Just recently tagged along with my granddaughter to visit the school, she will be starting next week. The place is beautiful, the staff were pleasant and everything looked clean. They gave the new students a terrific welcome orientation, they obviously put in the extra effort to make these kids feel excited about their new classes! My granddaughter has a friend that recommended this school to her and I saw first hand why. Her friend has already graduated and is working in a salon, impressive young lady.

This place is beautiful inside. The students take a little longer but you are helping them learn and practice; therefore, you are rewarded by paying less for your service. The instructors walk around and check on students, ask if they need help and correct if need be. I was happy with the outcome and tipped on what the haircut would have cost me elsewhere

I honestly have not one good thing to say about this school. The owner cares only about money and the school just seems like a burden to her which is funny because its how she has the ability to live so lavish. Youd think a little effort would be put in. The lack of consistency is outrageous. Within the time I attended PB I had over 6 teachers. They all continued quit due to the drama, and lack of professionalism. Students are told about stupid rules that aren’t even enforced after a week passes. How do these people expect respect when all they do is disrespect students. Students constantly speak about their experiences and how they feel at school and it’s totally ignored. Progress reports are always days late/ containing incorrect information. How do students track their progress if progress reports aren’t even right? The late policy is constantly changing and nobody even knows whats going on EVER. The dress code policy is constantly changing. When students start they are told rubber shoes all black. Then after months they are randomly told the crocs nurses wear aren’t good enough? The only front desk girl who knows what shes doing is Jennifer. The office staff are constantly making mistakes or ignoring students when they request to meet with them. It literally takes 2 months to schedule written exam because sophia is always busy screwing up progress reports or entering hours incorrectly. I advise anyone who wants to go to cosmetology school that they should definitely not even tour this place.

0 out of 10 for a school. School overall is run horrendously, with the owner of the school being invested too much in personal affairs to care and take time for the students(drives her new lexus in style though). Administration doesnt follow rules or a rubric when it comes to disciplining students fairly, and doesnt care if you have it hard outside of school. Think of this place like your are flushing your money down the toilet. For example, an instructor who has been there for several years colored multiple students hair the wrong color and didnt care to try and fix it. The school has the gall to try and charge students for products used, when half the time the school is understocked on everything! School has a clear problem in keeping above average teachers long term(3 have left in the time I have attended). School is out for your money! They could care less about the education. Classes are said to follow the same curriculum, but ask any students from different classrooms, they dont. The school also doesnt work or put forth any effort with students when it comes to trying to solve any issue. Multiple occasions where staff has used phrases like, Not my job or Theyll deal with it later. This school is more concerned with making themselves look pretty on the tours for new possible students, than making the students they already have feel like its enjoyable to go there. The school charges right now 18k for the cosmetology program. Maybe if they took the time to hire competent teachers, I would feel better giving them that in full. This place is facing 3 lawsuits right now and I can truthfully say theyll be facing one more in the coming future. For anyone who wants to find a school that cares about you and not your money, keep looking because this place is not it!

I would question the integrity of this school and based on my personal experience with their educators and the staff. First, the teachers (and teachers helper) do not make transitioning easy. Understandable they have an agenda to follow but seemed overwhelmed with the amount of curriculum and rules they need to follow. Next, the favor certain students. I, Myself walked through the classroom door at the time of instruction and was asked to leave for the day meanwhile the person that walked behind me was not asked to leave even though the teacher seemed to be convicted for her poor judgement. Last, they look for any sorts of conflict between the class and classrooms. They pride themselves with being one of the best cosmetology schools but with a weak student body. Please choose schools wisely, do not waste your money because it seems convenient. School should be fun and a healthy atmosphere, does not meet higher education values. My opinion.

I took my 89 year old Mom to get her hair cut and blown dry at PB Cosmetology Education Center’s Salon today. We were greeted warmly at the front desk by receptionist I’m Jennifer Gallo. The students were all professional and courteous. Veteran Teacher, Denise Randon cut my Mom’s hair in a cute short bob after a nice scalp massage and shampoo.I had my hair washed, blown out (Dyson Blowdry) and curled by an awesome Senior Student and was amazed at her knowledge and technique! The school is surrounded by gorgeous flowers, plants, trees even hydrangeas and just as modern and beautiful inside. We will be back to PB’s Beauty Salon in two weeks for my mother’s color!

