I had three 2 hour private driving lessons with Shawn and they were great! Gave great insight on what to expect for the driving test and what they will be looking for. Im an adult with little driving experience and these lessons were great. Other reviews have noted issues with scheduling but I had none! The lady on the phone was nice and professional, and Shawn was always on time. Id recommend this to anyone looking to prepare for the driving test, even if its one lesson.

I did a course with Shawn, he was an excellent instructor. The classes were well thought out and structured very well. Progress was made very quickly but at a pace that I was comfortable with. Cathy, who I talked to to get the classes scheduled was also very friendly and gave me some good advice for getting my drive test scheduled (not with TDA). I strongly recommend Toms Driving Academy.

I will definitely recommend Tom’s driving Academy, I needed a refresher and they came through for me. My Instructor Winona is a calm, nice, and reliable person. The office is also really good at getting back to you once you leave a message. Cathy is a lovable person and very willing to accommodate your schedule.

Reached out to TDA as my Oregon license had expired for more than a year and I had to go through the whole process to get my license re-instated. Cathy and Loree went out of the way to advice and help take my drive test successfully.

Cathy is helpful, patient and professional on the phone providing info and scheduling lessons. I appreciated being able to sign up for lessons quickly and promptly!

Can’t say much for their driving courses as I’ve never been a student. However a representative of their company parked in front of my driveway and I can’t say I’m impressed.

I found Loree to be rude, defensive, and unprofessional. When my daughter wanted out after the first classroom experience with Loree, I was ignored for weeks and then--when I insisted on a response--she talked down to me and tried to shift the blame to us. This was definitely not a good experience. Dont pay to be belittled.

I just had a Tom’s Driving Academy vehicle following me way too closely, get over with no turn signal and then get in front of me with no turn signal. For a driving academy who is supposed to teach drivers the laws of the road, they’re not doing a very good job following them.

Havent actually utilized their services, but Kathy was very helpful over the phone.

If it was just about the lessons themselves, I would have given 5 stars. Wade was a very effective teacher. He did a great job at helping me feel at ease, increasing my confidence by leaps and bounds and helping me hone a ton of essential skills. So 5 stars for Wade!The reason Im giving it 4 is that it was tricky to schedule lessons-- I got no response to 2 emails and I had to call twice before I was able to speak to someone. Once I did manage to speak to someone, they were very helpful and friendly.

I took a series of lessons from Toms Driving Academy in the fall. Im an adult learning to drive for the first time. The instruction I received was brilliant! My instructor was always extremely punctual for our lessons. She was also personable and gave calm and assertive instruction. Learning to drive later in life, I was really keen to develop skills to be a confident and defensive driver. I didnt want to be nervous behind the wheel. The instruction I received got me there and I am now a driver! I would recommend Toms Driving Academy to anyone.

I had such a wonderful experience during my private driving lessons. I was on a tight timeline as I needed to get my license to start a new job, and they were able to schedule me in immediately. The six hours of driving gave me the experience and confidence I needed in order to pass the test on my first go. Loree and Jeremy were both great, and I highly recommend both.

We went through the entire course with my youngest child this summer and it was a wonderful experience. It was worth every penny spent. Very complete course with book work, video, and practice time. I cant highly recommend Toms Driving Academy enough. Our experience was nothing but positive. I do feel like I should mention that my kid gave 100% and because she did she got so much more out of the material and practice drives than that. (If your child doesnt do the work then its on the kid, not the course.) Everyone there was very helpful at every step of the way. (I wish we had known about Toms with my older child!) Thank you everyone at Toms!

Because I failed the driving test about 6 months ago, I thought a couple of refresher lessons would be in order. My instructor, Loree, explained new laws and different things the tester might have me do. She was very comfortable to be with and helped me with confidence I needed to pass the test. The tester even commented I received from the instruction. Thank you Loree

We did not make it past sign ups for driving instruction. They force 20 families to fight over pre-determined, unpublished, immovable blocks of four mandatory drive sessions. This free-for-all format stinks, but the total lack of creativity and willingness to change the broken system to one of fairness and customer care is unacceptable.

My daughter just had 3 private lessons with Wade. I just wanted to say we are very, very, very happy with him. He really, really helped her. She is very shy and he really understood her. She learned a ton in those 3 days. I just wanted to say thanks and awesome job.

I had a great time learning with Wade. He is a very patient and an encouraging instructor. He took me on the freeway and also on the curvaceous winding roads. Wade is punctual and picked me up as well as dropped me off from my home. I would highly recommend Wade.

We have seen the reviews, the night before our tests. We almost canceled, but decided to go for it, knowing we drive well. When we, my wife and I, came in, we were greeted with smiles from the lady who tested us later on. The test was smooth, professional with constructive feedback in the end. We did pass, but that was not the factor for writing the review. The factor was to correct the wordings around the other reviews.We recommend this place for DMV driving test.

They were accommodating when I had to reschedule some classes. The instructor Jeremy is a pretty cool dude and gave some great advice.I passed my test :)

They were great ! The private driving lessons that I received from them greatly helped me with my driving skills and confidence.Nice and accommodating people.They helped me through out the process of achieving my license.They were always very patient and understanding.

