This is a great school with teachers that care about the children. The principle is very caring and always willing to help anyone, adult or child. He is this schools greatest asset. He does not approach you with an attitude of who are you and why are you here although he does ask questions to determine what your needs are and does not leave you till you have the help you need. The teachers for my kids were all very interested in making their learning experience the best out could be. Although their methods are not the most affective they do care greatly about the kids.Now for the bad...The method used at this school to pickup your children is HORRIBLE! It is not safe for the kids at all. The parents in their cars almost get road rage when someone, like myself, HAD to pickup my child a little early due to either a doctor appointment or if they are sick. Parents start showing up and lining up around 1:30pm. School is not out till 3pm. This kind of shows that their are some parents willing to wait 1.5 hours just to avoid other parents and get out of the area as fast as possible.The two streets, in front and side of the school, should be one way only during the light flashing. This would allow parents to park on either side of the street to allow parents, who are not afraid to get out of their car, the opportunity to walk up to get their kids. Instead you have cars going both ways stopping in the middle of the street letting their passenger get out and go for them. These stationary cars do not move till the passenger returns with these kids. This blocks the only lane, along the school side, that cars are allowed to park so parents can get out.All this mess has forced me to park almost the next street over and walk with my kids to the car. I can get out of the danger zone within 5 minutes and avoid all the crazy procrastinating parents who feel they are superior to everyone else and cause mass mayhem just cause they cant wait 15 minutes from the back of the car line.To sum it up... Great teachers and wonderful principle! Avoid the after school pickup area at all costs for you and childs safety!