Thank you PB Beauty School for sending amazing volunteers to do the hair and makeup for Penn Charity Fashion Show models (and the committee members). Stephen Scull was such a pleasure to work with and all the volunteers and instructors helped make our models look fabulous for the show! THANK YOU! Would highly recommend PB Beauty to any events looking for hair and makeup support!

This school was run very poorly while I attended as a skin care student from 2017-2018. The overall experience was very disappointing and highly frustrating. My time at this school was disorganized and inconsistent. I constantly felt uniformed and, when I was able to get information, misinformed. I was disappointed that some features of the program that were advertised during my tour of the school were not delivered upon or required my asking several people several times in order to receive. I often felt like getting things done for myself at this school was like pulling teeth.Additionally, there was a lot of confusion and drama with the school and its staff during my attendance, during which the owner failed to reach out and let us know what was going on in any capacity. As a result of staff turnover and internal issues, I do feel that my class and I were not properly educated and supported by the school as we finished out our course. Turnover and drama in beauty schools is not uncommon; however, the school should have been able to handle it without letting an entire class quality of education and attention suffer. It was just a mess and a messy time. All in all, I would not recommend this school for these reasons.

I loved going to school here. Of course it was, what feels like, 100 years ago. I had great educators and the director was awesome! I made friends that I still have today. And although, Im not in the beauty industry anymore, I still use my talent to do hair for friends and family (and my license is current :0).

School has undergone a complete cosmetic update and it looks phenomenal! (Even better than some high end salons that I have been to.) The school has amazing teaching staff that oversees students on the clinic floor, so even though you are seeing a student for services, you always have piece of mind knowing that a licensed professional hairstylist is right there for any questions that the student may have. The school always continually brings in guest artists to keep students ahead of the latest trends, and keep them inspired and motivated! Bravo PB!

Okay so I am a freshman in high school and when I become older I want to enroll in the career of psychology and cosmetology and i want to be an entrepreneur in both of those majors. And i found colleges that does Business and Psychology so therefore I will be able to get my degree in both at one time. But I dont know where I can be able to get my degree/License in cosmetology (Hair design/brading and barbering) and none of my family members or friends that I know of can help me out with this situation so if I enroll myself here in my freshman or sophomore year will i be able to get my license for cosmetology and start my career on the right track?

There is some SHADY stuff that goes on at this school. They are partaking in illegal activities and stealing money from students. Some of the teachers arent even licensed or hold expired licenses. My sister was financially tormented by this school, receiving random bills for thousands of dollars, which, thanks to good record keeping, we proved she did not owe. Do not go here unless you want to be completely scammed.

The best school in south jersey!! This school is family owned and operated for 60 years. All of the staff take ownership and value. The success of the students at the end of the day is truly the Mager concern of the the institution . The student experience and education trumps all of south jersey schools!! This school has soo much HEART, 1000’s of students over the years have become so successful because of the guidance and support they received at PB .Hands down !! ❤️❤️ one of the best features of the the school is there State Board preparation, the students are trained to be the best they can be through the guidance of well trained educators who train them to pass their written and practical exams for licensure in the state of New Jersey. Along with field trips and competitions throughout the course. Always making it a great experience !! Education all the way!!

I am very disapointed from my experience from the color to the cut. I even came with a picture of what i wanted. Now i knew before hand that i wouldnt be able to get exactly what i wanted but i told them that i did not want it any shorter than the picture. I am very upset, not at the stylist, she stopped at the lenth i eanted but the instructor came over and had her take more off. I questioned it and she said oh its not short. I reached around and felt the little bit of hair that was left in the back and when i said it was too short the instrutor got into my face and scorned me like i was a child and said givr a chance. I can barely get it in a ponytail i am so upset right now. I will never go back nor will i ever recomend this place to anuone as long as this instructor is there. She had no right to eben talk to a cuatomer that way. She should be a little more understanding when a customer is not happy with the outcome.
