Drive Alert did a great job teaching my twins. They were both a little anxious about driving but Drive Alert was awesome. The classroom instruction was great. I had 2 daughters take the teen driving class. One did fine and passed the road test . The other did not pass and apparently It was for a minor mistake which would not have caused any harm. The problem is my daughter who did not pass had different instructors from the person who tested her. When I called to complain that I thought that was unfair the owner said they all teach and test the same things. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we had..... Apparently Her instructor was not certified to test. She then told me if I wanted to pay again they would allow her to retake the driver test! I had already spent over 1000.00 to get them trained, and I told her I couldnt afford to spend more money. She suggested I go to DMV.Overall I was not impressed with the fact that Drivers Alert takes no accountability for whether a student is trained or not. I never received documentation or feedback of what specifically was taught during the driver instruction time. I also had trouble getting her scheduled because the online website is not official and you have to wait to hear from them before its confirmed. They have only 3 people doing all the classes and driving time. For the money you spend its just not worth it. they also do not give any consideration or assist people who are struggling financially

Driving needs not met. We think the purpose of enrolling in a driving school is for the student to learn how to drive and not being basically told we can help you after you learn to drive. Disappointing.

Tina is amazing! My daughters took the training at Drive Alert. They have stimulators to practice on before getting behind the wheel. This gives them opportunities to practice in different road conditions that would be unsafe to take a brand new driver out in. They use the simulator to show how dangerous drunk and distracted driving are. It made a huge impression on my girls.The behind-the-wheel training is one-on-one. They spray every surface to ensure safety with Covid.They give the road test there, so the students are familiar with the car, the instructor, and the course. That really helps with test anxiety. My first daughter passed her road test on the first try, and the second is still working on her road training.I would highly recommend Drive Alert to anyone.

I would highly recommend Drive Alert! My 16 year old son just completed the Basic Driver Training course. He found the 8 hour class to be interesting and engaging. They also picked-up my child for his 6 hours of drive time. My son completed his 6 hours in two 3 hour sessions with Tina, whom he found to be friendly and very knowledgeable. She really made him feel at ease. After his last driving session he was able to complete his DMV road test, there at Drive Alert. Just an all around positive experience!!

The simulators were outdated and hardly worked. They also kept canceling and rescheduling my test and putting those who paid extra but hadn’t been waiting as long in front of me. They cancelled my first time and told me when to reschedule, then cancelled it again. I ended up calling and trying to find a new appointment, but even though they have appointment times online they cannot actually guarantee that they have availability for that time. If you say you have an appointment time online, then actually have that time available.

My son, Alijah had a great experience! He said the class was very interactive and they kept it interesting for him and the class. He enjoyed the assimilation part, they provided lunch and allowed him to take his permit on site as well!! Looking forward to the 6 hours of on the road training as well as the Alive at 25!!

With the huge number of cars on the road now, I insisted my oldest grandchild take a drivers training course before getting on the road. I checked around, and this is the only one that offers simulated screens of real driving problems. She was much more serious about the real dangers of driving after the course. She did very well, and I do highly recommend this school. They are friendly, and very professional. 5 STARS

I took the Drivers Education course, following my brother who took it years ago, and I couldnt have had a better experience. My main goal coming out of the course was to be able to have more tools to be safer on the road, and I really feel like that goal was met through the wonderful staff at Drive Alert. The instructors truly care about the safety and the wellbeing of the students, and its very, very clear that theyve had and continue to have extensive training, as well as a true care and passion for helping students to be safer and smarter while driving. I had great experiences with all of the staff and instructors, but specifically, Ms. Dodd, who was my behind the wheel instructor, was absolutely phenomenal. She really made the effort to get to know me as a person, and I had the pleasure of getting know her as well, and she is not only an incredible instructor, but a wonderful person as well. I truly couldnt have had a better Drivers Education experience, truly, and I am incredibly grateful for what all of the staff at Drive Alert have done for me! I couldnt recommend them more!! :):)

My daughter had an awesome experience. There were a few things that we had forgotten as seasoned drivers. That she was able to ‘teach’ us. She learned a lot in a short time frame and enjoyed it. With COVID-19 being a current topic Drive Alert was definitely on it. Always wearing face mask etc. which made me feel comfortable turning my new driver over to them.

Honestly at first driving was really uncomfortable for me but after I took their classes I felt very safe and in control. They are all wonderful teachers and I appreciate how they helped me and with them I passed my driving test on the first try. This was a good driving school. We had our daughter sign up for classes and the instructor was very communicative and easy to work with. My daughter took her driving test with her instructor and she felt more comfortable. He gave us feed back on how she was doing and I feel having her go through the class gave her more confidence.

Drive alert academy is an excellent resource within the greenville community for new and young teenage drivers. Ms. Dodd and her staff provide leading edge virtual training as well as hands on. The staff and experience was great and I highly recommend Drive Alert for new drivers and for point reduction.

