Amazing school for emergency medical technician training. The teacher Jim is amazing. He has my highest regards. Im a little slower then others but he broke it down to where I can understand it and made me feel welcome everyday I was there. One of the best experiences of my life. It is a fast and tough 17 days but it is rewarding. I would highly recommend this course because there is a lot of hands on training and scenarios I dont think you would get anywhere else. Thank you all for having me and my sis

Tom Peroni and the staff at CCJA are among the best in the area. Tom has extensive experience in many fields to include personal protection, law enforcement, and emergency medicine. His facility is well-equipped and organized to conduct the necessary training for his attendees. I recently attended several courses at CCJA to add additional skills as a security professional and all were top-notch. I highly recommend CCJA for any tactical training needs. -XGS

I attended a class a few years ago .The academy has a very clean and well maintained office. The instructor I had was very informative. She went out her way to create an comfortable learning environment. She also demonstrated the ability to teach students at different levels. She is by all means a great instructor I would gladly take any class she has to offer just not at this location. With that said this location is not monitory friendly. Yes your money will be accepted but you will feel the disdain that the director has for minorities. Couple that with the fact that he is an officer of the law in the area stay far far away from the academy. No IM NOT A Competitor MY REVIEW WAS DELAYED DUE TO FEAR OF RETALIATION.

Love this place!!! Just finished armed training here and I have to say it was great! The instructors were very knowledgeable and taught me the right fundamentals and techniques to carry and use a firearm. I definitely plan on coming back here for more training... in fact I wouldnt go anywhere else but here for training. If your trying to get armed training this is the place to go.

I truly cant say enough good things about CCJA. Head instructor Tom Peroni is very highly qualified, extremely knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. His engaging personality, patience, and good sense of humor help to make CCJAs classes enjoyable and rewarding experiences. No matter which course you enroll in, you can expect to learn a great deal and will come away feeling more confident in your abilities. Tom prioritizes safety above all else and instills that mindset in all of his students. He will push you and you will find yourself reaching higher levels of proficiency than you may have imagined yourself capable of. At the same time, he also does a terrific job of tailoring the intensity of his classes to the capabilities of his students. In short, if you are looking for top notch training from a skilled professional, look no further.

Love this Place!I have been training at the Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy for the past four years and I must say, If I didnt think it was an excellent place to train I wouldnt keep going back. The training director Tom Perroni is a Class A instructor with unlimited knowledge of firearms and Law Enforcement training.I highly recommend the Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy to anyone wanting a good foundation and keeping their skill set sharp as a Armed Security Officer.I would like to add that I have just finished reading a bad review on the director not being minority friendly at the academy.THIS IS A DREADFUL LIE, I myself am first generation born in the United States and every time I come back to the Academy for retraining I am welcomed with TOTAL RESPECT Thank you Mr Tom Perroni for the best training possible, I always leave with a sense of pride and accomplishment when the training is completed.

I’ve been working armed security for just under seven years, and I have consistently found myself coming back to the CCJA for my training. With solid training, and the staff all being experts in their own fields, not only are you trained but given real life scenarios from instructors who have gone out and done the job. The atmosphere of the classes are professional, and the instructors have always been able to answer my questions. I have never had a bad experience in working with the CCJA, and will continue to attend as able.

I was able to play OpFor for CCJAs TCCC class. The main focus for the day was casualty care under fire and casevac. We were given all the safety equipment, which they were very professional and accommodating about *mark of a true force on force school*. After loading up, we were all briefed on the scenarios, and the team of students were allowed to run practice scenarios with OpFor(us) giving them resistance. The instructor guided them through the practice runs, but there was no hand holding or overinstructing. Our role as OpFor was to give the students hard resistance while caring for their casualty. Other than relative position in the room, we were left to do as we pleased after the first run for each scenario.Overall, from what I saw, this is a great resource for law enforcement and military personnel. If youre a civilian, this is an amazing place to get training. A lot of this stuff is hard to come by in the civilian world. Tom, the owner, has made it clear that they would love to have more civilian courses in their catalog.

Best Tactical Firearms and Medical Training you can get for civilians. It’s hard to find one training academy that teaches so many different subjects at such a high level. I’ve taken many of their courses from Tactical Handgun to the Accelerated EMT class and they helped open many doors for me. I’ve trained with some other great instructors at different training facilities but Vincent Chambers & Tom Perroni are two of the best.

