My family has benefited from the preschool music classes, small group classes (voice, guitar), private lessons (piano), and summer camps. The faculty is outstanding. They make sure the kids know the technical side of music and the performance side. Lessons and classes are fun and my kids dont complain about practicing. They offer many performance opportunities including recitals, festivals, competitions, and more. I highly recommend MINT for music education.

The private business manager/principle does not follow the rule/policy she set for customers. She change the rule frequently without customer’s agreement. Since I told the truth with a low rating, She immediately stopped my classes (5 classes left for this school year) and took my money forcedly, reject my phone call. Never meet such distrustful and unreasonable private business. Do not invest your time and kids here! The principle women is the big boss with big temper！

Great school with excellent professors. Be have been with them since moving to Frisco in 2016, first with my older son (with Mr. Anton) and later with my younger one (with Dr. Szu-Ying). They motivate kids to play and improve their musical skills. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very happy with MINT!

A Chinese couple run this biz and the Chinese women (principle) is very rude and dishonest! They request us to cancel a class earlier and told me to do make up before sometime by phone, but finally they reject me to do make up and said that many their customers’ kids did not come to take class and paid them money. They sent many emails every week but never sent an email about your cancellation info or how many make-up classes you allowed/left for this school year (3 times each year), so if you do not know this policy or do not remember how many make-up classes you used for the whole year, you will lost your money, coz they won’t let you know once you use out and will misleading you to cancel. Also, they said we can pay in cash with about 5% (or 3%) discount for one year booking, we paid in cash, but finally they took back my discount at the last time. The reason they said we did not take one full year due to covid-19 (a few months they closed their office), however we have paid in cash.

I am an adult student and have been receiving violin lessons from Ms. Kristen for almost two years as a hobby. It’s been a pleasure to learn from her. The admin are friendly and helpful as well.

First and foremost, excellent teachers. A great place to get well-rounded music education: my daughter did piano, voice, and violin lessons there; happy with all her teachers. Also important, the school is well organized. Plenty of opportunities for kids to perform, always prompt in addressing concerns and responding to requests. They have been fairly accommodating with our scheduling needs, although their policy of only three make-up classes a year (a year!) does add some pressure (certainly gives parents an incentive to send a coughing and sneezing but otherwise energetic kid to class, not sure how teachers survive flu season).

Great place to learn piano

We have been attending Music Institute of North Texas since my oldest son, now 13, was 6.We have been enrolling all our kids during the past years. Five of our seven kids ages 13,11,9,8,and 6 takes private piano lessons with Ms. Vita.The music material is systematic and she is very experienced in teaching young kids. They all progresses steadily and have gained confidence from the encouragement Ms. Vita Is giving them. She really is an extraordinary teacher whit great knowledge. My kids love music and have been gaining confidence, and love for the piano. The facility is well equipped, and they offered plenty of opportunity for the children to participate in recital, festivals, competitions, programs like the Royal Conservatory, and State Theory Test. The owner, Ms.Melody, also very knowledgeable in music is very good in choosing just the best teachers for her institute. The staff is friendly and open to any comment or issue you may have on the way. Such a blessing to have a place like this in Frisco.As a homeschool family, Music Institute is part of our Music/Art class in our curriculum. I highly recommend this studio to any family planning to give their kids the gift of music.

Our daughter has been with MINT for at least 7 years. Her teacher, Ms. Vita is one the best in our opinion and now our son has started learning at MINT as well. The school is nice, clean and comfortable.We enjoy our time there.

Our daughter has progressed far with piano at the institute. She plays beautifully! Her success is in no small part due to her training here. The teachers are not just professional and knowledgeable, but inviting, kind, and encouraging to their young students. We look forward to enrolling our second child at Music Institute of North Texas as well when she is ready.

Our sons teacher, Mr. Jason, has done an amazing job at working with us and our son. He has been extremely kind and patient and has supported us through our sons musical education. I definitely recommend this place and Mr. Jason for any level of previous musical knowledge.

We have been patrons for more than 5 years. Our children have always had a great experience with ALL the teachers and staff. It is a first rate, professionally run school. With some of the best teachers from all over the world. And the staff has never been anything but courteous and accommodating. This isnt someones living room--this is a true music school. You wont be disappointed. Your childs musical ability will grow by leaps and bounds!

Great music school. We have been with this school for almost two years. I was able to find teachers that fit my two kids with very different personalities. As a part of their learning experience, they offer optional opportunities to perform in festivals, recitals, and competitions. I see some complaints about their policies. This is a school with a contract when you sign up. So really read through what youre signing up before you enroll. I believe there is also an option for you to try out lessons without enrolling.

My daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Mr. Jason at The MINT since she was in 2nd grade. He is a talented and patient teacher with the expertise to challenge his students without overwhelming them. It has been a pleasure to hear her musical abilities grow (along with her confidence) over the past 5 years. I highly recommend this music school and Mr. Jason.

Our daughter started at 3 years old and loves going every Saturday

Our son has been a student at MINT for three years. We are blessed to have found such a wonderful teacher. Her patience with our son encourages him to be perseverant to not only learn his music, but to also produce his best quality. At the same time she continuously challenges our son to advance his music further with each piece that he embarks on as she introduces new technical elements at just the right pace. She does a great job of preparing him for the music development program by setting specific goals for him. Our son enjoys piano lessons because every once in a while his teacher allows him to pick a song that he enjoys listening to, which certainly inspires him to practice diligently. Recently she has been training our son to perform in local festivals and competitions. This has been most rewarding because it helps our son gain experience to perform for an audience and builds his self-confidence. It has also been a great character-building exercise - brings out his competitive spirit, encourages him to work hard to achieve his goals and teaches him to be humble. It’s also fun for us to watch the artistry in his performance as he has started appreciating music and it sometimes shows in his expression! We are very proud of what our teacher has helped our son achieve in a short time. We don’t have a musical background, but with the help of our teacher, we have never felt at a disadvantage. We are also very grateful for Dr. Melody Ouyang for creating opportunities for MINT students to excel in their musical development. We highly recommend the school for bringing out excellence in music in anyone.

I love it here!! The office manager is always friendly and smiling and the have the best hygienist in the world! Ask for Natashia, shes the best.

We got our daughter enrolled in MINT for singing classes. All I have to genuinely say is that MINT knows how to run a profitable school for sure. They have policies like a withdrawl fee of $50 even if you give a 30 day notice, for sure a good way of earning money !! We have had our kids in several classes where its only a prior notice of 30 days but no forced money to be given. I am sorry to say that we were completely upset by it.

We love this place, My son has been a student here for 6 years, wonderful teachers who are really professionals in their own areas but able to interact very well with kids.
