In looking for a school for our daughter I was very picky about where she would go. I have very high expectations after working in the field of childcare and Montessori and want the best for my daughter. When we toured Spondeo Montessori I knew it was the school for her and one I would feel safe sending her to. The toddler classroom was peaceful and calm. The children were all happy and engaged in their work. The lead teacher Ms. Meena was happy to answer all of my questions and even sent me some photos on her first few days to help ease my mind that she was happy and doing well. She has been attending now for 6 weeks and she loves going to school. We have already seen so much growth in her and we are so happy we made the choice to send her to Spondeo. If you are looking for a school with high quality education in a serene, safe, and loving environment Spondeo has it all.

Both of our children attend Spondeo and started young in the toddler program. We have had nothing but a beautiful experience with Spondeo and our children have truly flourished with the guidance of their amazing teachers and assistants. In the beginning when I first decided to put our daughter into a toddler program I searched, researched, and toured numerous places before Spondeo and each place I went...just didn’t feel “right”. I was that “first time new mom” hunting for a school that had both a toddler program and preschool and wanted to find the perfect place for my little that would bring me comfort and ease the “new mom” worry. The minute I walked into Spondeo I knew I found the place I had been searching for all along. I can honestly say both of our children are excited to go to school every day, they never fight me in the mornings or get sad. When the day comes that our children age out of Spondeo, we will all be sad as we will be leaving a part of our family behind, but I am so thankful to have found such an amazing place for our children.

We fell in love with Spondeo on our tour! We loved seeing how the staff encourages children to truly enjoy learning. Allowing the children to choose what they want to play with and not interrupting the critical focus they are demonstrating. You can feel the staff genuinely loves guiding the children, it is not just a job to them. The room is calm and peaceful with positive speaking. We kept in close contact with Mrs. Jill the director after our tour, asking any additional questions we could come up with. She is incredibly patient, answered every question we had and was quick to respond. We signed up our daughter for T, W, TH which is another hard thing to find with preschools. She is in school half days drop off between 7:00a.m.-8:00a.m. I pick her up at 11:45a.m. after lunch. Our childs teacher Mrs. Robin is incredible! Our daughter immediately felt comfortable with her during the student teacher meeting. Our daughter even gave a big hug at the end of her meeting. The school is like its own community and allows the families to be involved. Sign ups for snack, helping in the classroom, bringing in a small lesson to teach the class. Grandpa (retired engineer) goes every month and teaches a lesson on science. We also like parent night out where the kids come to school in the evening wearing pjs. The kids eat together and watch a move while us parents get to have a date night. Last but not least parent ed night is amazing! We enjoy learning and bettering our families life. The teachers have a presentation for the parents every month on a topic and answer all questions.

We started our son at Spondeo when he was 2. As a stay-at-home mom, I had not originally imagined I would enroll him in preschool so young but it was clear to me that his emerging social development needed more opportunities for nurturing than I was able to provide him at home, even with the most creative and resourceful of parenting. Nevertheless, the decision was a tough one so I took extensive time researching and interviewing schools. Most of what I found fell short of my goals. Either the school was a glorified daycare, or it was overly focused on academics, treating 2 year olds as pre-K students. Learning is important, absolutely, but at 2, I was far more concerned that my son be in an environment that focused on cultivating his social maturity and confidence. The ABCs will come, they always do, but learning how to be a harmonious part of a whole made up of peers his age was my goal. Having Montessori experience in his background, my husband suggested that we look there and that is when I learned about Spondeo. Instantly I knew wed found it. The school had an energy that was missing from the other places I had observed. Children were excited to be there! They were working independently and at their own pace. Most importantly, they were respected as people with valuable ideas of their own. Yet, given all that freedom, I was astounded at how well managed, organized, and harmonious each classroom was. Having no personal experience with Montessori values, it was easy to imagine freedom within boundaries meant one child would be painting the walls with mud while another was doing an interpretive dance with the glitter can in the corner. Rather that, what I observed was a warm, loving environment where children were respected, where they were expected to respect others, where they were working curiously with their hands, where learning happened naturally through exploration, and where abstract concepts became concrete through thoughtfully designed activities. In the 19 months weve been at Spondeo, our experience has only bolstered my impression that first day. Our son has absolutely flourished during his time here and it has been extraordinarily rewarding watching his confidence grow, friendships develop, and love of learning emerge. Miss Patty, his current teacher, has a brilliant way of relating to her students as individuals, learning what motivates them and using that understanding to encourage their best effort and participation. We are so happy at this gem of a school and cannot say enough about it!

