My granddaughter was bullied and made fun of at Lamar school last year. They didn’t feel the need to notify her mother, tried to take care of it themselves. She was afraid to go to school so her mother called the resource officer and that’s when she found out there was and issue. Too little too late. She doesn’t want to return to Lamar but we are having problems transferring her. Lamar was at one time the best as far as elementary schools. I don’t know what has happened but it isn’t good.

Our kids love it here and have thrived. Programs are amazing! The teachers, coaches, and program leaders truly care about the children. The Travis principal took charge of our son Coltons student career and gave him the opportunity he needed to succeed. Our other son loves Lamar and looks forward to going to school. Our oldest takes pride in his team and pushes hard to get good grades. The high school receiver coach even helped him get an athletic pass. This district cares about the kids and that is priceless.
