Nice stadium for our Diamond Group All American Games in January of 2018. Everything was clean. Stadium gets nice and loud for every game. Beautiful background scenery. Met a few athletes that actually attend that school. Very well mannered and polite. Beautiful facility.

It was still just Basic High School when I went there, but I had wonderful high school experience at Basic. If I could go back and change anything, Id probably try and be more involved and do more. Class of 06!

As a Dad of 2 students I think Basic is a Great school, staff and most teachers are top notch, they are there for the students, school can have a small town feel even with the large number of students if you get involved through extra curricular activities. Basic still offers auto shop where they are introduced to welding, the school also has robotics, entrepreneurs class, Ap classes, cross fit and weight lifting, and to top it off they have a ski club, in the dessert. Some of the staff graduated from Basic and returned to invest into future young lives, says something about the school. My boys have attended other schools in the area and out of state, and this is the favorite. If considering attending Basic, give it a serious look, its well worth it.

As a student of Basic “Academy” I would not recommend it. The AP teachers go way too fast and don’t care if you pass the exam or not. Everyday you’ll see kids with drugs just walking around during school hours, the facutly is too busy punishing kids who are wearing earbuds or have hoods on, to focus on the real problem. The only good thing about the school is the guitar program and it’s wonderful teacher.

I had the best time in the drum line.Not to great of a time with the teachers....This was at 3 stars before I saw on the news that basic shames drop outs. Basic is the worst institution of education I have ever experienced. You need to focus on educating. Not shaming those who you failed on. This isnt right. Im going to talk to my attorney about this as it isnt right.

I always said I would not have my kids go to Basic because of its bad reputation and had my son signed up for another school until we had issues come up with Transportation so we decided to try out Basic High School. We had such an Incredible Experience with the Staff helping him get Registered last minute and LOVED the counselor who made my son very happy to be going to this School. The IB Program is so exciting and my son really likes all of his Teachers. He is on his 2nd Year at Basic and doing Fantastic. He is in Forensic Science and Physiology which will give credits for college and is in the field of what he wants to do as a Career! I am very proud of his grades and how well he has been doing since attending this school! Proud Mom and Proud we decided to give Basic a chance!!

I graduated Basic in 2016 and all I have to say is:(Cons)-When I was a sophomore the AP world Geography teacher straight up treated me like I was trash when I went to his class during nutrition break to return my textbook to him after I dropped out of his course even though I passed the first semester.-The councillor who worked with me told me she was tired of seeing me crying at her office and would make sure I was not attended if she saw me in the waiting room again.-there was hardcore bullying when I went there and a couple staff members saw and didnt do anything about it.The pros of this school that made it worth going:-the art teachers were amazing and never said discouraging words.-the English teachers from all grade levels were fantastic, they deal with so much... they really dont get paid enough.-The Jrotc program was good along with the orchestra and band programs.

I really dont know why some people have such a bad opinion with Basic when they have teachers that really care for the education of their students. I would actually highly recommend this school since they have an excellent IB program and the teachers and staff are always willing to help.

As a student at Basic high school I dont like this school at all the students are really rude all the time and they have no respect for anyone also the principal is against all LGBTQ+ students I remember last year on the last day of school I was wearing a transgender flag and he told me to take it off because it was against dress code but earlier that year I woren it several times I also tried to ask him if he was homophobic and he said no but you know all teachers have to say they arent or they get fired another time I was in the counselors office and they told me I wasnt allowed to see them anymore because my anxiety was to much for them so if youre thinking about sending your kids to Basic I segest you dont

I dont go here but I came here and sang in festival and it looks like a really nice school.

Definitely better students and atmosphere than any of the public schools in Las Vegas.