We love Spondeo! Our son attended for three years before starting Kindergarten and our daughter is currently attending and has been at the school for nearly 18 months. She started in the Toddler room and transitioned to the Primary classroom in October. All of the lead and assistant teachers for both of my kids have been amazing. We have always felt that they were in a safe, nurturing, clean and educational environment. Initially we had our daughter at a different school, only because it was a much shorter commute and Spondeo was full at the time, and she was only there a short period of time before we pulled her out of that school and immediately got on the wait list for Spondeo. In that process we also toured many other schools across the East Valley and can speak to the fact that Spondeo is unique in the culture they have built and the environment that they foster. We highly recommend Spondeo to anyone that we know. I will also add thatSpondeo does a great job of fostering community with the parents too, by offering educational presentations and other relevant information. We couldnt be happier with our experience at this school.

My daughter has been attending Spondeo for almost 2 years and we love it! We feel at home there and the staff is so welcoming and always willing to talk and answer questions. My daughter has flourished here and will be ready for kindergarten next year. We will also be sending my son here soon and we know he will be in good hands. I can’t recommend this school enough!!

We have two boys currently ages 2 & 5 that have both been at Spondeo since they were 3 months old. My wife and I cannot say enough great things about this school and the amazing staff. Our boys have flourished because of this great school and do not feel there is a better education and experience for our kids anywhere. Our 5 year old has now transitioned to public schools in Kindergarten and has quickly become a leader among his peers. Highly recommend Spondeo!

All three of my kids went and 2 still are in Spondeo, and we can say with great confidence that we all grew as a family, by having the right people taking good care of our kids. Montessori philosophy is great but without the right people it will stay just a philosophy. Love and devotion to each child and each child own needs is at Spondeo core. Thank you Spondeo staff!

Before Spondeo, our family knew very little about the Montessori philosophy. And while we still do not follow Montessori to a “T” at home, we couldn’t be more grateful that our daughters (one who is now 5 years old and was at Spondeo since she was 9 weeks old! And the other who is 2.5 years old and also been there since she was 10 weeks old) are experiencing Montessori in the environment Spondeo provides. It has been fabulous to see our oldest daughter develop and become such an independent, kind, and thoughtful human being, much of which we believe we owe to Spondeo and its staff. While the price tag and days closed for school observances is extremely HIGH (compared to other preschools) and Spring/Fall/Winter breaks are never guaranteed, we look at it as an investment in our daughters’ future and successful developmental needs. As a parent, the thing I like most about this school compared to other Montessori schools (many of which we toured and decided against or have good friends who attend the other well-known Montessori schools in the area) is the down-to-earth, approachable staff. And as with every other school, there are bound to be various challenges everyone will experience when sending their kids outside the home; however, I never feel as if I can’t talk to my daughters’ teachers about concerns or requests for their individual situations from day to day. I love that I can always reach out to the teachers to the other parents to the school director without feeling like I’m bothering them or being a nag (usually). They always make time for me and listen to feedback. Spondeo really has come to feel like part of our family and that we have become part of theirs. ❤️And coming from someone with extremely high expectations in general and even higher expectations for their kids, nothing makes me happier than seeing my child thriving (developmentally), enjoying her friends at school, and observing the personal care, attention, and genuine interest the staff has with our daughters. Thank you, Spondeo!

We started my son at Spondeo when he turned 3 years old. My husband was raised attending montessori schools and we toured several schools around the area. Some of which as my husband noted were montessori in name only and didnt really follow the ideas behind the teaching method. My son really flourished at Spondeo and was able to learn at his own rate and level (ahead of the usual curriculum). We kept him at Spondeo for his kindergarten year where he really did well with being more of a leader in the classroom and helping with his classmates. My daughter started in the infant room at Spondeo at around 12 weeks old. She was a bit difficult and fussy as a baby, but the staff was always loving and caring with her and great with communication with me. She is now in the primary classroom and a happy girl learning and observing all of the time.We love the teachers and community at Spondeo. Every teacher we have had (and there is occasional turnover like most schools) has been wonderful and we have always felt like our children have been loved, well cared for, and thriving in the environment.

