Man. Order from reverb from these guys. 2 day delivery, shipped same day. Love it. Had a one of a kind bass cab by hartke. Hydrive series, 1st generation model. Goes down to 20 hz. Up to 17 k hz. My specialty piece thats coupled with 2 10s by ampeg, with 300 watts each cab. 600 total. Ampeg powered. Omg, we take 5 string basses down a step and a half and this cab holds the fundamental tone of such low frequency response of 20 hz. Perfect.

A classic old-fashioned music shop. They have a lovely broad variety of instruments. My personal interest here is ukuleles; their selection is stellar. Prices are very reasonable too. In the back of the joint they have music lessons. They had a teacher who was perfect for my son, who is autistic! Terrific customer service. And they have jams several evenings a week too.

Support local businesses! The guys are always very helpful and you dont get the same kind of condescending attitude that you often get at certain chain music stores. Theyre great to work with and are very knowledgeable about all the gear they sell. My band has been renting rehearsal space for over a year and the guys always make sure we have what we need. We can try stuff out and all of the band members have bought various things since we became a regular rehearsal space client.

Lessons available with some great instructors, repair for instruments available, and great advice about what gear to get.Parking can be a challenge, for safety park behind the store, dont park across the street and challenge cars.

Sold me a ukulele they did not have in stock and made it seem as though I hassled them by making the order. In the end no instrument and a very unhappy customer. If they would have communicated with me when they knew they didnt have it I probably would not be do agravated. Make sure to check and see if they have what you ordering in stock before bothering spending your money with them.

I always get good service at Victor Litz. There are some bargains to be found, especially in the used equipment. The guitar selection is pretty broad, with something at every price point. They have a good variety of accessories at reasonable prices.

MUSIC LESSONS FOR KIDS ROCK! My son loves the place and the teachers. I love the prices and convenience. Parking is rright across the street and it is never a problem. They charge you about half of what any other place does and teach about twice as much. Whats not to love. The instruction rooms are beautifully decorated and fun to be in. Well equipped waiting area for parents with small kids with tons of activities and supplies. Love it!

The teachers are phenomenal. Well skilled. And Leigh has exemplary customer service skills. Always a pleasant experience interacting with her.

After hunting for weeks for a new fender, i saw this stores site and they had the best deal going. before i purchased i even called them to make sure they still had the guitar i wanted and they confirmed they did... so i plunked down my credit card. then i find that they cancelled my order without letting me know. no email no nothing ... and i still havent seen the refund on my card. i feel that they didnt want to sell me the guitar at the price they listed it with free shipping ... avoid online sales, their customer service sucks

Litz Music is a hump for me to get to but well worth the trip. This is largely a guitar shop but I found them very helpful in getting me started with a tenor saxophone rental. I was able to rent long term and was even provided somewhat of an upgraded sax model. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ill pay them another visit in a few months to receive the free lesson they offered. While I wish they were located closer to my residence I couldnt ask for better service. Thanks!

Ill give you guys the extra star for selection, but I was very disappointed during my last visit. Firstly, you guys have GOT to do something about your absurd wait at the front desk. Just an acknowledgement of it would be nice.I waited with 3 other people for about 15 minutes before one of us was finally helped or even spoken to. When it finally was my turn, I asked for advisement on some strings for my P Bass. I was recommended some Daddarrios, which I purchased and took home to string. When I got them on my bass, I discovered the strings had major action problems with open notes, and they tapired off toward the top of the bass before the nut.So I came back in to find out what was wrong with the strings (while waiting with no acknowledgement, again) Turns out that your first associate sold me strings for a SHORT SCALE bass. I asked to exchange them. I was told, Uh, well, these strings are cut, so we cant. No apology for the issue. Just that excuse.You totally could, bro. You guys made the mistake with selling me the wrong strings, and you could have easily made this right by swapping me for the correct strings. I would never have cut them if I knew they were the wrong strings.Long story short, if you cant at least trust these guys advisement, you sure cant trust their customer service. Wont be going back here again.

