This training class was excellent! Pre-class communications were excellent, including directions & recommendations. Safety training was first and well done. The range was well-suited for the class. They built our skills layer by layer, mimicking real world scenarios. The instructors were personable, caring, and clear in their communications. I left with a new mindset and new skills.

The staff and Michael are amazing at what they do. Process for things such as suppressors especially is extremely simple. Otherwise if you get them a call, theyre always helpful with whatever question you might have but I do recommend coming in to see what they have at the very least.I did take a CHL class a few years ago too and that was painless also.

This was my second time going through one of Michaels trainings at MK Tactical. I live in Vancouver and definitely have options that are closer to me than Hillsboro. The reason that I chose to go back to MK Tactical is quite simply Michael. He takes his responsibility as a teacher seriously. He is both passionate and professional in helping to further peoples education about their right to bear arms, proper firearm safety, self defense etc. I respect his demeanor and the service that he is providing. I have recently patronized this business multiple times and find it to be of excellent quality and superior customer service. The owner is by far one of the more down to earth people I have met in the gun/concealed carry community. He is highly knowledgeable, skilled communicator, and very friendly. He never makes you feel stupid or like your questions are dumb, and he has no problem giving you the long answer to each question. This is definitely a “gem”, if you will, and I’m glad MK Tactical is in my town. 10/10 would recommend and have recommended already.

I went in to have night sights put on my Shield 9mm. After watching several videos online and seeing multiple people really smash on their slides to get them in, I decided it would be best left to a pro. Ryan got the job done the same day and the slide was returned to me in perfect condition.Very lucky to have such a great shop right in town, everyone there was friendly and nice and even offered to take a look at another gun I was having some issues with without charge.You can tell they care about their customers and will do pretty much anything to help them out.Highly recommended!

A lot of good reviews from people, however, I was a little put off by my experience at MK Tactical. I went in to inquire about availability of a Glock 27 and the immediate response I got was that 40 S&W was a fad caliber that is hard to find because its Bestity has faded out, so not many of them being made. They didnt ask me why I was looking for that caliber, just the snippy comment about that caliber. They did take the time to check on availability of the specific handgun I was looking for, so Im thankful for that. I would suggest questioning the customer a little before making snappy comments or judgements, it will go a long way with people who have gun experience. I may be back, but I do have another local gun shot that Ive had no issues with, ask good questions, and do their best to help each individual based on their needs and knowledge base.

Once again another amazing class with Michael and team! Learned so much and walked away more comfortable than before with carrying my firearm and knowing how to use in various situations. Must take class!

My wife took an Oregon CHL from another local trainer for more than the cost of the Oregon and Utah CHL at MK Tactical. She wanted to add Utah and so we both took the combined course here. The class was very full. Michael, the owner of MK Tactical and teacher, is very passionate about what he does. He noted that he has been doing this for many years and it shows. The course is very pro Republican because of the current partisan position of gun laws. The course ran from 6:30 to 11:30 which was rather late but did work. Overall I am pleased with the course. This course was only one step in the process to get an Oregon CHL. I filed my application with the Washington County Sherif and they didn’t have a spot to be interviewed for an additional 4 months.

I needed an AR15 armorers wrench and rather than buying one Michael just let me use his at the shop. When I offered to pay, I was told it was no charge as it was a quick procedure that I did myself. This speaks volumes to me as how MK tactical treats their customers. This is hands down my go to store now. Along with using the tool I had a VERY enjoyable conversation with Michael while I was in the store!

I took my concealed weapons class here and it was great. They do all the paper work for you unlike the other guys and they are the same price or cheaper. The class itself was great, it goes by fast because it is a good class with a lot of information and they are funny as well not robots. I see them at the gun shows also and they are extremely helpful and just great people.

Two times they have found me a gun no one else could. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and are willing to talk cannot recommend them enough.

This is the ONLY place you want to get all your firearms related services from. Michael makes you feel right at home in his place of business and it is always a pleasure to deal with him or any of his staff. My wife and I have purchased numerous firearms, reloading equipment and classes from MK Tactical and we will keep coming back. Hes not the closest to us, in fact, we drive about 45 minutes to get there, but we are always treated with respect and patience. I met Michael long before he had a store, and am proud to consider him a friend.

