Our son was feeling pretty low because he was being bullied at school. Taking him to TNT was the best decision we could have made for him. Knowing Mark personally helped make that choice because he had always been straightforward, kind, genuine, and knowledgeable in the Martial Arts. Now our son feels empowered to take on challenges in school and in life because of the whole person approach they teach at TNT. Even the parents learn the tenants of the TNT Martial Artist: Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, Respect! Above all, our son is learning wonderful leadership skills and is happy.

We were looking for something to help our child work on self control. TNT came highly recommend and so we started with a trial. My son loves it. In addition to learning valuable self dense skills, hes also made tremendous progress in not overreacting in stressful situations. Two years in, this program continues to be exactly what we were looking for!

This place is a game changer! Our son come to TNT with low self-esteem. He was being constantly bullied. Mark and his exceptional team have helped nurture and build up my son. I first noticed that my son was gaining confidence in his body by the way he moved. Our next huge change came when I noticed our son wasnt bothered by the words of other. Mark and his team have given my son a thick skin. This is priceless in our world today. There are not enough words to describe how truly thankful I am.

My 6 year old son is REALLY coming out of his shell learning Martial Arts at TNT. My 5 yr old son is a student at TNT. Besides getting in a good workout, he is learning how to follow instructions. This is tough lesson for my little guy. Our son was being physically bullied at school. Mark and his team of Alexander and Derek give our son a place to learn the confidence and skills to take care of himself. The anti-bully training is amazing. As a parent, I love that the kids are taught how to verbally respond to a bully, when to get a trusted adult, and when to take action. Now that my son is no longer bullied, TNT feels like a place where our son can grow. Hes learning how perseverance leads to accomplishment every time he rises in rank. Our son bubbles over when he earns a new belt or stripe. What more could a mother want?

I have known the owner Mark, both personally and professionally, for several years now and have never met someone more dedicated to raising children to be proper students and peers. Ive not only entrusted my own two boys to the tutelage of him and his instructors, but also aligned some of my own business on-goings with his. Some people feel the need to leave a negative review before attempting to work things out; Ive yet to meet someone whos not satisfied with TNT if they act like adults and set that same example for their children. I highly recommend sending yourself or your children to TNT for an excellent experience in self-discipline and and personal protection!

We enrolled our son at TNT last spring after he decided that Boy Scouts was not for him. Not only does he find the classes fun (and challenging). His attitude has improved. His attention span has improved and his self confidence has soared. Ever since we first walked in the door I have ever felt we were absolutely welcomed. In addition Mark and Alicia and the rest have shown concern, not only for his learning at TNT but for even his day to day stressors as well. This welcoming and helpful attitude extends beyond TNT staff to the students. Long time students work patiently with new members, older helping younger and vice versa. We LOVE TNT. I am so glad we found them. The change in this kid over the last several months has been amazing. I just wish we had enrolled him sooner!

TNT has been nothing short of AMAZING! The first time you walk in the door they make you feel like family. They work with you step by step. Their AATTMM program is EPIC. My 8 year old who was getting bullied so bad now has the confidence to stand up to any situation at his new school. He walks proud and looks forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays cause he know those are TNT days. The STORM team is so amazing that they make learning fun for the kids. I also started at TNT. I was very hesitant being older than most of the students in my class. However Mark helped ease me into it and I have never felt so confident. I have been doing martial arts since April 2017 and I just now decided to sign up for my first jujitsu competition. WE LOVE TNT! WE ARE TRIBE STRONG!

Im so glad we found TNT! The staff is amazing, the prices are affordable and the classes are structured yet fun. My son struggled in group activities in the past, but he loves this class so much!! You never have to wonder where your child is at in TNT classes or what events are happening there because the communication is so strong from the staff. 5+ years ago, we were looking for a solution for bullying that my son was experiencing, and help with some negative behaviors. Mark and the other instructors turned a frustrated, angry 10 year old with no confidence into an amazing 16 year old full of self respect. We have been having our girls take classes at TNT since January of 2014. It all started with a problem with a couple of boys at school. The instructors quickly helped our oldest find her voice and feel confident in standing up for herself. Like many other parents I researched martial arts schools around and read reviews. I was aware the few bad reviews for TNT but had my concerns put at ease but visiting the dojo and having a trial period. Whatever issues existed previously do not appear to be a problem now. For anyone who is interested in giving their kids a chance at learning to defend themselves, confidence, a GREAT extracurricular activity I would highly encourage you to check out TNT. At the very least form your own opinion. I have not been disappointed once by these fine folks. We LOVE it there!!

I started at TNT Martial Arts about three years ago. I went in because I got tired--tired of feeling like a victim-to-be. Often when I was out by myself running errands, on a run, or out with my kids, news stories about attacks on women would play in my head.Raising two daughters, I worry about their personal safety as well. The statistics about sending young women to college is terrifying. I want them to move through the world with confidence, not fear. I hoped to lead them by signing myself up. So I did. And they did too.Surprise, surprise. It was fun! I have achieved a new level of fitness inspired by the rigors of my training. I have found and corrected imbalances in my body. I have persevered through tough new moves, and rediscovered my athleticism that I enjoyed so much as a kid.The atmosphere at TNT is comfortable and supportive. The training is both relaxed and intense. We learn from the best of many different forms of martial arts, as well as how and when to use force, and what is appropriate for different situations. We practice moves and sequences of moves over and over encouraging, each other all the while. I don’t feel competitive with the other students. TNT instructors remind us often that we are on our own journey to find our own style of martial arts and will progress at our own rate. It doesn’t matter how fast that happens, only that it is happening.Now, I move through the world with relaxed confidence. If something happens, I know I have much better odds of getting away unhurt. I know I’ll be able to protect my daughters. I also have more confidence in other areas of my life, e.g. speaking up in meetings, and putting myself out there. I’m more at ease in my body and being.I look forward to my twice weekly training. I know I’m going to see some friends, learn something new, refine something old, and come home feeling relaxed and accomplished. Tying on that new belt rank and unlocking a new set of challenges feels pretty awesome too.