We love Spondeo. It is a great environment for learning and early childhood development. Our daughter is learning so much (reading at 3.5 years old) and having a wonderful time in the process. The teachers and staff are fabulous. Its clean and well-kept, including the kitchen. Everyone knows everyone. Spondeo is like an extended family. Weve been there for two years and are very happy.

We love Spondeo! Both of our boys have gone through the 3+ years both in the primary classroom and our youngest also did a year in the toddler class. The big draw for us was their Montessori curriculum, our children both with different personalities and gifts have flourished in this environment. Spondeo has helped them build a foundation of independence, pride in their work and most importantly to us a great love of learning and school. Our youngest commented one day walking in that his classroom feels like another home to him, and as a parent it warms my heart he is so comfortable with his school family. We have had great experience with all the teachers and assistants over the years, they are all very loving and take the time to truly get to know each individual child and their unique gifts. One of the first things I noticed when touring the school 5 years ago was how calm a classroom with 15-20 students all doing different activities could be. Part of this is due to the nature of the Montessori philosophy where the children are highly engaged in their work but this is also due to the calm, professional demeanor the teachers model. Judy, the owner of the school, has also been wonderful to our family over the years, she is very passionate about child development and education and cares a lot about the families and school community.A couple other highlights I love about the school outside the typical benefits of Montessori:1) School lunches- this is optional, some kids bring their own lunch, but the school provides a great nutritious lunch that we had opted-in for. This had a dramatically positive impact on our picky eater, things he would have never tried at home he not only would eat at school but overall it broadened his palate and made him more adventurous in trying new tastes.2) Uniforms- At first I was turned-off by having to put a preschooler in a uniform, however I now cant imagine not doing uniforms. It helps the kids to be independent dressers and there are zero conflicts in the mornings about what they can wear.3) Flexible program options- Spondeo has one of the most flexible options in terms of number of days to attend and Full Day/Half Day/ Aftercare options. We also like the generous before-school early drop-off and also nice that you dont have to commit aftercare but can use as-needed. Judy was wonderful working with us when we had a family medical issue and needed to temporarily adjust schedules for a few months.

This is hands down the BEST preschool in Gilbert. Professional teachers, wonderful environment, nutritious healthy meals! The concepts and learning principals that our child has experienced at Spondeo are light years beyond what we experienced at others schools in the area. We are delighted each day to hear about what they have learned. We know our child is getting an amazing foundation that will serve them throughout their education. I would without hesitation recommend Spondeo and I cannot wait to enroll our youngest there as well!

We loved everything about this school and the concept of their teaching style. But after enrolling our child we learned one of their teachers has made it publicly known she has multiple mental illnesses.Although we dont have any issues with her working in education, we feel that working with toddlers who are unable to communicate efficiently or possess the awareness to remove themselves from a potentially toxic environment is not the right fit for our daughter. Our daughters safety and well-being is our number one priority so we felt it was best to withdraw her from this school.

We were really excited to find this school because we love the concept of a Montessori school. Unfortunately, not all the teachers are certified and the school doesnt do a thorough investigation on their teachers. We discovered something concerning about one of our daughters teachers that could potentially be harmful to her safety. When we brought it to the owners and directors attention they just sent a basic email not addressing our concerns. Our daughters safety and well-being is our number one priority so we felt it was best to withdraw her from this school. We found a better school with certified teachers, much closer to home and a better fit for our daughter.

Spondeo preschool has been a wonderful, supportive and caring environment for my daughter to learn and grow. This is her second year at Spondeo and she has thrived with their caring teachers and Montessori methods. At Spondeo, my daughter has learned to work independently, help others, and follow her interests. She loves going to school each day. They offer a wonderful after-care program with sports, dance, yoga and play. This year, they have even offered a Spanish immersion program to help expose the students to new languages. I like how they involve the entire family in many activities throughout the year to create a real sense of community. I feel confident that my daughter is getting the best foundation for her education in an environment where she feels supported, loved, and challenged to be her best.

