end nail supplies like Tammy Taylor in the kits they assemble for their students. The teacher, Mrs. Mafy is so experienced, fun, but also serious when it comes down to practicing for the Boards. The price is totally WORTH IT! 5/5, love ya Mrs. Mafy!

The Voicemail on their business phone lines says to reach out via Facebook or Instagram.2. POOR COMMUNICATION? They don’t call back; I inquired to attend the school August 2020. MAFY’s nail school “messaged” me back via Messenger October 2020 😳(I had already graduated and passed my state exam from another school)3. WAIT LIST? They aren’t accepting new students until 2021. They have a back log of their acceptance.4. OVER PRICED - they quoted for $2,500* for tuition and luckily due to the lack of communication— I was able to keep searching and found a school that was less than $1,000 and would have me graduating in less than 30 days.

I can not say that it is bad but it is not all that the institution says about giving you a cosmetology license ... according to her in your YouTube videos she says .. .. get her licensing of cosmetology which is totally false .... she does prepare you for k then you take the exam and that is how you get the license ... something other than the course there is k pay 180 dollars to take the exam and k the owner of the academy does not explain any of that .. and that is very bad of her ... she has k desir in her videos .... I prepare the person for k then take the exam but it is not me who gives the license ... I only give them the diploma ... I heard it better for when the Vallen students know there they go ... it is a tremendous teacher teaches you everything in general . But that data she does not give and that is wrong from management ... it is only an opinion as a customer ....
