After School Karates Hapkido Adult program has transformed my life. At 64 years old and 245 lbs, I was skeptical about joining such a physical program. I couldnt even do ONE situp. After 2 years, I can easily do 100+ situps, plus Ive lost over 25lbs and Ive gained critical self-defense skills that will protect myself and my family. Master Reid and Instructor Scales are skilled and patient teachers guiding the students through the Hapkido program. I highly recommend After School Karates Hapkido program.

My son has been taking evening Hapkido classes at After School Karate for just over a year. I simply cannot say enough about what these classes have done for him. Instructor Scales and Master Reid are incredible instructors and role models. He is not only learning the physical component of martial arts, but they also stress the importance of respect, kindness, education and good citizenry. I overheard a recent class where Instructor Scales broadened a discussion about breakfalls to pushing yourself in life in general to see what you can achieve. For a child like mine who sometimes lacks the confidence to try new things, these lessons are priceless. I recently enrolled in the adult program. Although still quite new and utterly clueless, with Master Reids guidance, I cannot wait to see the progress that I will make over the coming years.

My kids have learned so much with this program. Not just hapkido but also discipline and integrity, among others. Trent Reid and the rest of the team are the best you will find in the upstate!