I chose Drive Alert training because they have a stimulator. The simulator gives the student driver an idea of what its like to drive in rain, with other drivers, etc before they get behind the wheel. This boosted my daughters confidence tremendously. I plan on using Drive Alert when its time for my next two daughters to learn how to drive as well.

The employees are very professional and work to make sure you feel comfortable behind the wheel. They encourage questions and want to make sure you aren’t taken by surprise by what they expect on the road test. As a nervous beginner, I appreciated how much my instructor worked with me to help ease my anxiety and outlined the expectations for the road test.

Great workshop for the AAA program. Tina and Sheena are both very calming presences, and clearly explain the content. I took my drivers test with Tina when I was getting my license, and she helped me be far less nervous. I highly recommend Driver Alert for anyone needing a driver related lessons or test.

I first got my permit when I was 15, which was nearly 4 years ago. It wasn’t until today, a week before I move in to my new home in Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida that I was able to get my license, all of which is thanks to the Drive Alert staff. The staff at Drive Alert are all extremely friendly, accommodating, and eager for you to succeed. The simulators used in the classroom are helpful in preparing for worse case scenarios that might be seen on the road. I took my driving lessons with Mr. Harold, who I found to be one of the best teachers (and I’ve had several)! Mr. Harold provided me with neat tips and tricks to get the job done and help me to operate a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. Through this experience with Mr. Harold and the rest of the Drive Alert staff, I FINALLY got my license and can drive, but more importantly learned how to do so the right and safe way! I would recommend any beginning drive to complete the course and driving lessons through this company!

The staff at Drive Alert was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The 8 hour class room session my daughter took there was very detailed and hands on with use of the driving simulators. She learned a lot! She took all of the driving hours with David and he was awesome! My daughter and my husband and I felt very comfortable with him. He was very easy to work with and talk to. He worked with our many schedules to ensure she got all of her hours in. He also gave us very helpful feedback to work with our daughter on between driving sessions. Basically, he gave us homework. David also administered her road test. Again, she was very comfortable taking the test with him and she passed! I highly recommend Drive Alert to anyone who’s looking for a professional, thorough driving school.

Our three younger children have been through the Drive Alert program for their permits and license. Their program is definitely oriented to the student and family. They note the areas that need to be worked on with the parents and then address those areas with the driving sessions. The permit and license test is very non-stressful for the student since they have been with the instructors and feel comfortable with them. And the simulators that Drive Alert has help reinforce checking blind spots and other necessary points.

I signed up for the class in early January. It is now March. I have still not received my license. They have rescheduled my test multiple times. If you would like to receive your restricted license in a timely manner this is not the class for you. I have been patient for too long. This is getting out of hand. I would love to see my money wasted handed back to me. I will not recomend this class to anyone.

I took this course to get my points back on my license. That is all i intended to happen. But i actually learned a whole lot. I wasnt too fond of the accident stories but thats part of driving education. As far actual knowledge i learned more than 3 things during the class. That paid in itself for the class. But to know what i learned, youll have to go see Mrs. Tina yourself!The instructor Mrs. Tina is awesome. Very personable and passionate about her work.

After my first two attempts on the road test failed, my parents and I concluded that I probably needed more practice before going to the DMV a third time. At this point I had been driving with my permit for more than a year, (I know, I know) and the fact that I wasnt ready after all that time flushed my confidence down the toilet. I booked my first private lesson with the attitude that there was no way I could improve my skills. However, after that first hour of practice and the emotional support given by my instructor, I felt that maybe the third time was the charm. Sure enough, after one more drive to solidify my understanding, I passed. Without the help of my instructor David and Drive-Alert as a whole, I still wouldnt be holding my licence right now. It was all thanks to their professionalism and the you can do this attitude that they pressed upon me each time I visited them. I highly recommend Drive-Alert to any new drivers who feel their confidence may not be up to par, as well as those who want a friendly environment to learn in. I certainly wish I started my training with Drive-Alert from the beginning!

What an amazing experience! I just sent my teen daughter through this course and I was blown away. Having researched other companies, I was really impressed with how much more was included in this course - above and beyond driving skills. For instance, simulators. No other company in SC even has them, and they allow the kids to learn the dangers of texting and driving as well as practicing in different driving conditions. Also, the impairment googles exercise shows them how your vision is affected at different alcohol levels. Incredibly valuable. Ive heard from other kids how boring the 8-hour class was in the other courses - but my daughter said hers was really fun and that she gained a lot of confidence just from that class.But as a parent, I have to say the complimentary pick-up and drop-off was my favorite - saved me a ton of time and scheduling. Amazing customer service. Stellar instruction (that teaches kids to have serious respect for driving). And more bang for my buck. Thats as good as it gets.
