Thanks to the challenging academics at Wellspring, Im well equipped and prepared for the rigorous courses Im in at Calvin College. Sure, there is a large homework load for 4 years, but it very much prepared me for the amount of work I receive in college. As for the other aspects of Wellspring, I can say that high school was solid. The friends I made over the years there are some of the best people I know and Im very close with them. The teachers truly care about your well being and are very understanding individuals. This whole idea of a real high school is overrated; I believe that Wellspring was just as real as any other high school. Just because we had uniforms and still dont have as many sports as other high schools doesnt mean it cant be a great experience. As long as you make the best out of everything, you will have at least a decent experience in high school. I do have my complaints about Wellspring, but they are mostly overlooked by the amazing people Ive met and the preparation it gave me for college. Your education is important and Wellspring does a phenomenal job at recognizing that while giving you opportunities to get involved in other activities.

My daughter graduated last year and my son is a sophomore. They have thrived at this school. The staff are very caring. My daughter was challenged to her academic ability and entered college as a sophomore and totally prepared! It is not a place for kids who have no interest in going to college or working to get there. Staff offer great support to kids who struggle but are willing to make the effort.

This school is the absolute best school ever! I finally get to wear the same clothes as every body else so Im not made fun of! Teachers really do love reminding you to tuck in your shirt all the time, I love it when they remind me too. Im always ready for this school. I love having to take AP classes. they really help get me far in life. And I also love having to do 60 hours of volunteer work to graduate from Wellspring Preparatory High School™. The teachers are especially nice. Other than the food being slightly different I think its an amazing school for young whippersnappers or deranged water bottles. Id give it a 6/9

The teachers are horrible. They care only about their pay checks than what they are actually teaching you. The band teacher has that fake nice mentality. He will tell you you are not good at your instrument then say something along the lines of it doesnt bother me I just want you to fix it. They love to leave you in the dust if you dont understand something too. The way of teaching is crazy, in history, for example, you are asked to read a document and write a summary about it instead of that being in English class. The people are very self centered. I can say that I have made some very good friends though. Dress code is crazy, no colored shoes, shirts must have collars, no boots in winter, belts must be correct color, no sweaters ( even though there is no heating), shirts must be tucked in. They are much more focused on what type of navy blue you wear than people bulling others. They do not care about personal problems, if you have depression or things along that line, they tell you to get over it (at least that what the band teacher and principal told me). I honestly would be ashamed to say I graduated from this school.

We have a daughter graduating this year and a son who will be a freshman this fall. We have been impressed with staff and appreciative of their level of commitment and communication. Wellspring does an excellent job of preparing their students for college and then taking them, and their parents, through the process of applying. We like the diversity of the student body and believe it prepares our children to live in the world and to appreciate how those of other races and religions view it.

At least of 2014, Wellspring is an excellent, highly achieving school filled with amazing teachers who try to get you to where you need to be. If youre failing or not getting a class you are taking, you can talk to your advisory teacher and they can help you with whatever. The teachers are really nice and funny (there arent many boring classes here), and the students, for the most part, are quality friends. Its also a very rigorous school, which is what colleges look at, and you take at least 2 AP classes. There are many benifits to this school, and I think its worth 5 stars.

Wellspring is a wonderful school. The staff is amazing. I currently have a junior and a senior at the school. We could not be happier with the education they are receiving, and I know they will be more than prepared for college. If you are a part of the NHA schools this is just a wonderful extension of these amazing charter schools.

Wellspring is a great place for those who actually care about their education, the teachers genuinely care about the students and their problems. However, the school is quite challenging and it takes a level of resolve to get through it. Yet anyone who tries their hardest and keeps up with their work is rewarded with a great environment and a top-notch education. Most of the students who talk badly about the school are the ones that dont actually try, and are stunned to find that their lack of effort reaps no rewards. If youre considering sending your child there, make sure that they will do their best, its worth the work.

My daughter is a sophomore at Wellspring. We have been very pleased with the quality of education, the caring teachers and the diversity of students. She has been challenged academically and has commented on how supportive and caring the teachers. I would definitely recommend checking out this high school.

I could probably say I met some of the best people and teachers at this school, some of which is true. But I also know that at this school, I was treated as a number. All that was cared about was if we got good grades, not if we were actually learning our material. And another as a graduated senior, from a COLLEGE PREP school, I can say I am in no way shape or form prepared for college. I have no idea what Im doing with my financial aid, loans or anything else. But dont worry because in my COLLEGE ADVISORY class I learned about moral focus. So now I know about respect, compassion, and whatever else they shoved down our throat. Because that was more important. I wish I could say that I had a great high school experience but I didnt. My teachers cared more about the kids that were passing than those that were struggling. Several times a week I would find myself crying in an AP class because I had no idea what I was doing, and yet my teacher would not slow down, but instead get mad when we said we did not understand because it was our own fault. I would never send my children to this school, because although stress is common among high school students, the stress that is caused by this school is too much for anyone. Most things students teach themselves without much teacher aid, or even aid from a textbook because we dont have those. If the school focused more on the students and less on their appearance, maybe it would thrive better. It has become a school for any kid of the street, whereas when it set out it was for those who cared about their education. I am glad that my 4 years here are done, because they were the most miserable years of my life.

I went to this school for two years and it was absolute hell. The kids and teachers were extremely full of themselves and constantly thought they were better then others. The rules were absurd and the principal was insane, sitting in his office and watching us on the cameras 24/7. I wore colorful shoe laces one day and was told to take them off. Even though they are publicly funded they act as if they are privately funded. Students are forced to take AP classes and to get into a college before they graduate (community college does not count). I became extremely depressed at this school, and would NOT recommend anyone going there. I feel for anyone forced to go to this school. Please do not send your kids here.

I honestly thoroughly enjoyed this school! The school is small enough that you dont just feel like a number in a statistic, but each teacher takes special interest in their students. This, along with the challenging academics, is why our students succeed at such a high level. If any student needs help there are always ways to get one on one work time with a teacher, and I love it! The theory of our uniforms causing students to perform at higher levels might not be based up by facts, but our statistics definitely show high levels of educations so PrepNet must be doing something well! I have heard rumors that our students arent the best classmates, but in my experience everyone at Wellspring Prep is open and fun loving! Our pep rallies and student events are top notch, our teachers and staff are always there for you and take there job seriously, the athletic, drama, and music department is growing into one of the better in the state for our level, the education of Wellspring Prep is the best you can get, and also your classmates are true of heart and friendship. If you are looking for a school that will help prepare you for the next big step in your life than go no further. Wellspring is surely the right choice for you.

This school does not have the best students. Some of these students arent even paying attention. The teachers at this school do not know how to get the students attention or know how to control their class some of the time. Not the best school choice but better than most
