Well this school is pretty good school I met a lot of teachers that are pretty cool. Mrs.vail is like the best teacher at the school and I cant wait to see her when school starts back. The principal is amazing to he pretty funny.i met a lot of cool students there. The teaching is amazing too. I feel like Sam Houston is probably one of the best middle schools in Garland except for all the fight that goes on there but for the most part I love that school

This school has it ups and downs. as long as you do good and pay attention you will do fine. at first you might hate it but trust me all the teachers love their students some might seem bad, But they do.For clubs personally I recommend bike club & youth achievement tomorrow my last day I wish people luck

This school is horrible, especially the teachers and counselors. The counselors dont even help the students whatsoever. I hate all the teachers like mr beck, I hate his class it was a night mare to be in his class. I only like ms. Deweese and Mr king (math). The office ladies are so LAZY, I thought being office side was nice, but no it was the worst experience of my school life. Ms. Hernandez was my favorite out of all the teachers in this school. But she moved away. I broke down, because she was the only one that understood me. I eats this 1 star because this school needs to improve.

I thought highly of Sam Houston until a teacher by the name of Hannah Leechy told my child she was tired of her ass. For supposedly rolling her eyes at the teacher. Assuming my daughter did roll her eyes at her, Mrs Leechys response was extremely inappropriate and does reflect and speak on behalf of Sam Houston Middle school. While she still teaches there, i also hold Sam Houston Middle school accountable for Mrs Hannah Leechys actions. This is not the way to discipline a student nor is threatening to remove the student from the classroom. Mrs Leechy may not be capable of performing her duties as a teacher and I question how many other students shes spoken to in this manner.

I love this school i just dont like coach hufstedler cuz he got my guy friend in trouble and i like it cuz its fun and it really teaches u a lot if yall get mr.martinez in 7th grade just so yall know he strict but only when u dont do homework and when u dont work or dont take notes he also calls parents if yall dont do homework

Bro... Im sorry to say I went to that school during 6th grade then I moved to another school.. The only thing that i really do miss were my friends they were Awesome! Like Arianna, she was my Best Friend I miss her so much, I still think about her.. Then besides friends there would be alot of drama of course fights, but according to middle school no matter where you go there will be fights.. I regret moving because i never got the chance to get the info from my friends that I needed like their #. It was stupid of me, but the next grade level for me is 9th which is High School Im going to Rowlett.. For any of my friends that are reading this just remember that Ive never forgotten about you! 😜 You will always be remembered I love you guys, and everyday I wish to run into you! But, anyway the schools I guess ok..

Its ok theres alot of mexicans which i have to say about that my friend are mexican i just wish there were more black people and the teachers are ok, i love mr.king. same of my teacher dont talk loud enough even though they know im hard of hearing and the school doesnt really do anything about the couples just standing in the hallway just kissing and the passing period is so crazy they dont even know how to control it but the teacher are ok and the school over all is kinda weird but if u think that the school is right for your children then dont let what i have to say stop u.

Do not listen to Paige Muniz, I was in Sam Houston this year as a 6th grader too. I can promise you that if you have a good attitude you wont have a problem here, yes there were fights but not everyday. At first when I came her I was pretty nervous because frankly Im pretty shy but I didnt have problem with nobody, I knew the people that would start fights but I never got in one by not getting too close to them or too far just friendly enough. I had Paige for my 2nd period (gym) and I can assure you that the only reason shes saying that is because she might have been smart but her attitude was terrible. Also the teachers arent that bad, my teachers were Mr. Mondragon (art) Coach Ramos (gym) Mr. Smith (social studies) Ms. Gillen (science) Mr. York (math) and Ms. Thompson (reading & writing) and all I can say is that they couldnt have been better teachers with me. Hope you choose Sam Houston, you are making the right choice !!PS: Im a cheerleader and was the only girl to get the Straight A honor roll this year, so dont think I just said all of this just because I like the school, it really did help me find out what I want and dont want in my life.

I went to 8th grade there, 1965-1966, and it was way above any school experience I attended afterwards till I got to OU. Wish I could have stayed in that school system till graduation under different family circumstances.

2015 was my last year at Sam Houston and i absolutely loved it there