We’ve been learning at TnT for over a year now and the positive changes in our children have been amazing. We’ve seen improvements In confidence, self control, work ethic, and independence. My middle schooler has used the anti-bullying system at school successfully. I’m forever thankful for the day we started our TNT journey.

TNT Martial Arts has been nothing but wonderful for my son Bradyn. Instructors Mark and Alicia are the best with the kids. They command respect from my child that nobody else has ever achieved. They have high expectations of the children there including doing well in school. My son has been there for about 5 years. Helped his self confidence and self esteem!

We LOVE TNT! It is clear that Mark, Alicia, Sarah and all STORMs truly care about their tribe! During practice they take the time to explain to parents what they are doing and why. They truly feel like family! They teach the children to respect themselves, stand up for themselves, and respect others. Good old fashioned values that are sorely lacking in youth today. I cannot put into words how happy it makes me that my grandson has such strong role models in his life!

Our autistic son has attended TNT for almost three years now, his confidence, attitude and outlook on life have been changed with the hard work the TNT family has provided. Once bullied at school, to the point of coming home crying and not wanting to go back to school, he now is confident and stands up for others to prevent bullying. TNT is a great place for all types of kids and adults that want to learn a new discipline and succeed in future goals.

TNT Martial Arts is by far the WORST business I have ever seen. The instructor, Mark, was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we first walked in, our noses were filled with the intolerable stench of body odor. Mark approached us in a not-at-all-businesslike fashion. He got straight to payment options. The classes were overpriced, and when we received our free private lesson, I saw my child struggling a lot. Mark began to get frustrated with my child very easily. We then signed up for lessons at TNT, because my wife INSISTED it was the right thing to do. Mark promised to stop my child from getting bullied... but... my childs bullying situation progressively got worse. We eventually quit TNT and moved on. But we will never forget the money we wasted here.

Im going today by the way I have been going there since the beginning of the year its awesome! and also mark isnt rude.

Our son loves the challenge of moving up ranks at TNT and were pleased that he also receives positive personality training at the same time. He had been involved in gymnastics and parkour previously, but we had to go all the way to Beaverton for instruction. Having quality martial arts training available in Hillsboro is great, since we live in Banks. I know Mark Gajdostik personally and have always appreciated his approach to parenting and teaching. He is no nonsense and instructs positively with natural consequences and high expectations that gain student respect and inspire growth. Our son has received anti-bully training that has made a huge difference in his life. He has gained confidence in himself and his behavior at school and home has improved. The discipline taught at TNT is welcomed and it helps our 4th grader deal with many situations he encounters in daily life. TNT is a no-brainer for us because we dont have to fight him to go every week. Looking forward to black belt training!

My child was paired with a black belt when she was a white belt. The boy ended up injuring her ankle and unfortunately still has issues from her injury to this day. It was very negligent on the teachers part to allowing such a match. I was very uncomfortable with his teaching style. I stayed to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if things would work out as I do believe in the values being taught. After 6 months my kids begged me to stop going. Per my kids it was the worst martial arts experience EVER!

TNT Martial Arts has been and forever will be, a second home to me. Its what shaped me into the strong independent woman that I am today and has strengthened me in ways no other sport or gym could ever do. My mentor, Mark Gajdostik, has always been there for my family and myself, especially during the rough years my father was deployed overseas. Mark would always make sure my little brother and me were at tnt to help keep us occupied, and destress from knowing our father could possibly be killed. He would check in on us, take us to training, drop us off at home, and even invite us to events for free when I know my mother couldnt afford it. On top of that, he even saw my potential as an Martial arts instructor, and took me on as his Apprentice.Hes stood up for me like a brother, listened to me as a friend, and been there for me as a mentor.He is a big part of the reason I am a successful adult today. Making sure I go to school, stay safe, have what I need, and always there when I need help.He has done so much for me, and I have seen many of the amazing things he does for his students and family.And thats just what he has made TNT into, family. Mark has done a fantastic job in providing my son with the structure he has needed to become an amazing human being.

Only been a member for a few months and can tell you the instructors are great. As a recently retired senior citizen I was looking for something to help me stay in shape, plus I always thought knowing Kung fu would be neat. Got the staying in shape part right but was way off on the Kung fu part. What Mr Gajdostik teaches is a variety of martial art techniques geared towards self defense (sometimes brutal if needed) fused with respect and kindness. The instructors are very tentative to all the students needs and have made me feel right at home from the start. I always leave each class feeling better than when I arrived no matter what my bones and muscles are shouting. Kudos to TNT martial arts Hillsboro, Or.