Our daughter started at Spondeo when she was 18 months old and has THRIVED in this environment over the last year-and-a-half. Not only have we been completely happy with the quality of the teachers and staff, but the level cleanliness and care in the school is second to none. Our daughter attends three days a week and will likely be going five days next year. Our youngest daughter is also signed up to begin the 18-month class next summer. We took advantage of the schools provided lunch program and have piece of mind knowing that shes not only getting served healthy meals, but also a variety cuisines. Shes always excited going to school and talks about it endlessly after pick up. Spondeo does an amazing job in keeping families involved with on-and-off-site school activities, which really helps in getting to know the entire Spondeo community. I would recommend starting here if youre searching for a pre-school - nothing compares!

I have a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter at Spondeo and we absolutely love it! When we started there a year ago, my son was having a really hard time with transitions- not just from home to school but with transitioning between activities at home as well. I told his teachers and not only did they work with him at school, but they gave me pointers to use at home as well. Today, he barely even said goodbye to me at dropoff and couldnt wait to go to school! My kids have both matured immensely since Spondeo. They have become kinder and more self-aware. Judy has been a sounding board for me about some issues I have been having with my son being a perfectionist and being really hard on himself. She gave me specific things to model at home and some suggestions on how to help him. After taking her advice, I have seen such an improvement in my son and in our relationship! I feel I can talk to anyone who works at Spondeo about anything kid-related and I always leave the conversation feeling like I have learned something. This is a very special school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for high quality care and education for their child!

My son started in Spondeos infant program when he was 7 months old. We selected Spondeo because of their low 3:1 ratio in the classroom and because we like the Montessori style of learning, but after 3 months it was time to find another school. On a typical Thursday, I dropped my son off at 7 am, and when I returned to pick him up at 4:30 that afternoon he was fussy and began really crying when I picked him up, which is uncharacteristic of him. After a few moments of troubleshooting, I found that he had not been offered one of the three bottles I sent him to school with. Granted, he had been fed a limited amount of solids and water during the day, but he was deprived of his primary source of nutrition and hydration for over 9 hours. His normal teachers were in the room that day, and they had the same number of children that they always do. It absolutely broke my heart that my son had been starving all day. The teachers and director could not provide me with any even remotely acceptable reason for the negligence. The teachers simply forgot to feed my infant. Absolutely unacceptable.Prior to this incident, my husband had been generally disappointed with the lack of communication from the teachers and by how consistently disheveled he looked at pick up (dry, crusty food or snot on this face, stained clothing). We rarely received feedback on what our son was doing during the day, when his teachers changed his routines, or his day to day disposition. Negligence aside, this was not what we had expected from such an expensive school, .

My son started at another local preschool (many years ago before Spondeo started taking infant/pre-Montessori children). Once he was old enough to enroll, he started attending Spondeo. While we were not dissatisfied with the original preschool, Spondeo blew it away. The curriculum, materials used, and teacher are simply the best. The campus is also awesome because they have a great Outdoor Learning area which, in this day and age of always being connected, is overlooked as part of a balanced learning environment. My son (who is now at an elementary school) loves to learn and is a great leader in his classroom. My daughter, who started Spondeo in the pre-Montessori at around 15 months, also loves the school and is doing great. She is learning so much. Plus, they just started a bilingual classroom! Overall, we have had one of our kids attending Spondeo for the last 4 years and we think it is a great school. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a First-Rate preschool.

A couple years ago my son was involved in a Montessori program that seemed like a good learning environment unitl we got word of some staff turnover and the owners son bullying our child. This prompted us to look into a better preschool environment for our son and younger ones regarding an early learning environment such as Montessori schooling. Let me tell you our prayers were answered after doing some research and finding Spondeo Preshool! This is a very professional environment that always puts the child and their parents first in customer service and learning. From weekly update reports on our child to fun interactive social events for parents and kids this place gets an A+ from a Behavioral Optometrist who understands how important learning is for a child during the critical development of a childs mind from 1-8 years old. You cant go wrong with Spondeo Preschool.

I worked here, and then quit after a grand total of 4 days. The director is the least professional director Ive ever come across and does not abide by state licensing rules. Please, find a school for your children where the director is less concerned about her self-image and more concerned about following state ratios.