I went in on a Saturday to try guitars in the acoustic room. No one bothered me the entire time, and just let me try everything out. When I came out with a guitar I was interested in it was no problem finding a salesperson who was helpful and knowledgeable -- and who was definitely not a green kid or used-car dealer type. Bought a beautiful used Martin that was on consignment, and got what I thought was a very fair price. In general their prices matched what is on Amazon or other local area stores. We need to support these unique, local businesses, or they will disappear -- and all thatll be left are McGuitar places.

Victor Litz is a traditional family owned music store that specializes in musical instruments. It has some DJ sound systems, party lighting (not a huge selection ADJ, Stagg, & Chauvet lights, Mackie, QSC, & Stagg Speakers) but a huge selection of instruments like Guitars, Bass, & keyboards. The staff knows live music performance.

I was renting a violin and it wasnt working correctly. Staff tried to fix but decided on switching it to a newer violin. They were helpful and quick to resolve the problem.

My daughter has lessons there but on that particular day, there was an event. From the moment we walked in the doors, Miss Teri was so sweet and kind. She calmed my daughter who was performing. But more than that she was so welcoming to each person that came in. She was interested in meeting grandparents and friends. That is the way it is anytime you go in there. Some of the guys might be quieter but they are all amazing. They work to make everyone who walks through the doors happy. If you are at Lessons, you deal with Lee. She is wonderful all wrapped in a box sitting behind a desk. She tries to solve all problems but it is tough.Then there is Tony, the great. One day he got on the phone for a piece for my sons saxophone. He did not have it. He did not just say I will order it. He called the company who made the piece. I was in awe. This is a wonderful family music store. Tons of guitars, ukes, amps,etc and instruments to learn on as well as nicer instruments.Take a moment. Go for a walk in Gaithersburg. See the fountains. Stop in and and see the friends at Victor Litz!

A good all in 1 facility with educated staff and good instructors

Picked up my first guitar from VLM about a month or so ago. Sat in the music room for a while and wasnt bothered/pressured once. When I was ready to talk to someone with my questions they were immediately available. Being new to guitar they humored all of my newbie questions and even went above and beyond to inform me of things I hadnt even thought about. As I was working within a budget and had just missed the previous weeks sale, they still honored it and I got a great deal on my Martin guitar! Brought it back about a week later to have it set up and met Tony Liz, great guy, offered lots of great advice and encouragement. Definitely a great shopping experience that has me going back all the time to look around and right away when I need something.Ive shopped a fair amount of stores in the area (Guitar Center, Music & Arts, Atomic) and VLM seems to hit the comfort spot fo rme. Sure parking there can be a bit of pain but in the end its worth the customer experience. Will be looking into lessons with them soon also.

Not the closest guitar shop to me, but ill go there because their staff are generally more knowledgeable and less douchy than most guitar stores.Update: Got a very competent modification from them on a potentially confusing set up (guitar has dual HBers and an active piezo bridge).

Walked in to request that VL get a lefty Martin DX for my son to try before he buys it. The DX is $600 and my son is not buying it without trying, which I felt is smart on his part.I thought that as a good client (already bought a lefty fender, ovation, and many other things) and neighbor VL owner would be amiable. Although I recognize that bringing in a lefty guitar and not making a sale is a risk, I might have been willing to pay for a reasonable fee.However the attitude of the owners (father and son) was chocking, and I had never felt this small at VL. I guess they change customer service as they change store layout!I was told to find another store to try the guitar (no store in the region has it) and then come back to buy it at VL. Recession anyone? Why would you send your regular customers away? Dont you have thousands of unsold instruments waiting for the risk of not being sold already?So the answer was only 1 out of 100 customers are lefty, so usually we suggest you play as a righty and if I bring a lefty guitar it will be a final sale.Way to go for superior customer service!Even more surprising for a neighborhood store was the owners son calling dad to the rescue in front of other customers, and the dad saying: I will get involved because i can almost hear the voices raising. Almost? What is that supposed to mean? Are you acting as a bouncer? Customer that attempt to explain their needs to an immature, undertrained, unwilling, opinionated, and self-righteous employee are thrown out?You just lost a customer Victor Litz. Hope the next one you gain to replace me is a righty.

Staff is very friendly but incompetent. Over the course of three weeks I called four times to have them order strings for me and they utterly failed to complete my request. Instead I took my business to guitar center, reluctantly.