If I could give no stars, I would! My son had a great driving instruction that he connected with and did fine in the classroom setting. Receiving your certificate in a timely manner is another story. If they answered the phone, they would tell you that it was in the mail and had been mailed. When I finally spoke to the owner, she was rude and full of excuses and lies. I am not the only one in this class that had this experience and would not recommend this driving academy. There are others in the area that have better reviews. Wish I would have checked before.

We have sent two boys through the program. The curriculum uses very old supporting media in the classroom. Delivery is dry but thorough. My high school boys felt like they were talked down to during classroom instruction. Poor administrative support. The set-up for arranging in-car driving lessons is left up to non-classroom instructors and is poorly managed. Overall communication needs improvement, both on the phones and with their contract employees. I would look around at other options.

I wish I could give them a zero I would. The owner is a grumpy lady and mad at the world fact you cant even talk with her. They never answer their phone calls and really hard to get a hold of. Two weeks after the class ended our son was waiting for his on certificate. I called them 4 times and never got a return phone call then when I went in the owner was grumpy said that the she email us 3 times, which we never got. Then after my wife paid she said she would mail it right away. A week and a half later we called and called about 5 or 6 times and no one called us back. We started thinking of this place might be a scam or something finally called us back and told us to come pick it up .they never apologized and didnt seem to care that the kid was waiting at the mailbox everyday for his certificate. Google Driving Academy there are different ones with better reviews

All I did was call them so I gave them their average rating not to be misleading. At present they do not offer the third party drive test for non-teenagers though maybe they will in the future.

Went there for the DMV driving test. My instructor was Loree. Her instructions were clear, and the paperwork didnt take long at all. Plus theyre open on a Saturday which means I didnt have to take a day off work. Recommended!

I went today to take my drivers test and had an awful experience. First of all, the place is EMPTY- which is never a good indication of a successful business. Second, the staff was incredibly rude. Third, they falsely accused me of driving a They did not smile or greet me and the person that drove me at all. They seemed very annoyed that we were 10 minutes late (even though we called and were very apologetic) and barely made eye contact the whole time. I had an out of state license that expired- I know how to drive and felt very good about my performance. I obeyed the speed limit, gave other drivers enough space, etc., Anyways, I was sure that I had passed. When we stopped the instructor said are you aware that you ran a red light? I WAS NOT- BECAUSE I DID NOT RUN A RED LIGHT. At one point during the test, there was a yellow light and I was too close to the intersection to brake- the instructor claimed that because I did not slam on the brakes it was considered running a red light. Wow. If I had slammed on the brakes Im pretty sure the person behind me would have rear ended us and my overweight instructor would have severe whiplash right now. The guy was in a bad mood and wanted to fail me, Im assuming because they wanted me to buy drivers lessons. Take the test at Pacific or just wait for the DMV... these guys are crooks.

I have now sent 2 children through Toms Driving school. The kids loved the driving instructors, the price was reasonable compared to other schools, and both kids are exceptional drivers. Yes, the classroom instruction was a little dry and boring, but seriously, I dont think you can do much about that! My only minor complaint is the amount of time it takes for phone calls and/or emails to be returned isnt acceptable.

I do NOT recommend this business! Unless you are requesting to sign up for classes, they do not communicate with you. They would not respond to my emails or return my telephone calls. The lack of customer service is truly overwhelming. My friend got so angry that they would not return her telephone call to answer her questions about the program, that she cancelled her daughters enrollment. Both of my children took the classroom sessions together but could not get the textbook to do the required homework until the second to the last class. Finally, it took me over a month to get my sons certificate for insurance and then it wasnt even signed! Go somewhere else!

Absolute worst customer service you could imagine! When my daughter had to sign up for the driving portion of the class she picked a set of Saturdays that worked for us. Then, 2 weeks later, Loree left an incomplete message: about the session that needs to be rescheduled. We might be able to do the original time We had no idea what she was talking about, but even after 4 phone calls we couldnt get anyone who knew what we were talking about and Loree cant be bothered to return calls. Then someone else called me to schedule a session and got mad that I couldnt look at my calendar WHILE I WAS DRIVING so she hung up on me. Now it has been 3 weeks since my daughter completed the class and we still cant get her certificate to take to the DMV. No one returns calls and they are very inconvenienced by requests, using the fact that they are overbooked as an excuse for rudeness. Do not go there if you expect courtesy and professionalism.

Teacher/coach was very good who had given me driving classes though I was not able to pass the test.

I am very disappointed that it has taken so long to get the final documentation to take to the DMV to get my sons actual drivers license. He passed the driving test in ealry November and the classroom instruction concluded 11/23/14 and we still dont have the necessary paperwork to get his drivers license. Needless to say, my son is very unhappy, as he thought he would have his license weeks ago. There has been no communication about why it is taking so long, which is adding to the disappointment.

Beware that the Classroom & Private Driving Lessons are NOT DMV Certified and ODOT Approved. This was not made clear to me either on the website or on the phone when I signed up my daughter. This has turned out to be a waste of time and money.

Went there for DMV diving test. Had a good experience.

Like other raters, we had a bad experince and they were using unsafe vehicles that smelled of gasoline (just keep the windows down, they said). Also mislead about the short class qualifying for driving credit. They also screwed up their materials by photocopying just one side of a two sided packet. All in all, they seem to be running a clown car driving school.