I recently attended a Basic TSCM training course at CCJA. The best way to describe my experience is...AMAZING! Our instructor had incredible knowledge and insight. As a former Secret Service TSD he was fully versed in this area. What pleased us the most was the hands on approach and the customized nature of his training style. He took a large batch of subject matter and made easy to understand. Being able to construct and investigate devices first hand is a priceless experience. The CCJA training facility is one of the best most professional environment for training i have seen in all my years in the business. With excellent classrooms and multiple simulated office/residential rooms, only increased the realism needed for such training. Cant wait for the next training.

Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy is by far the best training I have received in the security, medicine, tactical, and personal protection fields. I have trained at Executive Security International and Accredited Security Training Incorporated. At both of these training organizations I went through weeks of training of training. In roughly a quarter of the time of training with Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy I have learned at least twice as much as both of the other organizations combined. I would not suggest any other place if you want real, applicable, and effective training.

Outstanding training!!! Idid my research and checked out the bignamed companies as well as the locals. I based my decision on several factors, research into what classes were available, cost, reviews, and talking to my colleagues. CCJA was one of the top rated training facilities based on my parameters. They have the widest schedule of training classes when it comes to diverse disciplines. The cost is just above mid range and me fellow security Brothers and Sistes highly recommended CCJA. Reviews are subjective and individual based. CCJA continues to produce an outstanding customer satisfaction rating and most importantly they continually have return customers. The knowledge and ability of the staff is top notch. Here they teach you not just what you need to know but how to properly perform the skills being taught. You dont just show up and receive a certification. You earn your certification. That is the true sign of a reputable training organization. After 22 years in the Security field with extensive mandatory skills requalifications I improved my pistol percentage and accuracy by leaps and bounds and was amazed by how much new knowledge I learned about the processes I thought had been mastering. So if you take pride in your training and performance I highly recommend CCJA. If you are still not sure, stop by and meet the staff. See the photos of the vast array of previous attendees from around the world. Talk to them about your needs, they will meet and surpass your expectations.

I have done firearms recerts here for a.few years now and enjoy the process each time. They go a bit beyond the minimum necessary to requalify, throwing in tips and training along with the standard procedure for the same cost. I would rather get something more than just a recert for my money and they do that 125% that I am looking for. Good people. Clear presentation. Flexible when necessary but certainly safety conscious and orderly.

CCJA is a superb training company and I dont give 5 Stars lightly.I have attended CCJA training myself, sent employees (including my daughter) and have referred folks to Tom Perronis courses for about 15 years. I find the training top notch, the cost fair and this is one of the training providers that I look for on a resume to know someone has had excellent training. No company or person is perfect, and sometimes dealing with DCJS to obtain certifications is difficult; anyone can experience trouble from time to time - but CCJA will work hard to resolve these issues that all training companies will experience from time to time. I encourage anyone considering a CCJA training course to pull the trigger and go.Steven Collins, President, Black Ice Security Services, Inc.

CCJA is a premier professional academy with something you dont find in many other training facilities. In the various DOD schools and public safety / law enforcement training academies I have attended, there were always instructors who were there because of injury or tenure or whatever who should not have been teaching. Any professional reading this understands what I mean by this. Being an accredited private academy, CCJA can choose among the best instructors in their respective fields. When you attend training from the cadre you should notice that the wealth of knowledge and experience makes youre training experience worth the cost especially over the simple certification which give you a card and no real education/experience. They may cost more but it is worth it. CCJA has government only and military only classes and contracts that are not advertised to the public and they could easily not teach civilian courses because they are much less profitable but they choose to do so for the students benefit. Some instructors come and go of course, or dont work out and that is part of doing business. But while subject matter experts come and go the core values and mission remain true to the student. I have been attending this academy for over 10 years and know numerous other federal agents and career public safety personnel who got their start with this school. The networking is invaluable and I challenge any other school/instructors to match the level of dedication to their students as these women and men do. I have witnessed after hours training of those with the need, and desire, to perform better without even the slightest compliant from the staff. I recognize one of the names of the people who posted a negative review and can only say that just just because you did not apply yourself and take the instruction they gave you seriously dont blame it on the school when you could not get hired/rehired by youre department. Thank you CCJA staff for the valuable training and extra time spent with me sharpening my skills. If I could make any recommendations it would be to convince the military / Dept of State to allow the civilians to attend courses with the Naval Special Warfare and ARMY 18 series students so the civilians could get that knowledge base but I know that is the gov/militarys restriction and not really CCJA.
