I found this school to be.. VERY UPLIFTING,When I Walked Into. HOWEVER,To NOT HAVE a MASK MANDATE IN PLACE & The PRE-K, Kindergarten & 1st GRADE CHILDRENSSEATS PLACED FACE- 2- FACE, DURING THIS EVER- GROWING- PANDEMIC IS**EXTREMELY SCARY** For ME,AS A MOTHER OF THREE ( & WITH ME, HAVING- SEVERAL- HEALTH- ISSUES! ) πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί.ALL I Can PRAY FOR Is that they At LEAST REQUIRE the students, facility and parents to do REGULAR COVID testings!!!

Be very careful when looking into sending your child to this school. Do your due dilegence and research on the web and social media . Accusations made against some of the teachers and then Board members that the school has chosen to dismiss is frightening. Excellent education that could come at a high price if you are a female.

This school has been a huge blessing to our family! Our three boys have been able to take advantage of a wide variety of opportunities. They are involved in sports, chess club, spelling bees, government advocacy, foreign languages, and more. The teachers teach everything from a biblical perspective. The administrator is great! He knows each of the students and takes an interest in each one. It is worth every penny!

Thank you for standing strong when so many are against you! I am not much older then Maddie. What she did was very wrong. Im glad she chose life for her baby...to abort it would have been murder and yet another sin. So for the people who have praised her time and time again for keeping her baby and acting like what she did was ok--it was NOT and it was her duty to keep that innocent baby. And to some of the people who have reviews on here...1. ) What she did was against Scripture (1 Corinthians 5, 6) This is not a matter of opinion, its obeying the Bible or standing against the Bible.2.) Yes, Jesus would forgive her if she asked him (1 John 1:9)3.) There should have been consequences even if she was sorry because other teens might do the same if they saw that she got away with it. She signed a pledge and broke it.4.) And for those of you who stated the fact that Mary in the Bible was a teen mother... that is completely different situation!!!!!!! Mary was not immoral; the Baby in her womb was put there by the Holy Ghost(Matthew 1:20) and was Gods Son, Jesus. That birth-the virgin birth-was a miracle performed by God which fulfilled Old Testament prophecy ( Isaiah 7:14)( read Matthew 1, Luke 1:26-37)5.)So, while Maddie sinned, God extends forgiveness to her though his Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. I am SO thankful that she chose life for her baby, and I hope she will teach it to love Jesus and serve Him!! And to all other girls in similar situations, please choose life for your baby, regardless of the consequences.I will pray for Maddie and her babyβ™‘!Thank you Heritage for taking a stand on the Word of God!A teacher told me over and overYou can choose your sin but you cant choose your consequences.

David Hobbs and the Board of Directors at Heritage Academy should be commended on the decision they have made regarding Maddie Runkles!!! Children learn about rules at a very young age and we have rules for a life-time. Sorry, Maddie, but you broke the rules and now you are living with the decision that you made! The schools decision is totally about setting an example for all and future students!!! Thank you, Heritage Academy, for standing firmly with your decision to help future students and parents to know that you will always follow the rules!!!

It seems like people on both sides of this debate are stupid in different aspects. One side blindly ticks the box of christian as children without ever properly researching or making a decision on their own and then listens to leaders about what they should think. The other side are mainly emotional people who dont understand Christianity or the idea of private institutions. and spout out some he who is without sin cast the first stone basic quote. My own opinion is that it might of been acceptable not to let her do the graduation walk simply for PR, but the idea of not allowing her into school or holding an assembly which is basically organised mob rule was wrong.

I give this Academy five stars just because they are standing on the grounds of their beliefs and the rules and regulations of their school. After the media is involved in the student that became pregnant and was not allowed to walk her graduation walk I commend you for standing behind what the school is built on.

I am writing to commend the Heritage Academy for holding the young lady accountable for breaking her word. She agreed to the student pledge and signed her name to it. This is not about a young women getting pregnant. It is about her freely giving her word and then breaking it.

Evidently I am alone in my opinion of this situation with Maddie Runkles for the responses that I have seen. I really shouldnt be surprised because todays moral compass is less than exemplary. Anything goes anymore - for the most part we are an immoral nation. If you read the schools statement, you may have a better understanding of this situation. Maddie and her family chose to go public with this not the school. I didnt see any explanation that Maddie was raped or this was unavoidable. And the school did not call her immoral. Maddie says shes glad she decided to keep the baby. So am I and so should anyone that is a Christian. But whether or not she decided to have the baby rather than abort is not the issue. In my opinion, the school has every right to prevent her from participating in the graduation ceremony. This is a Christian school with christian standards. No where in the Bible does it permit sex outside of marriage. Yes, there is forgiveness but there are also consequences to our actions. If more schools and churches held these children accountable for their actions, maybe the anything is ok with sex mantra would change. Parents have their accountability too. Im a parent as well and I know that no matter how well the child is taught by parents, church or school, they are going to make their own decisions. But its not ok to say, oh well, you just made a mistake and allow everything to go on as normal. Yes, she should be loved and supported by her family, church and school but I believe there is a point where God says No, this is wrong changes have to be made.

In reading these comments I found it amazing that many of these comments are from those that didnt attend this school. I support the administrations decision to not allow her to cross the stage and receive her diploma. But I did not agree to force her to publicly say what she did. For that the administrator shouldve been spiritually body slammed for doing this. What he did was exactly what the pharasiees and saducees wouldve done. Plus they wouldve publicly stoned her to death. What this school did (only in my opinion) was 100% wrong. Instead of using grace what Christ did, this school principal did what the old testament pharasiees and saducees did. They emotionally stoned her in public. And that was inexcusable.Instead of practicing grace this school showed noneInstead of practicing Agape love they showedshe may have broken her contract, they broke the new testament covenant of showing Christian forgiveness. And this has nothing to do with forcing young women to get abortions. That was just assanine. Of which those comments they were talking out of.

Dear principal -β€œTo the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over themβ€”not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.”‭‭- why shut down communication with the body of Christ? We Cant encourage through phone or email- yes u need to hear from the body as we are one --Christ would bend the rule - Without a blink of an eye. its called forgiveness the number one thing Christ came to give away...and your holding to her sin...woa - to you - u without sin thro the first stone!!! The students biggest day of her life blocked?? She will soon have a much bigger day when she gives birth---- but my concern is for u board members woa woa woa-- I fear u will not be receiving you crown as this is poor poor elder guidance- missing an opportunity to be fishers of men- you are indeed LORDING IT OVER THE RUNKLES!!!! - instead of a crown not sure what you may receive the job of disposing of all teenage tears-- because there are no tears in Heaven. Why not add to rule book any student that breaks the commandment and does not honor their mother n father will be kicked out - 99% of teenagers break this one at some point youd have no students. Sin is sin sexual or a tiny fib.