Today my boyfriend and I went into MK Tactical to buy two Aero Precision stripped lower receivers, (MK tactical was the only dealer from AE’s website that had them in stock). We had called around to so many places in Portland and surrounding areas.Michael was so helpful and friendly. We ended up hanging out and talking for a while. He answered all our questions, told us about some recent purchases he had made, and even mentioned that if he didn’t have something in the store, he’d do everything he could to order it for us.Can’t recommend this dealer enough for its great customer service. That CHL class was very informative

Went there for my CHL class and had a great time. Michael was a great instructor and made us all feel comfortable. I went back the next day and Gary was very pleasant and showed me exactly what I needed and was priced under what I saw online. The dog, Molly, is also very friendly and well behaved. I will be going there from now on. Thank god we have alternatives to Beaver Creek Armory.

Hi, Im a Hillsboro local. I have been in this shop a few times and I think the Ive only bought when I was in there once out of like ten to twelve visits. The staff there are super friendly and answer your questions without making you feel like they are going out of their way and even though I dont buy much when I do go in the staff are always welcoming and warm. I havent yet actually purchased anything from MK but based on my experience with Michael so far, I definitely will be in the future. After looking for information on a suppressor, Michael gave me excellent information, very competitive pricing and walked me through his Silencershop kiosk. The first shop I reached out to (wont name names) never even contacted me back. MK on the other hand encouraged me to come in so he could help me out. Once Ive made my decision, this is the place Ill go. Oh and I live nearly an hour away. Still worth it.EDIT: Well the wait is over and I now have my NFA suppressor. Thanks again to Michael for making the trip and the wait worth the while. I would absolutely recommend anyone to do business with Michael, he is a very fair person and understands that both the business and the customer can benefit from a transaction equally. These guys know their craft. Good selection of firearms in stock as well as accessories, safes, etc. They also custom make kydex holsters which Ive had done twice now for different firearms and theyre top quality. I havent used them for their training but have heard good things about it, so I may at some point.

I took their CHL class last night and I learned a lot and it fully changes your perspective on carrying and learning about all the laws was great! The class was very professional, but also very laid-back and not intimidating at all! And they make the Utah license extremely easy as well. I 100% recommend this store and this class! Even if you dont want to carry a Firearm I feel that this class will teach you a lot about guns and how to be a responsible gun owner. And you can never have too much knowledge in this world.

Great shop! Took my CHL class there as a refresher and to get Utah/AZ. I was very impressed with the information provided, far more than just meeting the requirements. Very worthwhile.Then yesterday looking around for an AR trigger, decided to check out what they recommended. Eric pointed me towards an POF single stage trigger that I absolutely love. The upgrade was far better than I expected and well worth the reasonable cost.These guys are worth your business.

Id give them a sixth star if I could. Have had several holsters made, and bought quite a bit of ammo from Michael over the years. I can count on one hand the amount of gun shop owners who work as hard as their regular employees, and really care about the wellbeing of their customers. This shop is the first to come to mind.

Grew up in super conservative area so Im used to massive right wing views.The owner is BADASS. Totally supportive in answering questions about the laws and explaining proper handling of handguns and expectations of concealed carry. Sal was also super awesome in answering my questions on the phone and extremely knowledgeable about small dumb questions that I had.My first concealed!!!If you are left wing and want a good shop that wont judge you, this is it.

Had a custom holster built a few weeks back. Great quality but didnt like how it wore the finish on my gun. I took it back and they exhanged it for a holster for another gun with no problem whatsoever. Definitely will do business with them again

I decided to stop by MK Tactical about a year ago on the recommendation of a friend. I was immediately impressed by the shop, Michael and his staff. Several months later when I decided I wanted a pistol in 9mm I went to MK Tactical. Michael provided excellent information and perspective on the options which helped in my decision. Nearly a year later I discovered a problem with the sighs and called Michael up, without hesitation he said bring it on down lets have a look. Michael brought me to a nearby range and verified the issues himself, then contacted his Rep and made arrangements for its return to the manufacturer. Most shops would have blamed me or told me I dont know how to shoot but Michael gave me the benefit of the doubt and took the time to verify the issue that same day, even going so far as to say if the manufacture doset fix it he will do whatever it takes to make it right. Customer care like that is hard to come by in this world and will show my appreciation by returning to MK Tactical for all my firearms needs.
